My business has had multiple lines with AT&T since almost a decade. I came here to fix an Apple Watch connection issue. We waited for 45 minutes to be let into the store. Outside the store, I discussed the issue proactively with an employee to save them time. As we entered, a different associate said "He told me you issue, we can't help you here. You need to call customer service." When I asked why not (since customer service had sent me there) I was asked " Sir, Why are you yelling at me?!" I was standing with my 80 yo father and 1.5 yo toddler who were stunned! I didn't yell, I would never yell around my son. It was clear that I hear guys don't care about their jobs or customers. I will be moving all my lines to Verizon this week. ATT doesn't deserve my money. read more

Bought an Apple Watch for 900 back in March sales person told me they have a promotion and I can get the second watch up to value if $300 free if I pay the sales tax, and the monthly plan charge, so I decided I wanted to get the deal. However, I kept getting charged for both phones called AT&T 3 times and stopped by the store 3 times to be tossed back and forth between the store telling me I have to call or at&t rep telling me I have to go to the store. Each time I went they had "new employees" that didn't know anything about the previous person "helping" me 8 months later and 7-8 hours of my time waste I'm still paying for the second watch. I've been an AT&T customer for almost 20 years and was tired of paying so much for 1 line. Mark was super helpful, knowledgeable and patient. He took his time to find me a phone plan that works better for me. He lowered my bill, answered all my questions, and saved a long time customer! Came in to buy a prepaid SIM card for my cousin's phone (he was in town for a few days, visiting from abroad). We bought a SIM card from this store...but it didn't work. Sales reps tried for almost half an hour and couldn't get it to work. Why? No one knows. They kept blaming his phone (which was BS, since his phone has taken countless SIM cards from providers everywhere in the past. Not to mention we took the SIM card to an Apple store the next day, and it didn't work on any of their phones either). When we asked for a refund, they refused. Basically just dropped $25 down the drain with no recourse. At another AT&T store the following day, they also could not get it to work, but at least were being proactive about trying to help us - whereas the Hoboken store immediately shut us out. To sweeten the deal, we went to T-mobile the next day and purchased a SIM card. Hey guess what - it worked perfectly!! So - if you ever have a need for a prepaid SIM card, definitely try T-mobile. And if you absolutely need an AT&T store for whatever reason, avoid this one. read more

I recently went to ATT Store in Hoboken. To say the least I left infuriated. I called them and they told me they had blue iPhone 12 pros and max. I get there then they tell me they don't have any and I told them I just called then their reply was that they are holding it for someone, which on the automated phone system says they aren't suppose to do. We were off to the wrong start. The guy in the store was literally trying his best to deter me from getting this iPhone. It was like getting toilet paper when the pandemic first began. This is how ATT Store in Hoboken is treating the iPhone 12's they have in stock. I was told I could trade my phone in and had 30 days then was told it had to be traded at the moment, which wouldn't assure that I have all my data from my phone (not cool). They also said I had to be out of the store as soon as our transaction was over! No consideration for my phone's data or anything! I pay ATT over 530.00 a month on a business account to get this kind of treatment as a business. I had a past due balance, which would 100% allow me to buy the iPhone and the employee and manager just wanted to make me pay it to give me the phone. It was simply an excuse so they can keep the rare blue iPhones, weather it was for an employee or a friend for sure. I felt the energy in the room; the manager was right next to the store employee like it was 'you better find a way not to let that iPhone go'. So obvious it was pathetic. I called ATT outside the store and placed the order for my new iPhone on the phone and didn't have to pay my past due just as I said because I have done it before with having a balance. I have this place 2 stars instead of zero because the first group I encountered helped me even though it took a while it wasn't their fault. However on Tuesday I called this location because the iPad I got from them couldn't be connected for some reason. The guy on the phone finally figured out I didn't have a SIM card (which he says should have came in the iPad because it was brand new). It was 2pm, I asked him if he had any and what time they were open until. He said they were open until 8pm so I left work and went over there at about 4pm. I had a lot of things to do, wen my far out of my way to go back there since that's where I purchased it, and they were CLOSED. You have no idea how irritating that was since I had been trying since Sunday to activate the line. I knocked on the door, called and nothing. I called today twice , left on eternaL hold , then a third time get hung up on, she didn't even ask me what I needed, just put me on hold . Regardless of the reason this behavior is unacceptable. I have worked in retail for many years phone etiquette is critical and she doesn't have any. She should not be a manager let someone with experience handle this store, maybe get the phone etiquette to go along with your so called great customer service. Its a shame !!!!!!! read more

I needed to purchase a phone and a plan and had no idea what I was doing. I visited AT&T, Verizon, and even T-Mobile on Washington St. AT&T by far had the best customer service. The employee named Clark walked me through every plan and phone that was available and wrote down all the information breaking down what the overall costs were. I went with AT&T just because of him. Verizon was ok but they were not nearly as in depth or informative. The T-Mobile guy didn't even bother to stop leaning against the wall. But yeah, great experience there and the phone hasn't blown up yet, so that's nice too! read more

I don't usually write reviews about phone stores, but this associate's service was so stellar I felt compelled to. My iPhone had been acting up for quite some time, and it was pretty annoying since I had it for only 4 months. I worked around the corner and decided to walk in one day to complain about the lack of quality. As soon as I stepped foot inside the store I was greeted by Michael, who first smiled and said hello (This is a common courtesy that is often forgotten in retail). After that he proceeded to ask me if there was anything that he could help me with. Once I told him of my phone issues, he walked me to the kiosk where he continued to inform me of the process of replacing my phone since it was still under warranty. I must have spent about 20 minutes or so at the store, but to be honest it felt like only a couple of minutes because of his pleasant attitude. Not only was I able to get a replacement phone the same day, but I was also able to get various tips on great places to eat in the neighborhood since I was new in town. Mike is the reason why I will continue to come to this store for services in the future and remain an at&t customer. read more

I usually don't write reviews unless I feel strongly. I cannot believe how rude some of the employees are. When adding a new line, they sold me the most expensive plan, with less service. Luckily, I was able to correct this with a rep over the phone. I unfortunately had to get a new phone due to damage, and they did not want to help me set it up at all. I forget my sales person's name but he has black hair and is little bulky, looks like Italian. He is a terrible sales people who cannot be any less helpful. The plan I purchased did not work so I came back. I tried to get it fixed in a different ATT store but they told me to come back to the one I made the purchase and said ATT sales person was supposed to check it for me before I left. When I returned, my sales person was assisting another customer so I had a different person to help me. He insisted that he checked my phone and everything worked. Lie. It turned out to be an ATT network setting issue that I needed some password. My new sales person helped me set it correctly. But at the time I was leaving, he still did not forget to add "I though I definitely checked it. Whatever!" Not only unprofessional but has a bad attitude. I have to give this location a bad review as well. The employees are friendly, but incredibly lazy. My phone wouldn't turn on one day so I took it to the store to see what they could find out for me. The girl who helped me plugged it in & it didn't turn on so she said my phone was probably broken and I needed a new one, but when I asked to see what they had available she told me to go to the Jersey City Store since their inventory was all in the back & she didn't want to have to bring it out for me. Well, I don't have all the time in the world to run around phone shopping so I plugged my phone in at work while I shopped online. As it turned out the battery kept trying to charge & I realized it was only the battery that needed replacing, not the whole phone. When I do decide to replace my phone I certainly won't be doing it at this location. read more

Called them up, they promised to setup my phone. It took me 30 minutes to drive there to pick up my phone. I get there to come and find to out that the person who answered the phone wasn't an employee there. They said that it was just someone who is visiting the store. Perhaps it was the girlfriend of one of the employees playing around. They refused to tell me. Just a bunch of frat boys at this store. If you need help, go to the one in the Newport Mall in Jersey City. I went there after all of this non-sense and they were great! read more
