Kintech is located off 290 off Jones Road in the shopping strip that houses E-star Chinese buffet…read more It's right next to it and you cannot miss it. There is ample parking available outside. Once you get inside, it's a really cool shop with a chess board, netflix, lounge-y seating, and H2O which I think is a nice touch and really should be mandatory in all Houston shops as it feels like you are walking on Jupiter outside almost year round. I was greeted immediately on both visits with a pleasant professional demeanor. I came into Kintech to get my dad's iPhone 5's battery fixed. The battery kept dying within minutes of being charged. Even after it was charged to100%. I took the iPhone to Kintech because of a recommendation and I got excellent service. Unfortunately the phone was worse this time. However, I took the phone back and they replaced the battery free of any additional cost and gave great customer service. If it wasn't for my friend, I wouldn't have ever known about Kintech. It might be a little out of the way for people that are not from that part of town but it's really a cool shop. It's great for cell phone repair with good service which is really hard to come by. They also have vapes and computer repair available (Windows & MAC). If you check-in on yelp you get a discount off your total. Can't go wrong. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

The top right edge of the screen didn't seem properly aligned but everything was working fine (and I made the mistake of saying I didn't need my receipt) so I left it as is. Over the past months the screen has just come undone from the phone entirely. The camera is fuzzy, Face ID no longer works, and the screen will often stop responding to touch. If you have the money for it get your screen replaced by apple directly, it might cost a bit more but at least you can be certain the screen works and you will be able to trade your phone in at a later time for a discount. Apple won't take any old phones unless it has a "certified apple" screen.

WOW. I've been in some shady freaking places…read more But this place? They treat fraud as if it were an Olympic sport and they the gold record holder. Sam was the Indian "gentleman" who "assisted me. Today I went to this Verizon store to switch to phone lines from AT&T to them and get a couple of new iPhones. Which I strongly recommend to everyone else out there not to do. I mean I hear Verizon is great, but ya surely don't wanna go with these ass clowns. The guy told me up front "the only thing you'll have to pay today is the sales tax for the phones." Then again, when he was asking for my card, he told me "the only thing I'm going to charge you for today is the sales tax." Then he made a Big Show of putting everything in these nice bags for me to take with me. So, on the drive home it hits me: the number is off. On the sales tax, the number is off. Sam was very clear that he was only charging me the sales tax on to iPhone 17 pro maxes which were $1210 each. At 8.25% but it should be a couple hundred dollars. But he just charged my card for $286. I guess he thought since I'm white and my wife is Spanish that we couldn't do math. So when I get home, I pull out the itemized print out receipt that this fool actually gave me a print out of and let me walk out with (after I had paid, which is how you can tell a Real professional thief versus a petty amateur. These f-ers do this every day) showing that he had just charged me $40 per phone for "Pro Setup." There's a couple of kickers that make this fraud even more extreme. For one thing, dude Actually charged me TAX on the $80 he was stealing from me! That's how it got to $286.26; Tax on $2420 should have been $199.65. It's also ironic that he was charging me the made-up $80 for "pro set up." This crook just activated the phones with our numbers and said, "Here you are sir and ma'am. I still have not been able to fully get either one fully set up. Check out the bottom of the first charge. It goes: Subtotal: $80 Tx State tax 2%. $50 Tx State Tax 6.25%. $156.26 Financed: $2,420 ----------------------------- Total: $286.26 Hmmmmmm..... something seems weird about that configuration. I didn't finance anything that's weird. Why does it show financed 2420? I mean, that's the exact amount that I was financing. But it doesn't belong there. Is it intentionally confusing on purpose ya think? Like, most of that shit doesn't even need to be on there. I was wondering how some kid worked in a cell phone store drove a Tesla model X. And finally, at the bottom of that first page it says "Today You Saved $60.00" Really? Did I? So, yeah, nobody should probably shop here. This place has the receipt set up the way they do so that they can put whatever numbers they want in there, charge you whatever they want to charge you, and pay taxes on whatever they want to pay taxes on. I'd Heat for the Texas comptroller's office to get wind of this. Karen is really uptight about this sort of thing...
