I reached out to two other shops in town to try and get the CPU changed before it became a catastrophic problem. I got no response from one, and a "nah, good luck though" from another. Months later, it ceased being a "programs will crash without software intervention" issue and became a " " issue. I'd gotten phone battery replacements from them in the past, but this was something far more extreme. Still, they said they could help, and lo and behold, they did. When I learned that Intel had extended the warranty on the i9 13th generation chips to five years (because they'd effectively told motherboard manufacturers to microwave them), they were willing to let me work with the PC manufacturer to get a replacement. That took entirely too long, (thank you FedEx and UPS), but once I had the chip in hand, they had the replacement CPU installed and BIOS set up the same day I brought it in. In the end, they only wanted to charge me for the initial diagnostic since I provided the replacement part (eventually). I will absolutely be coming back.

I got estimates at 2 different places and CPR was by far the best. He had it done same day as promised. He gave my computer a mini check up as well and said everything was running efficiently. When I walked in the young lady behind the counter asked what issue I was having and which phone I had and without a second informed me they didn't have one for my phone and said my best bet would be to go to Walmart. She didn't recommend going on the tmobile site to request it, since I mentioned it was under warranty, she just didn't seem real anxious to help me with a solution. I went to a different location and they were much more helpful by suggesting contacting tmobile directly to have it replaced. I hope they do better with others and maybe she was having an off day.

This one star rating is due to this after-sale visit of 08/15/2021. As I talked with this 'new-to-me' sales rep (# ****567 - -he had no name tag - this employee info was on the invoice that I eventually received at the conclusion of our encounter), I began to realize that I would not be having a good experience with him. His lack of empathy and concern were not what I expected as we have four phones that are migrating from Sprint to T-Mobile. I was annoyed that Dave did not step in and offer assistance, as he knew me from the previous day. I paid for a replacement protector screen and left the store as a very unsatisfied customer that my situation/concern was not taken seriously with no hint of a mutually agreeable/satisfactory resolution. I called the Customer Service line, and spoke with 'Allen' who profusely apologized and said he would contact the store manager to call me.
