I switched from T-Mobile to AT & T on Sunday. The store was empty, and I was able to do my wife's phone upgrade to a -17. Later that day, I returned, and did my upgrade to -17 Pro. Two people there really cared about me and supported me all day, and Monday and Tuesday too, working out tech issues. They are Alex, and Karew. Karew is a "Genius", and I gave her that nickname. When a Promise Isn't Honored: My AT&T Trade-In Experience at This Store I upgraded my phone at the AT&T store on Edinger Ave in Huntington Beach based on a $1,000 trade-in value that was clearly quoted at the time of purchase. However, when I returned within the allowed trade-in period to turn in my old phone, I was told that the trade-in value had changed. This was disappointing, as my decision to upgrade was made specifically based on the original trade-in amount that was promised. I am now in the process of escalating this matter, regardless of how long it takes to resolve. Funny how the AT&T store is closed at 8pm yet they can walk up to my door at 8:30pm when both my kids are sleeping. Stop coming by my house. The sales guys were rude assholes too. Hit me with the "you don't want to save money" ok fine then bye while my dogs are barking and kids are sleeping. You wouldn't have saved me money anyways. ATT is becoming too corporate. Customer satisfaction is no longer important. My phone trade was misrepresented.... only half the memory promised, and employees stated they are only there for sales.... they could not teach me phone functions. Service is ALWAYS incredibly slow and painful. Ironically it seems to be due to the fact that their internet runs really slow. Also, it always seems like only one person that's working actually knows what's going on and they bounce from employee to employee helping them process transactions. I was assigned an Employee of AT&T in the Huntington Bch Store on Edinger by the name of Alex . He was so Rude and Disrespectful . It all started because I didn't know how Apple Pay from the phone worked . It escalated from there to the point where I needed someone else to help me as a replacement from the Rude Employee Alex . Other employees at this location have been fantastic and very kind and Helpful. For example an employee by the name of Joseph and Don whom is the manager. I don't usually go out of my way to Report a Complaint or Problem, but I feel compelled by how I was so Rudely treated to report this Employee for his lack of customer service skills. read more

They checked if texts worked, but could not fix my problem and recommended that I go to an Apple Store instead. So extremely disappointed after MONTHS of patience, multiple returns to the store, many phone calls and unanswered messages and follow ups, and each time their service issue on my watch remained unresolved. Incompetent management and the worst customer service. One manager gave me her business card and told me to call/text her to meet at the store at an agreed upon time, but never responded when I did so - when I went to the store for the appointment, she was away w the store manager at an "event" and I was told they would be back in an hour, so I waited a bit - I never saw her again, and have still never spoken to the store manager despite all of this trouble. They placated me constantly, telling me whatever sounded like a resolution, yet never followed through on their word. On my ~6th visit last week, I was given yet another manager's name to follow up with, Don, but he ignored me from only a few feet away, and intentionally kept his back to me while talking about my issue to another worker, shrugging his shoulders claiming to know nothing about my issue, even though I took notes and names in a prior call to ensure I followed up w the correct person. They also suffer from a lack of technical training to resolve a service issue on their end. I had to revisit the store 5+ times in 2-3 months, if not more. They do not care about customers, and don't care to distinguish the difference between customers' names, because they promised me a credit amount that was actually meant for another customer, then when they realized their mistake, refused to follow through w the mistake, and backtracked on the promise and tried to instead credit me for a much smaller amount that didn't even total half the original credit promised. I lost many months of service that I paid for as a result. Only the one young lady working there, I think her name is Angel, at least she tried to help - no one else did. I will be switching as soon as I am able as a result of this horrible experience. read more

Ordered a new phone via the app, super easy and convenient to pick it up at the store nearby...parking was great and store was clean. My issue is that when I arrived to the store, it was empty except for 4 employees, 3 of whom were watching a football game and chatting. The woman who helped me seemed confused and was not friendly. No discussion or offer to help transfer info from my old phone to my new phone. I figured it out myself, but still would have appreciated the offer and concern. Customer service was poor. Maybe store should be closed and all services should be automated if staff don't want to help/interact with customers. read more

Worst customer service ever. I waited 1 hour and accomplished nothing. Joseph and the manager were too busy talking about food and restaurants and didn't help me. I wanted to return a phone and change my service plan but they kept saying they will print me a return label but never did. They also lied to me that I couldn't get my old plan back and that my new plan would cost more than what the representative quoted me on the phone. They tried to screw me over no matter what plan I chose. Finally, I stormed out of there and called 800 numbers and was able to return the phone and change back to my old plan. Came in to upgrade my phone to the new phone and just had the worst experience and service from mostly the store manager named Angel. Very condescending and rude constantly explaining a justification for their mistakes on my account. When I became upset that they would not let me into my account prior to their mistake, he then told me I need to not be bothered or I can leave. I kindly told him I can get service elsewhere. I have been an AT&T customer since 1994 with the current account I have right now I think for about 20 years with my spouse and family. The store manager Andrea is so rude, unprofessional, and condescending. I don't know who would hire such a confrontational person as a store manager..... after sitting in the store for over an hour this morning I left with being told to "call the 611 number there is a process and we cannot do it in the store". I set up a new phone line last month being told it would only increase my bill $25 come to find out my new bill was 170$ more than it was the month prior!!!! When I confronted Alex and Andrea about this they were unhelpful and unapologetic like they didn't just lie and rob 170$ from me?! This store is either doing shady stuff or the employees are just not that bright. read more

Had an appt at 6... waited 40 mins they helped someone whose appt was at 7 before me & a grumpy customer who walked in before me as well even after telling the grumpy customer that it would be a wait and kept telling me they would be right with me. I had my kid keep telling me he was hungry so I had to leave without help. What's the point of an appt.TIP walk-in huffing and puffing with your face mask half on and they'll pay attention to you. One of the phones had an issue with settings and after a long frustrating week with over 5 hours total with all tech support, their managers and all the pros, NOT one person could solve my issue. My daughter and I came in to "only" pay off her phone installments. What really happened with Manager and associate is they somehow bumped me off of my grandfathered "added HBO" feature I had associated with my FAN account. Called AT&T customer service and they said what has been done "cannot" be reversed. So, my monthly charge (less installment of daughter's phone) is higher AND I lost my HBO.
