Terrible service. They need to train their workers on giving the right information. I wanted to order a iPhone pro with 1tb storage and they ordered the wrong phone. Telling me I have to wait until it's delivered then come back in to return it and then order the right one... they can't just cancel or the order that I placed 30 seconds ago and reorder it... also the guy who helped also rented from the same landlords as me, and proceeded to say he fu@$ing hates them and wished them ill... like why are you swearing at a customer? Totally unprofessional. Also the same guy told my wrong information about trading in her Samsung phone. That she had 14 days to trade in her phone to get the trade in value. We have a family plan. One of our phones that has been long paid off broke. We went in to keep everything the same and just pay for a phone in full to replace the broken one. I told the clerk whose name is Cordell that I wanted to pay for the phone in full, for some reason, he put me on a monthly plan to pay off the phone. He never asked me about the $10 a month extra for next and I now realize that that wouldn't have been an option if I paid in full. Then I saw that he changed my data plan to a plan that would no longer give me a discount that I was receiving. He didnt have an explanation. He said he didnt mean to mislead me. So my 196 a month bill changed to 408 a month. I called my husband to explain. I put him on the phone and when my husband asked why he did this, he gave me the phone back and refused to talk to my husband. I asked the manager for an explanation, and she gave me an excuse that was wrong as well. Its much easier to just do all the legwork online and pickup the phone. This is actually for the kiosk as the store wasn't too helpful. I actually went to both and at first I went in my lunch break then had to rescue for after work. Went in and explained it to them and the young guy kinda looked through the phone. He seemed new so I don't hold it against him. Also supervisor came around a couple of times to check on it. He troubleshooted it which didn't fix the problem then sent me home with instructions online. Couple calls to hubby for help and he tells me I have to go to Apple Store. Which there aren't any on the island lol! So. Went to kiosk which wasn't busy at all and he was really helpful. Even though he couldn't fix the problem he offered me some other options and I can upgrade my phone so that'll definitely help. read more

This review is for the store itself, not the entire company, as they DO NOT deserve 5-stars (as anyone with an "unlimited" data plan knows what I'm talking about!) I've been a customer of AT&T for years by default after they bought out Cingular Wireless. I haven't used the services in the store much, as I do everything online and take great care of my devices. My iPhone 4S's SIM card had been coming loose inside the phone whenever there was even the slightest bump to the phone. In the beginning, popping out the SIM tray and reinserting would work, but this time it wasn't. I figured the card was getting old or defective. Went to the store, the doors were opened for me - nice! They don't even do that at Louis Vuitton! Was greeted immediately as the store wasn't busy, told the friendly & professional male associate my issue and with a couple of questions, and a few taps onto an iPad, I had a brand new SIM card installed and was out of the store in 5 minutes. read more

This company and its customer service sucks. Paid my uncles bill and had a question about it. Female related i needed to check in even if i wanted to ask a question. Looked at the screen and i was #7 in line. Waited over an hour before i was serviced and only to ask my simple question which took less then 5 minutes to answer. Will wait till my uncle's service contract is up and switch him over with us at Verizon... At least we get better, quicker, more customer oriented service. Service was quick but awful customer service. The rep activated the WRONG line and did not even catch his mistake. He left us to go sit around with other employees while we cleaned up the wrappers and set up the phone on our own. That's when we noticed the wrong line was activated. So now we're on vacation and a family members phone is deactivated. Luckily they're here with us so we are taking the new sim card, but what if they weren't here and had to go out of their way at home to go to a AT&T store to fix his mistake?? Went in to buy a new Go Phone. Kind of knew what I wanted so when I walked through the door and the guy asked me for help I said, "Nope. Just looking." After about 10 minutes I found the phone I wanted but the internet browser didn't work. I asked the only guy available and he said the store internet was down but the data would work. After another 5 mins of screwing with it I called the guy over and he discovered the sim card was bad. No big deal, I like the phone so I'll go ahead and get one. Just then his manager comes over and pulls him aside and quietly scolds him for not staying by the door, and then they both walk away. Uhm, okay. After a second of confusion I walk over and tell manager lady that guy was helping me. She points to the screen on the wall and asks if I was next. What? Please know that I'm not 100% sure she was the manager. However, she was 1 of only 2 gray shirts out of like 8 blue shirts. If shirt color is an indicator of status she was part of the elite 20%! Apparently you have to put your name on the list and wait to get help no matter what you want. I put my name on the list and then see I'm #8. Lame. I walk over to the lady and say, "Excuse me. I just wanted buy that phone over there, put my sim card in it, and be on my way." "Do you have an account with us?" she asks. "Yes. I just want to get that phone, give you my money, and leave. Can't someone just ring me up.?" "Well you have to wait in line." "Can you ring me up?" "No, you have to wait for a customer service rep." "Okay, well I'll just go order a new phone online." Her response, "Sorry we couldn't help you." I proceeded to leave, sad that the store didn't want my money because I wouldn't wait in their virtual line. Later that evening I bought an HTC Desire on Amazon where it was $20 less, and then another $30 off with my points from my Amazon credit card. Can a phone store really rate five stars? This one did. While visiting Maui, my Blackberry refused to hold its breathe for a very brief trip underwater. All the king's horses and all the king's men couldn't put Humptyberry back together again. So I needed a new phone and fast. Although they did not open at 9:00 am as shown on AT&T's website, once I did get in they made quick work of me. Blackberry is dead, here are your options, all expensive and requiring a major on-the-spot decision. OR go to Walmart, get a $30 phone, transfer your SIM card, and take care of everything when back home. It solved my problem perfectly. Since that store didn't get a sale, I won't mention the name of the person who gave me the great advice. But it is nice to see someone working in a phone store take care of MY interests. read more

Great Staff Great Service. The two staff I have met have been very easy to deal with they were both straight up with me. Did not sell me things I could not use or did not need. The first guy was able to make my older Canadian Smart phone work on the ATT system no charge. As a pay as go customer I got the say service as families at the counter that bought 5 line packages. I went and upgraded my iPhone. Waaaaaay overdue because of my cheap @$$. I held on to my old phone for 4 years because I'm so cheap and with each new iPhone coming out, my phone started malfunctioning more and more. I came into the store and Sonny helped me. Love him!!! We recently went to the AT&T sire (yes, we were in fact one of those "crazy" people that showed up at 5:00am to stand in line for the iPhone 6), we were there a very long time due to downloading everything into the new phones and the new iPad Air however I must say that Sean C. was a wonderful help to us. He treated us with respect and he was extremely knowledgable. We have friends who just switched to another provider because of AT&T's customer service, if they would have had the help of a representative such as Sean that would have never happened. It was a very good experience and we highly recommend him. On the down side, I'm sure everyone has a bad day but Karen was not a good representative of AT&T at all. I won't go into details but I really hope that she could just be a bit more informed and kinder to customers. read more

I've been a long time AT&T customer. I always felt a loyalty to them because Apple seemed to prefer them- and I worked closely with Apple. I always liked the customer service in the store. You can make a reservation and you are greeted at the door. (Please--if you do sign up or make changes to your account please make sure you leave with documentation that includes the associate name, the date, and discloses all costs/changes to your account, including if you DID NOT sign up for insurance.) I went in recently because my service had become horrible. While there I noticed 2 different insurance charges that had been added to my Apple Watch. I had been getting charged an extra $35/month. They aren't empowered to help with issues in store, you have to call customer service. To sum it up- over an hour on the phone, passed off several times to multiple departments with the final department being closed for the day!!! Can you believe that they did that to me when I was calling bc I'm unhappy??!! I was shocked to have my time disrespected like that. I believe staff gets dinged for refunds and cancellations so they play hot potato with the call stating that you need to speak with a different department. They even passed me back to the dept I was passed from. It would be laughable if it didn't waste so much time and accomplish nothing besides pissing me off more.Sigh. So when I call again they looked up my records- I had been getting charged that extra $35 SINCE JANUARY OF LAST YEAR since I went in the store to set up my Apple watch. The business pays $350/month and we have never complained about anything, so I was stupidly thinking they would value me as a customer and take good care of me. Remember- I'm already having service issues so as a loyalty department associate you would take a look at all of this as a whole and issue a refund, right? I mean - why would I want to pay 2 types of insurance totaling $35/month for a $500 watch when I have iPhones that cost $1350 with no insurance?! And they know employees are notorious for doing this bc customers sure do (google it). Instead she asks arbitrary bordering on insulting questions such as: Do you hike with the watch? Do you wear it out? Do you wear it jogging? WTF!! Pardon my language but it doesn't matter how I use the watch! She then points out that I should've noticed. Yes, I shouldn't have trusted you guys. I understand that most people would notice any increase on their bill. Unfortunately, our business has a high volume of bills for which our accountant writes up the checks unless there's a huge change. Who cares!!!! Bottom line: I am an outstanding customer, your employee obviously tacked on insurance. Finally she agrees to refund 2 months. WE NEVER GOT THE REFUND CREDITED TO OUR ACCOUNT! Geezus. Regarding the service issues I called them about: My house in Wailuku has never gotten even a bar of service and the $200 micro tower ATT told me to buy a few years ago is no longer supported. WiFi calling stopped working months ago on all phones. No phone at my house!! Plus internet was sooooo slow. Hotspot was a joke. Sigh. AT&T- you need to change something because customers shouldn't be able to tell that employees are making commissions on insurance, or that phone support will be dinged for refunds and cancellations. Make a mandatory document that customers leave with that shows exactly what the customer signed up for and can expect to pay- that protects the consumer and the corporation. Each employee should have an employee number which would be included on the disclosure paper. All of the phone support departments I spoke with need training in customer service, and you can't ding them for giving a refund, or whatever mechanism causes them to hot potato a phone call. All of them should have an employee number and give the customer that number at the beginning of the call. Lastly, I heard that you are putting up more towers in Hawaii. Well, FYI, service is worse than ever here in Maui. I'm really disappointed to have been so loyal to your company and recommended you so avidly (I used to sell Apple products that had cellular for 12+yrs) when in the end the very first issue I have is handled so poorly with so little regard for my track record as a customer. Tl;dr- I have given AT&T more chances than they deserved. I switched to Verizon yesterday and had a great experience (see my Verizon review). I get reception in my house with clear calls. Customer service has been great. Strongly recommend switching to Verizon. read more

My phone was on it's last leg so I finally gave in and went to AT&T to purchase a new one. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and I only waited a few minutes for an associate to help me. Bob had the best customer service I've received anywhere in a very long time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. My husband had purchased the same phone about 4 weeks prior back on the mainland and the experience was so different and he was left with so many questions. Bob took the time to check out my husband's plan and answer all of his questions. I left feeling confident and comfortable in my choice because Bob explained absolutely everything. AT&T does not care about you!!!!!! They are a money grubbing monster corporation that gets you to sign up and then makes it impossible for you to leave without you being completely abused on the way out the door!!!!! I had an account with them for years because they handled the iPhone. I got such spotty service on Maui that it was disheartening.... I had an insurance policy on the iPhone and when it broke I sent it in, well in the month that followed they sent me 4 replacements that were faulty. I didn't feel that I should have to pay for my service when they kept on sending me broken phones!!!! I still owed on the lease of the broken phone so they just kept charging me!!!! Great service when you go in to the store. There's always someone opening the door for you, asking you if you need any help and if you do need help they'll add you to a list when they're busy, which you can see on a TV screen. However, if you want to call this company or this specific store for help or questions they will NOT answer they don't answer calls. I live on the opposite side of town and I do not wish to do an 1+ drive just to ask one simple question. So I brushed it off my shoulders until I make my way on that side of the island. Getting a new phone has always been the absolute worst experience for me. You know how it goes.... You take a number, you wait two hours, and by the time you're finally finished, you leave frustrated and overwhelmed. You thought this time would be different, but it never is, and you end up at the food court stuffing yourself with junk food, trying to reclaim the 2 hours of your life you just lost. This is exactly what I was expecting when I went in for my new iPhone, but as soon as I entered the store, I met Bob. Bob was knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely helpful. I have purchased a brand new iPhone at this store. When the phone broke, I was told that this AT&T store does not provide any support with warranty issues. Those have to go directly through Apple. So, what is the benefit of purchasing the phone in the store if they don't help you with any warranty issues? Also, I learned the news after waiting for an hour when the person checking me in could have told me about their policy right then. Not a good service. This store fraudulently charged me for an ipad and then lied to insist I had authorized them to do so. When I kindly explained to them what had actually happened they refused to have a proper conversation. My account was then charged continuously after they acknowledged their wrongdoing. You can always open up a third line for you already too because there's nothing we can do for you on your other two lines but you can always open up a third... from every sales men.. wasted five hours of my day dealing with AT&T loyal department to the point where they told me to going to the store and They we'll see the notes and take care of u.. bunch of bull face lies. Which two of the four offered me full upgrade on my second online.. then I said ok call me back tomorrow I'll pay my bill .. no call back . These people are EXCELLENT! Arrived in Maui and promptly went to see them to purchase a data plan while in Hawaii. Rhodel took care of me right away, added a cell card to iPad and sent me to get a prepaid Visa card (cannot use my visa registered in Canada) and told me how to activate the card in my iPad. I had been up since 1:30AM to travel to airport to then fly 7.5 hours, my brain wasn't all that sharp so all I had to do was go back and he activated it for me while my husband talked to them about some places to go eat in the area. WORSTE EXPERIENCE EVER! The lady working with the clear braces is the WORSTE customer service rep I've ever encountered. I walk in and want to buy a AT&T go phone. I know the exact one I want. I ask the lady with the clear braces and she tells me very rudely that I have to sign up to speak to a representative. When I sign up the guy tells me that it will be an hour and a half wait!!! I then go back up to the counter where two reps were standing and ask just to male perfectly clear that I do in fact have to wait an hour and a half to wait to buy a phone? She barks at me that everyone in the store is waiting to buy a phone! That's funny because I thought that the people who were at the tables talking to reps were talking about plans and what not. The bottom line is that lady with the braces was awful at her job. She was rude and had a horrible attitude.
