i was just at the at&t store in la canada. they have you sign in and wait to be helped well, ok. but whenever i've been there in the past (8-10 times), there've been just a handful of people there, as was the case today (a thursday at 11 a.m., not exactly rush hour). once i signed in, i was told that i needed to wait outside because of the current limitations on how many people can be inside the store at once. the employee there said that the limit was 20 (as the signs on the door say, in fairness). well, as i turned around to walk out, i counted 7 other people in the store (plus 2-3 employees). not even close to 20. maybe the employees there count by 3s. then i go and wait outside the store in the hallway outside without my mask, and an employee tells me that if i am going to wait there, i have to have a mask on. i asked him if this (where i was, this hallway) was "outside" or if i physically had to wait outside the entire building. he said i had to wait outside the building. so i go out there. while waiting, while i was waiting, two people went in and one came out, so the store was still well below the arbitrary 20 number unless there was a huge surge of people in a side door, which i doubt, as noone came outside besides me to wait. also, there are no tables out there. no chairs. you just stand and wait. i got fed up and left after about 20 minutes. there's an at&t store nearer to where i live (this one is just up the street from where i work), and i'll go there over the weekend to do my business (which is just returning a charger), and i'm 95% sure it'll take 2 minutes. ridiculous. read more

I went to the La Canada location, because every AT&T store around here has terrible waits and doesnt have parking. I was wonderfully surprised with the level of expertise and customer service at that store. The girl helping me was so knowledgable and friendly, and everyone who was there was helpful and made the whole experience amazing! i love my new iphone, and those verizon commercials are totally lying about the service! go to la canada, you will be as satisfied as i am, i promise! read more

If I could give 0 star i would! ATT service is average and spotty! I did business with them about 15 years ago. They have the by far worst customer service in the business. To get an issue resolved it absolutely painful, that is if they can which usually they can't. On top of that the promise prices that they never deliver. For example my ATT home phone that was 911 and local calls only with nothing else they said would be 5 dollars a month, and it turned out to be 39 a month with nothing. ATT tricks you in every way. I had such bad bad service that I disconnected early on their cell phone over 16 years ago. But at the 9 year and 11 month they sent me an offer to settle for 77 and consider the matter closed. I was stupid enough to try to settle. I didn't know that once you pay it they can trash your credit for another 10 years and charge all sorts of fees. They are liars and cheats, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!! They say I owe now 1144 dollars now. But their service sucked either cell or land line you choose. Read the reviews! And I would get the inevitable update that they are sorry...bla blah blah all talk and lies too. They don't care in the least! Take it from 25 plus years experience with them. I recommend Tmobile for cell ...not the best coverage either but great customer service! And I also recommend get cable internet and use voice over IP and fire them. That is what I did and I will never do business with anything they have something to do with. They don't empower their people to do anything but charge you all sorts of fees, and they tell you what they can't do instead of what they can do for you. Bought "his and her's" iPhones in this store and, being allergic to technology, took mine in after parking the car in the rear lot to get the Bluetooth synced up. An employee cheerfully took a few minutes to do it and even though I watched what he did I could not get the GF's to work so I took the car and her phone in tonight. Even though the available employee, Neil, wasn't doing anything and there were no customers waiting, I knew it was going to be a problem as I had a problem with him once before when he very reluctantly condescended to help me as he rudely said he had to do the mail while continuing to open it while not even looking at me. This time I explained to him what I would like him to do, telling him the car was parked right outside the bck door, and he actually asked if it was something I could bring into the store. I resisted the urge to to say something like, "It's a car, you moron. How am I going to bring it inside the store?", instead just leaving it at, "It's a car." He said, "I can't leave the floor." (If he was honest he would have said, "I'm too lazy to leave the floor."). That is the last time he is going to dog me like that because, even though the GF lives just a few blocks away, I am never going into that store again. I had the service representative Wyn Free, he was super cool in store and had me convinced I made the right choice adding a line. Unfortunately he lied through his teeth about how much it was going to cost. Corporate would not honor his rate and now I owe AT&T $900+ to get out of a phone bill that is more expensive than I signed up for. That's not to mention AT&T has the worst service in California I've ever dealt with. Went to purchase a USB Connect and the guy sold me a personal hot spot for my iPhone instead. That was great, except that he failed to mention that I would be giving up my unlimited data plan. The sales person Kenny told me, |"We can't do that in the store, you need to go online using a computer. The employees change your service so they can get paid for there time because they don't like doing service work I went in just to get a new SIM card and all of a sudden I am getting texts that I am over my data limit when I have an unlimited plan I was worried I checked my account on line and it said it was changed in the store . I called att direct spent 40 minutes changeling it back to what I had and filed a complaint and called the store to talk with a manager who acted like he didn't care what happen . I feel that this was a waste of my time and it was done on purpose to line the employees pocket it's not enough that they already get $300.00 plus per month from me but he wanted me to pay more for no reason then his own. Went in to change from Verizon and was guaranteed that my new service would be awesome at my home, they "checked" my zip code. Was told in the event it wasn't "don't worry," AT&T will set me up with a booster, no problem. 1. The ports that were done didn't work because of a bad code. 2. Got them working on my own only to find out I had 1 bar of service at our house. 3. AT&T no longer provides boosters even if your call is dropped 4 times while their own technical expert is trying to call you to tell you it's you not the signal and you just need to turn your volume up. 4. Do not believe that they will provide you with a booster!!! It is no longer something they do even in confirmed low signal areas. They do not do it - period. This little corporate secret hasn't made it's way to the sales people yet, so they still are using it as a sales pitch. read more

Just a warning, AT&T is the absolute worst cell provider. They have terrible customer service -- actually, the words, "customer service", are a joke when referring to AT&T -- don't bother calling them, they are incapable of understanding their own systems. No matter where we go, cell calls/text messages are missed or dropped. It seems no where in the Los Angeles area provides full cell service. Unfortunately, both my iPhone & Apple Watch are connected through AT&T. Believe it or not, daily, they send me text messages to "remind me" that my phone & watch are synced -- why? There is no way to turn it off. Their customer service department had no idea how to handle it. The supervisor had an even lower IQ than the first rep I spoke to -- it was a complete waste of time to waiting on hold. I have nothing positive to say about AT&T. I highly recommend going to another provider for cell service. read more

All they told me was the site was down so I needed to call an automated number and so now after the 20 minutes I got out nothing at the store and now am on hold. Going in store is useless. Horrible service. Came in with my uncle trying to upgrade his phone.. Some guy started to help us went over my uncle's account with us. Then suggested a few phones we should look at. As we were looking at the phones the guy just left... We stood around for 5-10 minutes thinking he went to the back or something... We talked to another associate and they said we need to go back on the waiting list and that the guy who was helping us went to lunch. Mind you when we walked into the store there wasn't even a fly in there... When they put us back on the list it was much more busy and we were 3rd on the list. We ended up waiting another 30-40 minutes. Something that should have been fast and easy took almost 2 hours. I'm guessing Tanvir is the manager of the location he helped us out as much as he could. But At the end of our transaction he came through and gave us a $25 credit to my uncle's bill. read more

Clerk told me about their buy one, get one free promotion for just adding one additional line to the account. He mistakenly gave me a two year old model 6+ (no S). Come to find out that not only did I not get what I was promised, but that he gave me a phone that was not on the "get one free" plan. Now I am on the hook for monthly payments totaling $749.00. Contacted corporate who claim that they can't control what happens in their retail stores. They are submitting a form on my behalf to see if corporate will make an exception and take the cost of the phone off of my bill. If they say no then I have no recourse. The best I can hope for is to be forgiven of the debt on a two year old phone that was supposed to be free. Would love for the store manager or an ATT representative take some ownership of their clerks mistake. read more

I do not recommend this store because the store staff is not knowledgeable if you have a problem with your service and the store manager is not helpful if you have a problem with your service. Specifically, we were trying to get our new wireless service to work. It should have worked, given our placement on AT&T's map. My wife tried to get help from one of the store employees. He seemed friendly but none of his ideas worked. We called AT&T and they said that we should go to the store and try again. We talked directly with the manager. He was unfriendly and unhelpful. The formerly friendly subordinate disappeared even though we asked to talk with him. We won't go back to this store. read more

I didn't think a good experience at a cell phone store existed. Very happy to be proven wrong. Came in to switch carriers. Was expecting to have it be a huge hassle, and had braced myself to be frustrated. Thankfully we were matched with the amazing Harut. He greeted us coming in and within moments we were seated and being helped. He patiently explained both our options and the process. Once we decided on the phone and plan, he got everything done quickly and efficiently. Would highly recommend both this location and Harut personally. read more

Lucio is great!! I wasn't sure whether or not to buy a 16 or 32GB iPhone. He thoroughly explained the difference and took the time also to explain the data plans. The other salesmen there are borderline retarded. Seriously-- the others there are REALLY dumb. Head's up-- there's no bathroom and no sign in sheet, so if it's busy you could stand there for an hour before even getting added to the list! I had been having trouble for months with my phone. I couldn't receive texts from my boyfriend. When I was there and had to get help from someone else, it was a sad state of affairs. I asked for Lucio, but he wasn't there. They tried for an hour and a half to get me going without success. Lucio figured it out-- problem solved in less than 5 minutes!! He's the ONLY saving grace that store has. read more

Bought and activated an iPhone here and arriving home, opened the box to see a bright gray screen with black horizontal bars scrolling down on it. This appeared on and off when using the phone. Returned to the store next day and they "reset it" and said it looked normal. Then it did it again and nothing would stop the problem, so I video taped it and took the phone and video camera back to the store, showed them the tape and they said the phone was defective. I asked for a new phone and was told that per AT&T and Apple policy, once you leave the store any warranty work must be done through an Apple store. In other words, a defective out of the box iPhone bought at AT&T has to be adjusted by Apple at their stores. I protested, saying it was defective out of the box and was told, "oh, no, it was working when you left so it is warranty work." After much protesting, I was offered an exchange upgrade to a more expensive iPhone, which I took, since my time is valuable, too. This is no way to treat customers. By way, the sales representative was very understanding and helpful, but the manager was not, claiming he was bound by AT&T and Apple policy, and even after seeing my video tape said the phone appeared to be working normally to him at the time I returned to the store. I hope they don't sell the phone I returned to someone else. read more

The service was horrible, Brenda was nothing but pushy and rude. She continuously tried to make unnecessary small talk like there was certain topics she had to hit. The conversation went something along the lines of the weather, change your unlimited data, the holidays, change your unlimited data, ..... you get the point. Brenda's inability to be genuine in anything she tried to push was nothing but annoying. The final straw was after I had purchased an iPhone case to go back to an iPhone S, I noticed after the transaction that the case was not compatible with all the features of the iPhone. I asked if this would be a problem with the fingerprint touch feature of the phone, she said it would. I then let her know that I would like to return it as it was not what I was looking for. She tried to save her sale and let me know I could try it out and return it with in the 14 days. The case was not what I wanted so why would I want to try it out? I declined and asked for it to just be returned. She did not want to refund me in the original tender that I had literally just used. I paid in cash five minutes before so why would I want to put it back on my credit card? She then preceded to walk away annoyed at the fact that she had to walk to get my refund. I would avoid interacting with her at all costs!!! Brenda is the complete opposite of good customer service and the reason I will not be going back to this location! I wish that sales associates would put their customers first and not their own financial motivations!!! read more

If you are interested in purchasing U-verse then do it online. As their TV adds state" the deals are better online". I lost about $100 by ordering directly from the store. At the time I ordered the deal online was $350 for new customers. I asked if they could match it, the store rep and a Manager told me they could give me $300 in rebates and an additional service credit which totaled $80.00. I was also told the advantage to getting it at the store was I could come into them if there was a problem. I was fed up with Charter so if I ordered at the store. I got my first bill and questioned why the service credit that I was told I would get was not there ? After numerous e-mails and a visit to the store I was told, they couldn't do it unless I chose paperless bill pay or got an extra DVR box . Now lets discuss those AT&T rebate cards. AT&T mailed me three cards totaling $250. The third card for $50 was supposed to be issued by the store when I questioned the rep at the store about it I was told I already got it. Basically it's a rip off if you order from the store, they don't honor what they tell you and you don't need the store since everything is set up online anyway. There is no advantage to ordering directly from the AT&T store but there is a disadvantage. read more

First time I've felt compelled to write a review. This store is not friendly. I went in to buy an S6 Active. First, they asked me to sign in. I said, "No, thanks. I'm going to look around first." After playing with the phone for awhile, I told them I had a question - they send Robert over to me. "Will the S6 Active wirelessly charge on my Nokia wireless charger?" I got a blank stare from Robert and I repeated my question explaining that I have a Nokia charger already. He says, "No, this one is made for Samsung". Well, obviously the Samsung wireless charger works with the Samsung phone. Restated the question again, he tells me no but he'll ask the 18 year old at the desk, who echoes the no answer. I ask why since the technology is the same and you can buy other wireless chargers online to work with Samsung phones. But whatever. Robert leaves and after another 10 minutes, I decide I'll buy the phone. I try to sign in and the guy at the desk says that it needs to be Robert helping me since he "helped" me before. Fine, but he's not in the store right now so I need to wait for him to come back into the store which wasn't too long, maybe 5 minutes. I tell him I want the white S6 Active. He looks at my grandfathered plan and says I should upgrade to a mobile share plan - I expect this because he's a salesman. I politely decline and say I've looked at all the plans and want my old plan. He says that he can't sell me the phone in that case. He suggests I buy it online. Annoyed, I go home and order online. There's an option to pick up at the La Canada store - 4 hours later I get a text that the store cancelled my order because the phone is out of stock. Great. The next day I go to the Glendale AT&T store and they don't have the phone in stock. The salesman looks and says that the only store that has a supply of the white phone in the area is in La Canada! I told him I wasn't going back there. He told me to come back in a few days when they get their shipment. I return and purchase the phone on my old grandfathered plan and left the store in less than 10 minutes. I go home and stick it on my Nokia charger and guess what? It charges just fine. read more

I have never encountered a staff so incredibly rude in my career dealing with people and customers. Bought my first phone from this establishment a month ago and the girl who helped me, not only entered my email incorrectly, but also sold me a charger kit that was not the right model for my phone. When I went in to speak to a manager, I was told 14 day policy on returns no exceptions. Didn't seemed like he could care less, because he was not making a sale. I explained to him, that the salesperson(Who I will not name that was in the store while I was talking to him) sold me the wrong item and also made me come back to re-enter my email address because of her mistake. I told him, I only wanted to exchange it for the correct charger. One more time, no exceptions, even when they make the mistakes. I then told him I would call corporate, and his response was "Go ahead, they will not help you either". I have dealt with customers for thirty years and have never treated anyone like I was treated. Guess what, I called corporate and they not only refunded me the item, they gave me a break on my service, because they agreed that I received poor customer service from the La Canada/Flintridge store. Look at the prior reviews, which I did not, before walking into this store, or you will be treated very poorly. Whoever is in charge of this store knows nothing about customer service and I cannot wait for the day they close this place down. The only positive note were the corporate offices who acknowledged this store has been a problem in the customer service area many times. My company is switching service from Sprint to AT&T. This is a corporate account and there's no relationship to the AT&T La Canada store. My transition was supposed to take place over a Friday afternoon, but come Saturday the "Port In" element never took place and I was faced with the prospect of losing cell service. I went into the La Canada AT&T store to see if they could assist. All the staff was very courteous and even though they had no connection/commission to this issue, they were there to help. Noel took the lead and called AT&T corporate for assistance. They indicated without the firm's password, there was nothing they could/would do. Of course this is something I don't have. I figured it was a dead end and thanked them. Noel asked me to "hold-on" while he tried again to see if he could get a different answer from a different person in corporate. He called again, turned on the charm and within 5 minutes all the issues were resolved. Professional, courteous and PERSISTENT. Since this store had no "dog in the fight" would've simple to blow me off, or after the first rejection to say sorry. Exceptional customer service. Thanks Noel! read more

I arrived at the store Thursday night at 8:57pm just before closing to find they locked the door. I saw a sales person who I believed was named Percy or Pricilla who motioned at me through the door because I held up my phone to show her it was not yet 9:00. She had something in her hand and it appeared she would return once she finished carrying it. I waited maybe 7 minutes before walking around to the front door where I spotted her talking to a co-worker. I waved at her to come to the front door where I asked her why she had closed early. She said she was alone but I could see a male co-worker was with her. She told me that the front door was closed some 5 minutes after 9:00 but neglected to tell me that the front door would be open after 9:00 PM while I was standing at the other locked door at 8:57 PM. All the time she is talking we are speaking through the glass. It was apparent that whatever customer service she received was inadequate. Her disinterest in helping customers was evident. Her difficulty conveying the truth about what had just occurred was appalling. Her cavalier attitude and inconsistencies with the truth regarding our brief exchange seemed quite natural as she returned to counter to chat with her co-worker. Apparently, the La Canada AT & T believes along with their employees that customer service doesn't matter. Their mobile phones are smart but "YOU" the customer are not! They believe "YOU" The customer will continue to shop at the La Canada AT &T no matter what they say regardless of the truth. read more
