Matthew and Gil were not very well versed in customer service. There was some unclear communication and Matthew told me I probably misunderstood the deal because his coworker who originally worked with me had "a heavy Mexican accent". Weird to put blame on me and pull the race card. And when I told Gil he failed to mention a promo to me he said he had "pretty distraction in front of [him]" referring to me. Manny is probably the only person I would go to here. He kind of solved my issue and he explains things with patience. I'm hoping to not return and find a different location for service. Husband was scammed by employee at this location. When purchasing a new phone they added an extra line (so 2different numbers to same phone) unknown to him. They get commission and bonuses when they add new lines of service to a customers account so that explains why they would do it. Then they hope you miss it on the bill because you are enrolled in auto pay. read more

I had a pretty poor experience at this store. I simply wanted to turn my old Verizon phones and they told me I couldn't do that at a franchise store and that I have to go the corporate AT&T store in Glendale. I ended up going to the Pasadena store which is a franchise store and they took care of me with no problem. At the Pasadena store, they said I could turn in phones at any store. Then I tried calling the La Canada store to let them know of their error, but it was five minutes before closing time, and they wouldn't answer their phone. read more

I transferred from Verizon to AT&T and I've been regretting this decision ever since. The sales person who helped (or in the end could not help me) was Gil. I went to the AT&T La Canada store to take advantage of their iPhone 17 upgrade promo for my family and a total of 4 lines. We ended up calling AT&T support because the new phones would not activate with our numbers that had been ported over from Verizon. Support was unable to help me and when I called Gil, I was told the support technician who tried to help me over the phone actually cancelled our new account and the only way to resolve the issue was for the store to create a brand new account and order four completely new phones for us. I asked how could this be and was told this happens frequently at AT&T where unscrupulous support people would cancel brand new accounts setup by the store in order to steal their commission. I felt bad for Gil and didn't want him to lose out so I agreed to purchase 4 additional phones as they had suggested and return the old ones where I was already charged a sales tax on roughly $4,000.00 worth of equipment. I was asked to call support again to get a UPS label sent to me so I could ship the phones myself and after receiving the phones AT&T would credit back the taxes I paid. I waited a week and called support to confirm they had received the phones, which they did. I kept waiting for the credit to appear on my credit card and called support multiple times. This experience was very exhausting because I would explain the situation to a support person and after 30 minutes of being put on hold multiple times they would tell me that they would investigate and call me back, but they never do, and on more than several occasions I got disconnected where it almost felt like it was intentional. I was never rude or mad at anyone but not once did I ever receive a call back from any AT&T customer service rep who assured me they would investigate the issue I was having. After a while, I realized this happens because AT&T's support reps are also trained to sell you products and services which is a conflict. When the support person realizes you have a complicated case that will take up a lot of their time, they have no incentive to continue helping and would rather move to the next customer in queue where they can try to sell additional services. To add salt to injury, AT&T ended up billing me a $50 restocking fee for the phones that were returned and ended up having a bill of $174.00 just in restocking fees alone. When I called Gil to ask for his help on this, I was told the restocking fee is to be expected and is actually written on the fine print on AT&T's website. Gil led me to believe that everything was going to be easy peasy returning the first batch of phones from AT&T, did not tell me I was going to get charged a $50 restocking fee for each phone, did not help try to recover the taxes I paid, and in the end made me feel like it was my fault for not reading the fine print on the AT&T website. He got his commission at this point and helping me was no longer a priority. With everything that had transpired, I realized the trade in phones from Verizon were still in my house and 30 days had past since our AT&T phones were activated. Gil never called to remind me they still needed the phones to complete our contract with all the expected rebates we agreed upon. While I was having the issues with customer service, I kept checking with Gil and the various customer reps about the device credits. Everyone kept telling me it takes two to three billing cycles (90 days) for the device credits to appear. It would have been helpful if Gil reminded me they still needed the phones to secure the rebates, instead of telling me to wait several billing cycles for the device credits to kick in and in the end missing the 30 day deadline for them to submit the application for the rebates. I left Verizon because our bill was getting too much, and our bill with AT&T today is more than what we were paying Verizon. We also noticed frequent dropped calls and dead spots we never experienced before. It's been very a very irritating and frustrating transition for us. Paying more and getting less with AT&T. If you're thinking about going to the AT&T La Canada store and switching your service to this company, please do your research. AT&T is a huge conglomerate and if you should ever need support, be ready for lengthy calls, offshore teams, and explaining the same issue over and over, and maybe you'll get lucky. As for me, I ended up opening a dispute with the AT&T legal department, and my nightmare continues (as of 3/27/26). read more

Today, we stopped by to look at upgrading my iPhone. Kevin was polite and let us know that he would help us as soon as he completed a transaction with another customer. He did exactly that and helped me select a new iPhone. While he was processing my transaction, he took the time to help my wife with a new protective cover for her phone. He even helped her order it on Amazon and will assist her tomorrow in installing it. My new iPhone is great and our satisfaction with Kevin is through the roof. read more

Very poor, inconsistent service at this location. I went in to turn in my phone since I bought a new one last month. 3 people being helped when I walked in. I have no problem waiting. 2 other people came in after me. None of us were acknowledged in any way. After waiting for about 15 minutes w/o a word from any employee, another person walks in. The manager greeted them from across the store with a "Hi", "We'll be with you soon", "Thanks for coming in"....... Myself and the others waiting got nothing. Very disappointing. I left the store immediately. I'll find another way to return my phone. This location needs to do better. read more

What a bunch of snakes! The sales guys here took advantage of my mom and signed her up for an internet plan without her consent. Probably incentivized by sales bonuses. We know it was them because they kept pushing this internet package while she was in the store for a completely unrelated topic. We happened to find this package added onto her account by chance and now its going to take 90 days to remove it. What a shady company to just fraudulently sign people up for things they never needed/wanted. Do yourself a favor and NEVER go into these stores. read more

Absolutely the worst experience in purchasing ANYTHING I have ever had!! On January 27th I upgraded my I11 phone.....GIL, who was supposed to be their star employee convinced me to add another line to my new I16 phone I was upgrading to because it was absolutely FREE!! He also left for lunch while my new phone was updating and was never seen again!! Two days later I got a text from AT&T telling me that my new bill would increase by 91.00 due to the addition of the second line!!! I immediately called AT&T and their agent Joseph said to return the phone immediately except that by doing that I would be charged a 55.00 restock fee, so he sent me a label to return it directly to AT&T, which I did! Because of GIL'S irresponsibility, and bold faces lie, I am STILL fighting with AT&T to have the line removed on a new phone I DONT EVEN HAVE and to be reimbursed for the sales tax!! It is now February 19th!! No one has even apologized for all the stress this has caused me (5 phone calls to AT&T with no resolution yet!) read more

This has to be the worst AT&T store ever. A few weeks ago, we went to trade in a phone and was told we'd get a $700 credit for trading in a 256gb iPhone 12 Pro. Well, we get the trade in letter for an amount of $165. Get on the phone with AT&T for two hours, only to realize that they listed it as a 128gb phone. Now I have to wait 2-3 billing cycles for their error, meanwhile I'm paying an extra $22 a month for their carelessness. Fast forward to today, I get an email thanking me for enrolling in the AT&T Protect Advantage program for $17 a month. Well guess what? I never signed up for this. So I call AT&T and they told me it was added at this store when we added the line. I got it cancelled but are they getting commission or something?? I should've stopped coming when a few years ago, they hoodwinked my wife into a plan that came with a free iPad which came with all these hidden charges. DO NOT GO HERE! Both Kevin and Gil provided no valid information on a brand new phone replacement except to go to the apple store or to another att store. Kevin didn't understand the process and just looked to get us to go somewhere else. Gil got frustrated and refused to help us after he had just frustrated the customer before us. I purchased an iPhone 13 at a different location less than 5 months ago and noticed it did not turn on after charging it overnight. I stopped in to have my phone checked out in hopes they can either figure out what was wrong or replace it since the phone was still under warranty and insured. Thank goodness I was the first one there and Joe was at the counter to greet me. He checked out my phone and attempted to troubleshoot it. I really did not want to hassle with a new or replacement phone and Joe understood completely. He did his very best to accommodate my request; low and behold HE MADE IT WORK! The darn phone turned on and he made it work! I was and still am so grateful for his perseverance in getting the phone to turn on because he had trust in the product; he was not ready to give up. Recently my wife went to this AT&T store because her phone was not working properly. The Problem was fixed by changing the SIM card. This was done with no charge. However upon clicking on "Sign in for details" an unauthorized service was added. The online statement indicated that my daughter had requested "Home Tech Protection" at $25.00/ month. No such request was made. This is not the first time that unauthorized features were added to my account. I like to support my local merchants, but this is the last time that I visit this dishonest location. read more

DO NOT shop here. I was fooled by a "good" employee. I didn't check reviews before going in and got 2 new liines and upgraded a new phone. Then my bill came and all of my lines were upgraded without my concent, insurance was added and a lot more. Long story short , I was up charged without my approval. When calling AT&T customer service for a basic issue the rep upsold me to add a family member to our plan - making it sound like a very easy process. When attempting to port the number I encountered AT&T staff who are not properly trained - resulting in 7.5 hours of customer service calls to bring on the additional family member who lost cell service with the previous carrier through the process. I finally gave up and went back to the previous carrier: When sharing my concern with an AT&T supervisor they offered a mere $30 credit for the inconvenience. read more

I used to praise this store for their helpful staff but they really disappointed me. Be careful: they will lie to you and add unwanted features to your phone plan. I recently added a line to my family plan and explicitly told them to give us only the STARTER plan with NO add ons or insurance. The person helping me verbally confirmed that back to me twice. Fast forward to my first bill. I was signed up for the PREMIUM plan (adding $20) and the NEXTUP feature (another $6). I had to waste more of my time calling AT&T to have all that cancelled and get reimbursed. It's so sad because I've bought 3 phones from them and this last guy scammed me. read more

Gil and Joe (store manager) are both shady and unethical. They removed my husbands UCLA student discount to add a teacher discount, I told them specifically he is not a teacher and does not work there. They said it was fine because that was the new student discount anyway and we will be saving more money. Of course they lied and now we have no discount. I have gone multiple times to their store to get the old student discount back and they assure me it's done and it's not. I called customer service and they don't see a discount on our account and unfortunately we can't get it back. I'm very upset about it and I will be writing a letter to corporate. Dishonest and unhelpful staff and poorly managed store. Manager is never there apparently. I bought a watch there and must have said 4 times that I don't want insurance (as I already had coverage that covers up to 4 devices). The rep sneakily adds insurance anyway after acknowledging that he was not adding it. I've been charged for the last 4 months for it. Phone support swears that only the store can remedy this. I've called around 8 times throughout the last few weeks trying to get ahold of Josh, the absentee manager. I've left several messages for him and he simply won't return my calls. I just had a negative customer service experience while trying to patronize a local business. Just providing some information regarding the non-corporate AT&T Store: Just Wireless, LLC Store in La Canada. While the store looks like a Corporate AT&T Store, it is a privately owned store that sells phones and accesories for AT&T. Big difference I found out the hard way. I bought 4 new phones on promotion. The full retail cost of the phones before promotion was about $3,500. One of the phones, an iPhone 14 Pro-Max had some technical issues (slow performance, focusing issues, it would select things without the screen being touched, and data entry was slightly off center. It also appeared to be not new since it had already be charged to 64 percent which I did not find this out until I brought it home. When I took it back to exchange for a new phone, the Assistant Manager, in a quite condescending tone, said that some of the issues I cited were known issues with the iPhone 14 then said there would be a $55 restocking fee to return or replace the defective phone. I told him that was unacceptable but he did not budge so after some back and forth and a stalemate, I called AT&T Customer Service while in the store. After a long conversation with the AT&T Customer service loyalty department, the AT&T Cistomer Service manager instructed the store manager to waive the restocking fee. Unfortunately, the indignant store assistant manager still refused, citing that non-corporate stores do not have to abide by AT&T policies to waive the restocking fee, even though they had sold a defective phone that appeared to have been previously sold and returned. Even while talking with the representative at AT&T, the assistant manager made mocking gestures while listening on the phone with AT&T. The store manager also refused to give his AT&T UID number to the AT&T Customer Service manager. The AT&T Customer Service Manager had to offer me a $55 credit if the store would replace the defective phone. I asked for the defective to be replaced with a new phone in an unwrapped box but the manager said phones don't come that way and said I would have to wait 15 minutes for a time safe to unlock to obtain a new phone. While the store manager went to help someone else, another manager came over and said that I was being disrespectful to the store manager. He continued to criticize me in a very demeaning and threatening manner. At the time the AT&T customer service manager who was listening in on my phone, instructed me to leave the store and get a replacement at the AT&T Corporate Store in Glendale. As I was leaving the second manager kept making demeaning remarks as I left. It was an interesting experience to say the least. I've bought many products there in the past and received good customer service but the current staff are not up to AT&T standards. I will not be patronizing that business any more. This post is just to inform the neighborhood regarding my experience buying AT&T products at a non-corporate AT&T Store versus a AT&T Corporate Store. In the future, I will only be shopping at AT&T Corporate Stores or online. Kind of sad because I want to support local brick and mortar businesses that employee people locally but this one of the reasons why so many people are avoiding stores in favor of buying from online stores. Lastly, it appears the work and customer service ethic for some individuals is non-existent. Hope this helps. read more

Jared is the only employee of any ATT customer service I've dealt with who was off the bat wonderful, intelligent, informed, caring and so helpful. It should embarrass ATT management that the majority of the other reviews are negative for ATT customer service. That Yelp avoids factoring in all the removed reviews does not provide an honest picture if the generally low quality of ATT experiences that so many have had. If anyone at ATT is paying attention, people normally do not go out of their way to be stressfully upset and experience the level of outrage that causes their post to be removed by Yelp. It's all in reaction to the substandard careless interaction by so many employees of ATT with their customers. I guess ATT is too big to fail so the executives don't care how badly their employees handle customers and how unfavorably a great majority of the public thinks of them. This store upgraded me 3 iPhones and ordered Next Up feature without my consent for those phones. It was a pain to remove it after I found out. In addition, they didn't tell me about the upgrade charge of $35 per line. This might be something they all do and they might not be obligated to tell me.
