I mentioned the need to upgrade to the Ultimate Plan and was told there is a Black Friday special and the upgrade in service is unnecessary unless I really need/want it. I was told to take my old phone with me and bring it back within 30 days as my trade-in ... and that I may see one monthly phone cost on my bill which will be reversed when the phone is traded in. "Things" (including the LIST price and "Activation Fee" reading "Pro Setup" on the invoice seemed a bit suspicious which was made clearer when I saw an additional $40 activation fee on my Verizon account online. Went to a Verizon COMPANY store this AM and they had me call Verizon Customer Service ... long story short the order which was submitted has NO TRADE-IN and the "authorized Verizon retailer" just tried to get away with selling me (and apparently reaping the commission) on a full-price phone ... and Verizon corporate will now void that sale, send me a new 17pro phone for me to set up by myself after which I can return this currently 1-day-old 17pro to Newtown (and expect to be faced with a $50 restocking fee which Verizon promises to reimburse) ... and then bring my trade-in to a company store. What I learned ... (1) Jay at Newtown appears to be unethical (there were too many "assurances" for this to have been a simple employee "error"). 2. Verizon corporate will take care of their customers (though, should this happen to you, expect to spend MANY hours on the phone with one or more reps through this multi-step process). 3. Leaving a review on the Newtown store's website appears to be deactivated (though scrolling over an online link with the cursor reports an "unrealistic" 4.9 rating over 920 reviews!) . 4. As a college statistics professor, this will make an interesting case study for my students (though I will be careful not to identify the salesperson by name). Buyer beware. This store may "work" for customers looking to reap free phones for switching carriers and multiple lines but current Verizon customers should avoid it at all costs.

What they didn't disclose to me was that it would require them to upgrade my plan which would ultimately add $25 a month to my bill. I only discovered this while talking to Verizon customer service. They purposely tried to hide information and say things in a way that made it seem like this benefited me. Go to an official Verizon store and not an authorized retailer like this place.

No one has been able to help me. They send me to Verizon, and then Verizon tells me its not their fault when it was. It took my daughter two days to get her phone activated. He said he could help remove her number from my account but I had to come in on the day the bill was due. It took 2 1/2 hours on calls with Metro IT and Verizon and no one could do anything about it but put another ticket in. Ozzy decided to just separate my line, sadly that means I am a new customer and can't migrate to TMobile now if I wanted to. I will have to wait a year. He pushed so hard to try and get me credit or a better Amazon prime deal but the best they could do was, I get the Auto pay savings without being on Autopay. I guess $5 is $5. At least I am saving $20 a month now. I have never seen anyone with so much patience as he had. Extremely friendly, courteous and stayed positive the entire time. He is truly an asset to this location as the last two guys that were there at the end of last year were not very helpful with this issue. Thank you, Ozzy, for all you did. I switched to Verizon from T-Mobile in August. Big mistake. I have forgotten how really shady…read moreand frustrating they can be. If you have a problem, one of their favorite tricks is to just loop you around- whether you're calling or online- they have their famous loops. So, when I lost my phone this weekend in my home, I literally tore everything apart piece by piece by piece for two days.... so by the time I arrived at the Verizon store, I was up on the ledge.... That's when Julio Sauza put on his Batman cape and literally saved the situation. I am sure, as anyone who has been a Verizon customer knows, most people do find Verizon extremely frustrating, shady, and not customer friendly at all Combine that with the shock of what 48 hours plus without phone communication can due to an entire weekend. And that people who care about you ..love you ..will turn on you if they can't reach you.!!!? You can only guess, when I arrived at the Verizon store on Csmpus Boulevard in Ewing, I was literally a puddle of drama.... When I walked in, I was looking for a transfer code for my phone, so I could go back to T-Mobile ...BUT Julio stepped in, explained to me that he could activate my old iPhone 13 (which he did)... And, when I explained that Verizon had told me that I was basically out of luck with my 16 pro that never really works very well from day one, he assured me that I did have insurance on that phone and it would be replaced and provided the contact information to make that happen. In the face of my frustration, Julio remained calm, warm and the perfect example of what great customer care looks like.... Verizon definitely needs to pay this young man a lot more than whatever he's being paid, because he is able to keep a frustrated Verizon customer calm, fix her problems and then she finds out when she got home.....She never got the transfer code. WOW!!!
