Do I need to schedule an appointment to have some areas checked on my phone? My latest experience was not good. My questions were not answered & the person I spoke with seemed totally unconcerned about my problem. This has not been a pleasant experience with AT&T. I will NOT recommend AT&T to any members of my family or any friends. The majority of the staff is uninterested in helping or listening to anyone, they just want to sell product. Overview: helpful and mostly friendly staff. Very busy location so be prepared to wait. They are fast and able to help you quickly. We went to this location to upgrade our phones to the new IPhone X. Luckily we walked in and someone was available right away to help us, but several people came in behind us and were waiting for quite some time. The guy who helped us was very friendly and very knowledgeable. He got us hooked up with our new phones and paperwork/purchase finished in about 10 minutes but stuck with us to make sure everything set up okay. We were in the store maybe a total of 20 minutes. Quick!! My only two complaints were that when I asked if it was a busy location he said yes, but that it didn't get to stressful unless "people forget how a line works". He said that right after a woman had sort of complained about waiting, which I found kind of rude. My other complaint was that they did not have the color phone case I wanted and the guy said that I could buy the black one and use it, but then at my convenience return it at another AT&T store and get the one I wanted as long as I kept the box and the receipt. Well it turns out you can't return it to just any AT&T store, it has to be an official AT&T store and not an approved retail store which you don't realize which is which unless you're looking for it. read more

I've been here two separate times. The first time I came here was to purchase an upgrade from my iPhone 6 PLUS to an iPhone X. Luckily, when we came in, we were able to meet with a sales representative immediately to begin the process of buying new phones. It went pretty fast and before we knew it, we were rocking and rolling on our new phones. We bought the screen protector and cases, which they installed for us at the store. I think they're certified in installing the screen protectors, which is a nice thing to have right out of the gate. The sales representative was friendly and sociable, although he did complain about rude customers for a bit when another group of customers were becoming impatient. He really tried to sell other products that AT&T offered as well. He gave us a wrong tip when they only had one iPhone X case in stock that caused us to go to the wrong AT&T store to try and exchange it for another one. You can only take the receipt and return your case at an official AT&T store, not just an authorized retailer. read more

Whenever I walk into an AT&T store, I am faced with a feeling of lowering expectations and that I'm about to embark upon a fruitless venture. And that was definitely the case with my most recent visit. After the Apple Store couldn't help me -- I always try them first -- I went across the street from Oxmoor Center to the AT&T store in the hopes that they could transfer my phone number from a business account -- my former employer's -- to a personal account. I also had my old business iPhone and another iPhone I was hoping to transfer my number to. Well you would think I was the first person ever to ask such a request. The sales associate looked like I had just asked if I could have a cell phone with a side of fries. She very tentatively looked up my former employers' account, looking both overwhelmed and bored at the same time. And after I insisted for 10 minutes that my number was in there to be released, she found it but remarked that I would have to call AT&T to have it transferred. When I asked if I could do that in the store with the number of phones they had laying around, she again looked at me like I was nuts. Plus, despite the store being largely empty, she seemed very eager to get rid of me and not answer any of my other questions. First of all, if all requests for transferring a number from a biz account to a personal account have to be called in and can't go through a store, why couldn't she have told me that when I first got to the store and not 15-20 minutes later. What a waste of time! And this brings me to my second point: AT&T, please do better at training your associates. My biggest frustration with dealing with AT&T is that none of the employees ever seem to know what to do. I was able to get my phone situation figured out, but not without some aggravation. And yes, I'm still with AT&T -- mostly because my entire family is and AT&T seems to have the best coverage in Louisville. But I'm not under a contract yet. I have never had anything but excellent experiences in this store and I've been coming here since I got my first cellphone over 15 years ago. Today, ASM Griffin deserves a personal 5 star review for taking on the entire store solo. I watched him juggle customers with finesse, patience, and professionalism. I didn't make it easy, but he helped me upgrade my iPhone and Apple watch I wanted with ease. I stopped at this store across from Oxmoor Mall. I was very surprised to see how the employees were dressed. I didn't see one AT&T polo, tee shirt, etc. the two folks I dealt with were pleasant, but looked completely unprofessional. When I go into a store like this I do expect to be greeted by people that look put together and have some sort of company logo clothing on. They are representing AT&T not running to take out the trash (hoping you won't meet a neighbor) these folks clearly didn't even look in the mirror before going to work. I've been to the Verizon store many times at Shelbyville and Hubbards Lane and everyone always has a suit on - AT&T take note. read more

Let just say--AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST. I have been a cell phone customer at this store from 1990's until this past month and I will never go back. Poor management, poor customer service and especially Jessica. She is the rudest person on earth and should seek a job elsewhere. She obvious has no sales experience and is rude to the customer. I went in to buy an IPad Pro and she told my daughter that she can't buy one. Let me just say--I have taken my business to a different ATT authorized store. So, Jessica and all employees including the manager-- get your facts straight about authorized user and don t just assume all authorized users don't have the power or rights to buy, add or make changes to their cell service. You didn't even attempt to check my drivers license to see that I am authorized to manage my families account. So-- you lost a $1100 sale. And ATT, you may eventually loose my $4800 per year I spend for service and sales from my friends and family. I have never been so disappointed in my life until now. AT&T is currently defrauding its customers by baiting them with the promise of more data for less money and taking away the bi-annual contract discounts for upgrading phones. They are doing this by initially giving you a credit of $25 per line that you lose when you upgrade your phone at a subsidized rate. This will increase my annual bill for 7 phones $2100 and they got me with a simple click on the app. I went to THIS location and they told me to call customer service because they wouldn't help me get my old contract back. read more

I came here on a Friday afternoon to get a SIM card replaced. There were a lot of people in the store, but I was immediately approached and helped right away. The person helping me was very courteous and knowledgable about AT&T services. I've been with AT&T forever so I don't think I'll ever change my cell phone service. Their signals suck at some places in louisville, but at least they have these local stores with good employees to make up their sucky signal. I have never been treated so badly before in my life. As soon as we walked in the door we were met with an attitude from Jacob. I was having multiple problems with my phone. First of all he said I should go to the Apple Store and then proceeded to try and sell me a service. Eventually I asked for the manager or anyone else. I was told I didn't need the manager. Then he proceeded to kick myself and my 4 year old out of the store for I guess asking for the manager. I was in complete shock! If there was a less than 1 star, I would give that! My husband moved his service to AT&T who was my cell provider because where we combined residences we needed AT&T for cell service. After my husband purchased over $1,000 worth of services and equipment, I asked that my account be merged. I was told that I could not do such for 2-3 billing cycles until my account was "deunified". I was not pleased with that answer but I waited patiently and paid my payments for 4 months!! Each month, I checked in; the process was still not done. More money out of pocket!! If a lesser star rating were an option, I would absolutely choose such. This store, like most AT&T retail locations, is employed by several folks who simply do not show professionalism or knowledge on general topics pertaining to devices and or services. Perhaps the lack of training is a big factor considering the lack of knowledge and professionalism does not stop at the retail locations, it goes to national customer service as well. By far one of the worst companies to attempt to communicate with. I leave every conversation feeling as baffled as the one prior. I went into that store on Friday September 23rd to discuss the upgrade for the iPhone 7, as I received an email from AT&T indicating that I was eligible to receive a credit of $650 if I opt to trade in my iPhone 6. When I arrived at the location I explained why I was there, the guy who assisted me explained to me how the upgrade and credit would work. I told him I was interested in the iPhone 7 256 and asked how that would work as far as the monthly billing goes. He explained to me that it would end up being the difference in pricing of the 32 and 256. I explained to him that I had ordered a phone in the past from that location and they sent it to the incorrect address which turned into a fiasco, therefore I preferred to purchase the phone and receive it in person then and there. He explained that the location was out of phones at that time, but told me I had until 9/30/2016 to process any purchase or order in person, online or via telephone (as the email indicated). I went to apple to see what options they had, they were only offering $200 for my trade in, so I then went to the Highlands location to see what inventory they had. They also were out of the phone. Sunday 9/25/2016 I went back into the St. Matthews location to see if they had received any new inventory, as I was told on 9/23 that they may get some over the weekend. They did not have any in stock, the girl working reiterated to me that I had until 9/30 to process any order to receive the $650 credit. 9/26 I went into that location after work, I figured at this point my best option would be to order in store considering the 9/30 deadline was approaching, the store was pretty busy so I asked the girl working how I go about ordering online and what steps to follow in order to receive the $650 credit. She told me how to go about it and I left. Today I went online to place the order, I could not find the $650 credit option so I started a chat with Steve, who informed me that I am still eligible for the $650 credit and told me how to process the order. I still could not seem to get it to work so I started another chat with Lacey who then transferred me to a supervisor who informed me that it was no longer an option. I explained to him in detail and he suggested that I contact the store directly and speak with the manager. I called St. Matthews, spoke with Adrian, who was very unpleasant and rude. He was not interested in helping me what so ever. I was very elaborate with what was going on and he did not offer any sense of resolution. I asked for the regional manager contact info, he refused to provide anything other than the name. Thereafter I called the Highlands location, I spoke with Brian, he suggested that I come in and have them call customer service to get a resolution. He did not have the manager contact info available, so I contacted Becky at the Dixie office, whom provided the proper contact info. She was very pleasant and assured me that the regional manager should be able to get this resolved. In the meantime I have spent over five (5) hours on the phone with customer service, three different representatives assured me that a manager would be calling me back within two hours, as of yet, not one call received from them. I have also reached out to the regional manager, Greg Shellhass via email, still no contact from him. I called the St. Matthews store back to follow up, Adrian spoke to me with much attitude yet again, very condescending and rude. I have been a customer of AT&T wireless for over 12 years and UVerse for over 5 years, I feel 100% that AT&T does not value their customers as they say. I feel as they could care less if they lose a customer, even ones such as myself who have two different services with them and pay nearly $300 monthly. Get it together AT&T! read more

I bought my girlfriend a smartphone for Christmas two years ago. This weekend she upgraded to a newer smartphone and gave me the old phone. I did not have a data plan, so I cut the 3g data connection of using the settings provided in the menus. I then received a text message saying that I had been signed up for a 3 gig data package. I called and they told me that, whether I bought the phone outright or signed a contract, I was required to have a data plan for a smartphone even if I wasn't using the data features. I then talked to several managers who all told me that there was no corporate headquarters I could call. I found the number and here it is for anyone else getting the run around (210) 821-4105. Use the selection that sends you to the executive offices. They still have not taken the data package off of my phone even though my contract has expired and I have switched back to my old phone. At&T claims that even though you purchase a phone from them they reserve the right to bar you from reselling that phone and can add services to your account without your knowledge or permission. I currently have contacted my family lawyer and he is researching the many class action lawsuits filed against AT&T. He will then see if there is anyway to attach me to those suits. I have also filed complaints with the f.c.c, US attorneys office, our state attorney general and better business bureau. I will be signing up with a new carrier and will dispute any cancellation fees on my other two accounts in court. I have already pulled my television and internet service through uverse and have gone to Directtv. read more
