Anyone who knows even a little about me knows I'll never own an iPhone again. However, I do work on a Macbook. And now I have a Mac mini that has turned into a media machine/file server in my place. This review is more for the ordering and delivery(same day). I needed a Mac Mini and decided to do their order and have it delivered. It worked out great. Why 4 stars? I'm only taking off 1 star for a specific(but important) reason. I ordered my Mac Mini, and it was delivered. When I have deliveries, I typically try to be home... especially when it's expensive. I ordered my Mac Mini and it was left outside my door. I'm glad I was here to retrieve it. Typically I wouldn't mind because Amazon leaves things all the time. It became problematic when it was the box inside an apple bag and just sitting there. Had I not been home, a package stealer could've easily taken off with it and they would've known it was a score before even moving towards the package. I will say that the package came within their delivery window but keep that in mind if you plan to have it delivered(and might not be home). read more

Visited an Apple Store for the first about an issue with phone. My wife got me an outer case to protect my phone since I drop it a lot. That case over time got damaged and was blocking my camera that cause my pictures to blur. Even though the store was packed, they quickly fixed my problem and didn't charge me cent. The Apple Oxmoor location was a good experience. As soon as I walked in was greeted by a person and directed me to the right section of the store. This store has a section for the repairs, questions or problems with your devices and the other section is for purchasing or trade-in.. which was my case. Jim walked me trough the whole process. He was very knowledgeable and was able to show me and explain every step of the way because this was my first time trading a device. They had what I was looking for (Ipad Air 11 inches) again, Jim was outstanding in customer service. I received credit immediately from my trade-in with the purchase of the Ipad. Transferring my info to the new Ipad was a breeze-probably no more then 10 min- if that. Highly recommend this location and ask for Jim! read more

I love the way Apple conducts their business. I wanted to get a new iPad so I went on like to research. They have all the facts and information you need to make the right decision. I selected the one I wanted, entered my information and got the message that it would be shipped free, express and should arrive in two days. I received an order confirmation email, a shipping notice the next day and two days later I received my order at my front door from a Fedex driver. They make it so convenient to shop. I've done this for years for all my Apple products and never had a problem. If there ever is a problem they will take a return and even pay the return postage. You can not go wrong. read more

Visited the Apple Store in louisville, ky because I was having an issue restoring my ipad. The touch screen stopped working after I recieved an update. I talked to the online support and they said the error I was getting is saying the issue was related to a firewall, cable, or my pc was not up to date. I went to the apple store to take my equiment out of the equation. I recived the same error at the apple store. The apple advisor went and talked to someone and told me my ipad memory was full of data and it would not be able to be restored because it was full. I replied is there a way to delete the data and he replied no there was not. I ask to talk to supervisor. She said my internal memory failed. I said the touch screen stopped working after an update and now the memory has failed and did not make sense. She said i could have dropped the ipad six months ago and now it has caused the ipad to fail. Then she said when i tried to restore it that could have caused the issue bacause restoring the ipad is like running a sprint and its hard on the ipad. I was welcome to buy another one there was nothing more they could do. Her tone was quite snippy. I would not recomend going to the apple store. read more

I have a new iPhone, and it feels so good. I've been rocking my iPhone 7 (sold to me by a friend a year after its release date) for four years or so. Its battery was going kaput, and it was dying whenever I tried to do too much with the wifi or data. Now I have an iPhone 12, and a great experience at the Apple Store to look back on. I was able to quickly find an associate to help me out. He was friendly and informative. He also pointed out that I may want to wait a month for the newer iPhone model to be released. Alas, I needed a phone sooner than that, but I still appreciate his honesty. I traded in my old phone for some money off my new phone, and another associate helped me make sure everything downloaded from iCloud. No one was pushy about trying to upsell a more expensive iPhone or accessories. This was an all-around good experience. I'm not sure why there are such awful reviews. I had the best customer service from the minute I entered. Multiple people approached us and spoke with us about products. They were all really knowledgeable and personable. So nice! We didn't buy anything, mostly browsed as we were all hoping to eventually get some new Apple products. It was probably around 5:30 on a Friday when we got here and there were still a lot of people in here. It wasn't extremely packed, but they were definitely busy. Like most people who frequent the Apple Store - I'm very loyal to Apple products. So, when I finally accepted that it was time to upgrade my 9-year-old MacBook Pro - I knew exactly where to go. I had done my research beforehand. Based on my needs and current uses I had already picked out the type of computer I wanted and I knew exactly what I was spending down to the dime. This isn't necessary - it's just part of my neurosis. The people working at the Apple Store are obviously well-versed in all of their products and they will be able to help you pick out exactly what you need. The entire computer buying process took about thirty minutes. My name was put on a list when I first arrived and I was greeted in under three minutes. They offer 18-month no interest financing - which is super simple to apply for and you're approved (or not approved...) immediately. I've been to the Apple Store many times and I always have appreciated that I've never had a person try to be pushy and up-sell everything. There have been times where I was very upfront that I was just browsing and the employees were still very helpful in answering all of my questions. I know some people have mixed reviews of the Genius Bar but I've always had good experiences there. All I all I think this place runs like a well-oiled machine. Not quite to the level of Chick Fil A - but at least they have something to aspire to. read more

Life. Savers. I've owned Apple Products since 2008 with the purchase of an iMac. Never had an issue and it still runs 10 years later. Recently I tried to update the OS on my 2013 MacBookPro. For some reason it shut down and couldn't install. I called Apple Support and couldn't get much done over the phone so they made an appointment for me in the store. When I arrived at my appointment, as usual the store was pretty busy. I checked in and was helped right away. For major software / hardware problems, make your life easier and have an appointment!!! When I got there, during my 2 hour wait, while with my son as it was his phone with the issue, being squashed in the middle of the table with others and their family members and no room to breathe, the spot on the end opened up so he moved down to have room and be able to breathe. The apple store attendant then came in and told us to move so she could put another person there. It was very dismissive of why we were sitting there and only to her convenience, not out of need. Not a fan. The store looks nice and all but the service was unorganized. I had an appointment and the woman told me to take a seat at the table. Other people that arrived after me were started to be seen. I waited for 20 min. When I asked her again when will I be seen and my appointment was accidentally "cancelled". Just like nearly everyone and their brother, I am a huge fan of Apple products and have owned many over the years. The Apple Store is your place to go when you prefer not to order online, and also contains a "Genius Bar," where you can book appointments with questions/concerns about your products (the reason for my most recent visit.) The one big, big reason I hate going in here: It is INSANITY. A freaking massacre of customers every time I go in. It is the only store in Louisville, so if you're in need of an Apple trip, this is one of your few options. I booked an appointment with the Genius Bar because my hard drive was not being recognized on my Mac. They allow you to book appointments online, which is very easy and convenient. You go to the back of the area at the bar at your appointment time and wait for someone to assist you. Here's my problem: They don't have enough people, and the bar is not big enough. Yes, the Apple Store is beautifully designed and doesn't even have a cash wrap, but for the amount of people who go to the Genius Bar, it should almost be on its own. My appointment was at 5:30, but someone didn't come around until about 5:50. Once he did, he was juggling myself and another customer at the same time, which really irritated me as it dragged out my appointment wayyy longer than what it had to be. I was thankful that it was an easy fix and was free, and all that was needed to be done was install a software on my computer. While it was uploading, he told me once it was done it should be good to go. It only took about 2 minutes, but he was helping someone else. Whatever their problem was, it took about 20 minutes. I was literally sitting there while my computer was finished, and watched him deal with someone else's problem before he gave me my computer back. This really just pissed me off. He then hands me my computer and goes back to the other woman. No goodbyes, no "Thanks for coming in," he says nothing to me. I'm sure they are busy like this all the time, as it can sometimes be hard to book a last minute appointment. But there is no reason to why I had to wait exactly an hour for a two minute upload, just because they didn't get to me on time and I had to wait for someone else. Unfortunately I will have to come back here if I have any other issues just because I don't trust many other places. read more

So today I had an appointment with apple because my AirPod 2s that literally just came out a few months ago just recently stopped working. I just bought this March 29th. I don't use these for exercising or anything. I only use these for listening to podcast at home. Well yesterday(Mothers Day) they just randomly stopped working. So I had to make an appointment today and go all the way out of my way to go to the Apple Store just for them to tell me that I may not get a new pair until June. That really frustrated me. She then proceeded to tell me that if I come back in two days they may have them. Who me. No. I'm not coming back and wasting my time and gas for you to tell me y'all don't have any. Y'all can call me. She said sure someone will call me and tell me either way good or bad. Apparently this is an issue with the AirPod 2s with them randomly not working for the employee to not even test them but to immediately switch them out and get me a new one. They didn't even have spare(s) in the back. Don't get me wrong when apple products work. They work but when they stop working for no reason and literally not even a full two months old from my possession(3/29/19) becomes an issue. Not a Happy Customer This rating will change either way. It may just be my luck but I always have the worst experience when I visit Apple for technical help. A few years ago was with my iPhone and today with my MacBook. I needed an appointment Sunday but Thursday was the earliest I could get in. I finished my appointment beforehand early and went ahead to the store. The guy said I couldn't check in because there were people ahead of me. I left then came back and checked in, still before my appointment, and was greeted right away. I was told my MacBook will be sent off but he couldn't tell me where it's being sent to or the exact time frame. And it's business days but tomorrow, Friday, wouldn't count as a business day because they pickup on Monday. I just wish Apple was easier to deal with in terms of making timely appointments and getting said items serviced timely, too. Their items aren't cheap and their service shouldn't be either. Next time I'll consider sending my item to Apple Care myself instead of waiting a week for an appointment for them to do just that. read more

I bought a Ipad from Newegg for my wife. In trying to setup the iPad we made a mistake in the email account typing it in. Then my wife had forgotten her password, so this complicated things worse. We took the iPad to Oxmoor store, the one sales associate was helpful, but said all we can do is get the receipt to prove this was purchased by you. I went home printed the sales order and receipt from Newegg, took the iPad back into the store, this sales girl started arguing with me that the receipt was not good enough. I am so frustrated with Apple I have the same issue the Apple ID is hard to remember with all the restrictions and requirements I forgot mine to update my iPhone as well. I had a 2:15 appointment for my battery to be replaced at the Apple store at the Oxmoor mall in Louisville. I received a confirmation email with a number. I drove from Elizabethtown to Louisville and when I arrived discovered that the store is closed. The story is that there was a water main break. That's interesting, because every other store in the mall is open and the restrooms work for the mall. The mall employees tell us that Apple is not going to reopen until tomorrow. Apple is a tech company. You would think that I would've received an email or text or something stating that this store was closed or my appointment had been canceled. I'm not happy that I had to use the gas and time to travel an hour for nothing. If the Watermain break were the real story and the entire mall was closed, I would have more patience with the situation. But since every other store managed to open, I think this is a symptom of ridiculously poor management on the part of this Apple store. read more

This Apple store has consistently knocked it out of the park as far as I am concerned. The people here are very caring and loyal to their customers. The store is always clean, and in good order which that alone is amazing considering how crowded it always is. One thing I have learned through the years is never, ever, ever show up at Apple's store in Louisville without an appointment. The store is small and their employees often spill out into the lounge area of the mall to help their customers. The only reason why I have deducted one star is it's always crowded, loud, and even with appointments you spend more time there than necessary. Apple products just work, and they are designed for a person who does not want to continuously maintain their computer. Out of the box apple includes the equivalent of Microsoft Office in their iWork suite and it is ready to go. But if you need some customization with an appropriate appointment one of Apple's geniuses will be glad to walk you through it. Most of all the employees here are the heart and soul of the place. They handle the hoard of wild customers with grace and finesse... and even use good humor to entertain them. I hope Apple will see this and consider a second store in Louisville or a major re-work to the existing one. They need classrooms like the bigger apple stores... they need more room, a bigger Genius bar. I am certain that the City of Louisville can handle it. Apple is for everyone, when you come here yes you see hipsters, but also grandmas & grandpas, students, and lots and lots of beautiful everyday people. read more
