Worst service ever I've been here couple of times and they've tried to get me to stop having unlimited mins and data which is why I am with you in the first place because I have it grandfathered in. I did my research before I purchase something that will take an arm and a leg to pay for and I finally decided to upgrade to an iPhone. I did some heavy research pros and cons and I had my paperwork all printed out and ready to port my number and get the rates and features that I wanted. I was told at the Saratoga store that the family plan I wanted wasn't available and I couldn't get unlimited family text with the lowest plan. Wrong wrong wrong...I got it at the McCarthy Ranch Store just fine. My plan was the $59.99 family plan, $30 unlimited family text and of course the unavoidable data plan for my new toy. I got help not by one but three associates that took about two an half hours to do. Its almost like buying a car but you can put this toy in your pocket. Breakdown of the Sales people that I dealt with: Adam, he one of the two manager I have learned when calling in about a billing issue. He is good salesperson and knows what he is doing. If you just want to cut all the BS just ask for him. No excuses just business. Arthur, he is the best out of the three I dealt with. He is well knowledge about almost all the phones and AT&T services. He is quick and will get you in and out of there with a snap. Even though it wasn't his sale he helped to make sure it would go through and took care of us when we were in the store and as well as over the phone. He has a good memory and that makes his customer service skills beyond par. Omar, he was our sales guy--he is a newbie so be patience with him. He tries his hardest to help you out and the whole time he was honest about everything he knew and didn't know. I appreciate that but I am about business so he needs to get up to par. My cell phone experience has been a mix but the one advice that I can give all you mobile seeker for new services, to transfer, etc. etc. is to do your homework, come in with print out of what you want (they will tell you that they don't have that service or they don't offer it anymore---lies lies lies to make the sale), and if you are porting your number to have the front page of your bill as well. It will save you so much time. Also, go when you have time to kill, if you are impatience or in a rush go other time. As for this AT&T Store it had what I needed but could have done better with service and keeping with their word. It is when a salesperson that can't keep his word is when I question the ethics of the store...so be aware. FREE ADVICE: Always ask if you can get your activation fee waived because you might get lucky and the manager will give you a break. read more

I went there today to buy a new iPhone XS Max and pay in full. The guy says the phone will be locked and there is a $30 activation. I said I'll be moving my SIM card from my 6s to this new phone so what are you activating? He said nothing. Then I asked them if I buy the phone from Apple store, it's the same price, I get an unlocked phone, and there's no $30 activation fee. He replied, "correct". Then I said it's not logical for you to charge the $30. He replied, "well, we gotta make money". I walked out the store right away. What a joke. read more

I've been having issues with my Uverse billing for the past 3 months. Went to the north SJ location and called AT&T a few times but it never got resolved. I was being charged $150 over the monthly bill for random movies and tv shows that I've never watched. Jasmin and the store manager were GREAT! They did not just get my money back but offered a solution and stood by me til everything was taken care of. While we were there, Ronnell looked at my family's account (7 phone lines) and helped consolidate our bill by merging them into once account. He saved us $300.00 per month! Came to this store on Tuesday, May 22 to inquire about our new AT&T account. The sales person who helped me was very accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable. He looked at our account and asked me if he can make a suggestion. WOW! Very professional, unlike other sales people who just wants your money and doesn't care if you're paying a lot. After a few minutes of explaining and comparison against the current plan that we have, I was surprised and in awe on how much savings it would help us. Of course without hesitation and looking at the amount of money we will save monthly, I agreed to have our plans change, which by the way, he backdated to the original date of purchase. I left the store very happy with a big smile on my face. Cell Phone auto Pay !! Many Many Years now with AT&T. Had my Credit card Hacked , A fraudulent charge by AT&T was on my card, Killed Card to stop more charges , Now i can't add a new card because i will not pay the Fraud charge, After explaining it to employee then Manager, at the store and online and Phone calls, They finally told me that since i was such a long time customer they would remove the charge , DUU stupid i did not make that charge you idiot, and what has a long time customer to do with my Card getting Hacked by one of your workers , No Hacker would do a $ 49.27 charge on there phone to add more minutes, I also Have Directv with them and every month it goes up in price . AT&T It's my local store, and it was an ethical store. No more. Don't bother going there unless you're the type of person who likes to deal with the old-fashioned "car salesman". They're not knowledgeable about their products, and they do not know the AT&T wireless offerings. They will cost you more than if you call AT&T directly (611). I'm am so disappointed in the caliber of the managers there. I bought a phone on one day, returned it the next day, and they did not cancel the two-year contract, but, sadly, that's not the beginning nor the end. Got my phone ordered online to be picked up at this local store. Even after the confirmation email and procurement support acknowledging the order, the staff here couldn't seem to find my order. Continued to ask me to cancel the order so they can reprocess it. After I called support in front of them it magically appeared and they found my order. I came in to upgrade my iPhone and waited less than five minutes to be seen. Our associate, Eddie, was extremely helpful and spent 20 Minutes to transfer all my files from my old phone. He also looked into whether he could save us money on our existing plan, but confirmed we had the cheapest plan for our needs. Five stars for his honesty, positivity, and service. I came here to see what is up with my AT&T iphone not accepting the AT&T sim. I saw a line and I thought it was a line for people who were waiting for the iPhone 6 but no, it was a line outside for any kind of service or transaction. The store is very big, 2-3 times bigger than a typical AT&T store and I'm sure it can accommodate the 7 people who were made to stand outside and wait while others were being helped inside. I was fine waiting the 15 minutes to be helped because I didn't have an appointment but an older gentleman came and all he wanted to do was to look at the accessories for his phone. He asked the woman commandeering the entrance to the store that he didn't need any help from any of the employees as he was just going to take a look at the phone accessories they offered but she basically told him, "wait at the back of the line." In all honesty, I don't think that was right as he didn't need any help or services. She just told him to wait at the back of the line and at this point, it was about maybe a 20 minute wait. That is very ridiculous as why would someone want to wait in line for that long just to LOOK at products and may not even buy them? He asked politely once again just in case she didn't hear him correctly and she basically shooed him away to the back of the line; as with that type of customer service, he left and didn't even bother with her anymore. What kind of employee does that? People who wanted to just look at products can't even come to the store and take a look. If you're expecting people to just wait and know what they're going to purchase, they would have done so already without asking to take a look at the products offered. How this woman basically treated him, I was immediately turned off by her customer service. I went and got information I needed for my iphone, as the person who helped me did a great job, but because of how the other woman at the door treated the older gentleman, I don't think I'll ever come back to this place. This used to be best ATT store in the area, but has really gone downhill... Not sure what happened, maybe new manager or something running it into the ground. Came in one day to buy new phone at full retail price. Sales guy lies to me, says they can't do that, can only sell with contract. Total BS, this is not an official AT&T policy. All they care about is conning you into signing up for a contract. Made the mistake of coming in another time to buy a phone. During the sales guy's pitch, he talks about how if there is any problem with the phone, you can exchange or return within 14 days, blah blah. So I buy the phone, open it up, and turn it on and boom - right away noticed the screen looked kind of funky, like the colors weren't right. I took it over to the display model and the screen on my phone looked really bad compared to that one. Pointed it out to salesman and he just sort of shrugged, said that maybe something was wrong with the display model then. BS! I reminded him that he said I could exchange the phone if there were any problems - told him that I would like to exchange for another one of the same model because there was something seriously wrong with the one they just sold to me... He said he'd need to go discuss it with his manager. Discuss what?!?! They went off to the side and pow-wowed for a bit, then sales guy comes back, tells me that they will not allow me to exchange it. What?! Nope, manager won't allow it, so... They said as long as the phone turns on and works, then there's nothing wrong with it. So OK then, I want to return this defective phone you just sold me - sure, they'll let me do that... But I'll have to pay a $35 restock fee. What? Had to make sure I heard that right... So you're telling me, that you're charging me $35 to open up a phone, right in front of you, only to find out there's a problem with it right out of the box?? He tells me that's their policy, the phone still turns on and works. So this AT&T store stole $35 from me... yes, stole it. Aside from calling the police and causing a major scene, what else was I supposed to do? I wasn't about to leave the store with a broken phone. So I got my refund - minus the BS $35 opening the box fee -and got the heck out of there. So beware people... all these 5-star reviews here are most likely made by the employees friends and relatives. No one in their right mind would honestly give this store 5 stars. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I came in this morning at 11:00, right when they first opened and I was quickly greeted by RAJ. He ended up helping me with my whole transaction. I just came in to transfer my cousin's line..which was a prepaid customer into my family line so I can swapped my black iphone with him to get a new white one. I tried going to the At&t location on Capitol, but they just wasted an hr of my time and nothing got done..they even tried to convince us to change his number. Well, when I came here today, Raj was able to do everything within 35 minsand we were good to go.We also didn't even have to get a new number and he was able to keep the old number. On top of that, he even hooked us up with some accessories... he gave us a free ZAGG full body shield( one of the top..lifetime guarantee =]) and he also ask some girl to put it on both phones for us and she did a superb job with it..which I did not expect at all. I've never had such a smooth transaction at any other location before. So I would definitely recommend this place, especially Raj. He really does his best to help you and he doesn't really pressure you in getting stuff you don't need. read more

I been a loyal at&t customer for over 3 years now and am very outraged of the continual bad service and constant manipulation of being excessively over charged on phone line services one time after another. in Nov21st of 2021 I turned my new iPhone back with it time for return policy but recently realized at&t been charging g me for the installment on an occurring monthly basis that total $489.00 as if last month. Not only that they used the wrong IME that totally confused all at&t employee when trying to resolve many issues with phone in the past l. To make a long story short an at&t employee was the only who caught this over the years and brought it to her supervisor attention . They immediately gave me credit of $489.00 to pay off my installment plan but after careful evaluation of the credit I realized that instead they should have omitted the installment plan and forward me a check of a refund of $489.00. at&t just based on my experience alone obviously doesn't care about a little person like me and always seems to justify their insidious behaviors by manipulating and financially sticking it to their customer even when the facts or records so that they are wrong. A PISSED VERY FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER, going back to BOOSTMOBILE. One thing you can count on with BOOSTMOBILE no 3. 1. They value their customers,2. reception better than most carriers( their owned by Sprint), 3 theres no tricksor surprised when you get your monthly bill it's $50.00 unlimited talk, tex guaranteed And if they are in the wrong my experiences in the past they have always made things right and didn't have me on hold unlike at&t. This review is just for Jefferson who's working at the AT&T store in Milpitas. Today I went to the store to get my prepaid sim activated because it wasn't working even after activating it online. Jefferson assisted me & he was super patient & helpful in getting this done for me. He stayed on the phone with different customer service reps for more than an hour, even though the store was equipped to help mostly postpaid & other customers. Service associate promised any of these will be refundable however later on I approached the same person and wanted to refund the screen protector, he shirked saying it can not be refundable. My experience here was terrible. Particularly, the manager 'Joe' doesn't treat his customers very well and I am not surprised by the number of low ratings on the review here. I was in the store couple of weeks back to inquire about Iphone 6s plus and I decided to purchase the phone after the store manager Joe insisted that I can come back later to trade in my old smartphone. I was a bit apprehensive and wanted to make a new order and trade-in of my old smartphone at the same time. However, after repeated assurance from Joe I went ahead with the purchase on my first visit without trading in my device. However, today when I went to store 'Joe` was not at all friendly. Joe's comment were really in bad taste when he termed my LG smartphone as random device, and then later went on to insist that he is doing me a favor by selling me a other phone from his store which can be traded-in for iPhone 6s plus. All in all, his attitude at customer management was really terrible and I wished I never had visited this store. I returned the Iphone 6s plus to them with a restocking fee because of poor customer service at this store. Joe is the store manager here. read more

Went to ATT store at McCarthy Ranch today. I need a SIM card for a child's watch that allows video contact with parent. This watch is not an ATT product. Jefferson, the employee that helped us, was great. He helped us through the whole process and even set up the watch after installing the SIM card just to make sure everything worked. Even patiently waited with my wife while I drove home to get the charger I had forgotten. Jefferson was patient, pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. This review is based solely on the representative at the front door. The lady who assisted me was MIKAYLA/ KAYLA. I have never encountered such poor customer service at this AT&T store, EVER. Possibly because most of the workers here are "new" now. I was greeted at the door and told Kayla I wanted to purchase accessories only. She insisted on putting me on the queue since the sales rep would need to go directly into my account (verifying ID) just to sell out an accessory ...which is not completely true considering I used to be an AT&T representative not too long ago and it was possible to access an account by choosing the option "accessory sale". Anyway, that was not the biggest drawback during my visit. While Mikayla/Kayla was explaining to me that the rep fully access my account, one of her co-worker or friend was leaving and she stopped him midway to talk. I stood there for about a minute listening to them go back and forth about why he was leaving already or where he was leaving to. To my point, the conversation was irrelevant for an employee to immediately stop talking to their customer in order to engage in a conversation with their colleague who is off the clock. Incredibly unprofessional. After he had left, she finished her statement and added me on the queue. It is obvious this representative lacks good customer service skills and professional etiquette. read more

When we switched from Verizon to AT&T and ordered our new phones after going through all the formalities calling their customer service number, our order got cancelled 2 times without a valid reason. Then we ordered a 3rd time on the phone and this time we took care to see that the name on the credit card we used for paying sales tax on the phones matched the name of the account holder. This time the order went through and we got the phones home. But only 2 of the 3 lines had successfully ported from Verizon and we could not activate the lines. The rep on the phone asked us to go to a AT&T store to get them activated quickly. We went to the Milpitas store and the manager greeted us and set us up with Raj Marwha. Raj was amazing and very helpful. Even though we had not bought the phones from the store, he was super helpful in getting our lines activated. He knew who to call to resolve our issue. He called a couple of departments and had to be on the phone for a long time but he did it with a lot of patience and calm demeanor. We went there at 6 PM and by 8PM he had managed to transfer 2 lines from the reserved status to active status and got the lines activated. We had to return the next day and he assigned us to Kendall, who had to again call some AT&T department to activate our 3rd line. The previous evening the rep on the phone had forgotten to add the billing plan to one line. Raj pointed that out to Kendall and she got it added to our 2 lines and then we were all set. Thank you Raj and Kendall for your exemplary service! You restored our faith in AT&T. We were almost on the brink of switching to T-mobile or back to Verizon. read more

I had some problems with a phone that I purchased for my mother. It was a model that has been know to have battery issues. I visited another AT&T store in Vallejo to try and trade for a different phone. They were no help at all. Everything out of their mouths were we can't help you. I came to this location and they apologized of the incompetence of the people at the other store. Did the exchange for a different phone no questions asked. AT&T is a pain to deal with but I was happy with the amount of effort these guys put in to resolve my issue. read more

I've been an existing AT&T customer for a while now, and the service really sucks. If Apple didn't have the iPhone, I would've probably gone with Verizon or TMobile. That being said, I've had really great customer service at this specific store. I've been to the store a couple times and I've been helped by Kevin almost every time. He doesn't really bullshit you and just tells you as it is. He tries to make sure your experience is a good one and that you are in and out of the store in a respectable time. Both my brother and I recently upgraded to Iphone 3gs and it literally took us less than 15 minutes to have everything setup. I highly recommend Kevin if you are to go to this store. read more
