If I could give negative stars, I would. I am SURPRISED at all of the positive reviews. Each time I leave that store I vow never to return... and of course I give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL AT&T store I have ever visited, and I have visited a lot. When you arrive you check in, because there is always a long wait (seems as though they have not figured out that weekends and evenings are busier than weekdays). However, you are lied to about the wait time - they tell you 15-30 minutes...regardless of how many people are in there and how many are waiting - i've heard this each of the 3 times I have attempted to go to this store in 2015. I had NEVER waited less than an hour. This time, 12:45 on July 5th, I walked out at 45 minutes (however, 3 other people also 'stepped out' as they put it). You may ask why I walked out, only being 15 minutes beyond their estimated wait time... Well, this is why: When i first arrived there was a couple at the counter being rung up and checked out, there was also a couple with TWO sales associates tied up (and one was not in training) at the table with the devices. These two couples and 3 sales associates were in the exact same place when I walked out at 45 minutes. Now you might say, well they were helping the customers and wouldn't I want the same attention?? YES - IF THEY WERE DISCUSSING RELEVANT BUSINESS! The guy at the cash register was demonstrating how to shoot a shotgun or something to that effect... And, AFTER 45 minutes that I saw ( NO idea how long both sets of consumers were there before I arrived), he THEN decides to unbox the phone and set it up. Really? Just then? When you were engaged in a 20 minute personal discussion about duck hunting?? The other couple with the TWO sales associates were playing show and tell with pictures of their kid's wedding! So you have a full house of people, every sales associate busy, 6 customers waiting (for at least 45 minutes - since no one else got helped in the mean time), and you are having personal discussions and show and tell for more than 20-30 minutes?? That is completely unprofessional, and RUDE. If you were my associates I would be paying attention to the fine line of establishing a report and taking care of business so that your other CUSTOMERS do not have their time wasted. I get being personable, but come on people - - have a little common sense. And this isn't a one-off experience. It happens EVERY single time I'm there. Maybe that's how you are taught to handle customer service...but YOU still have a choice and a brain. Take a look around - pay attention to the time you are spending that is non-essential - treat your customers waiting with respect - and attempt to service them efficiently. Of course, being told "well you can leave" by the guy managing the queue isn't exactly a customer service accolade either. I will NEVER return. And I hope other people start getting fed up with the lousy behavior of these associates who do not care that there are people waiting. sharing photos?? If I could give negative stars I would. I purchased a family plan from the wonderful Plainfield IL store,near the Target on 127th. Purchased 2 i phone 6Splus and brought 2 iphones 5s with us. My daughter was having a hard time backing up the kids i phones and putting the new sims cards in. The rep told her that I had purchased 4 new phones, not 2 and that she needed to accept the terms of service. Basically make her buy their phones. They kept her their for 2.5 hours trying to hard sell her other services. like Direct TV,home protection services. They also had her call me to make her an authorized user! They almost scammed her, but thank God she called 611. It was taken care of in 10 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. She wasted 3 hours of her one day off from work. I am flabbergasted! Do not go there. Go to see Mirza at the store in Plainfield. STAY AWAY!!!!!!! This is the first time that I am writing a review, but I feel others should learn from my mistake. I first went to a "franchise" store in Lockport, IL only to be there all day, I'm talking 5 plus hours. I then went to the Mokena Store which I guess is a "Corporate" store. Then ended up fixing me switching over from Verizon (worst decision of my life). However, in being a customer for 1 year and 3 months, the first 12 months I had nothing but issues. My bill was not as quoted (not even close, a few bucks here and there is ok, but when you are talking $40-$50 plus, that's an issue), nobody was able to figure out how to give me my Free App, I chose HBO, I purchase and Apple watch, the one you did not need your phone to use, but that never worked and after two months I cancelled the service because AT & T said this was not a product issue, but a service issue (I know right, don't they provide the service? and they continued to charge me and I had to pay an activation fee). To make matters worse, I called the headquarters and they said just take the watch back to the store for a refund. This did not work as the store would not honor this. So, I cancelled the service for the watch, had to pay off the watch and now have a watch that was sold to me that was supposed to function one way and did not, deceptive practices? False advertising? For the past YEAR, I have sent numerous emails to the store requesting a copy of my contract which if you read the fine print, needs to be signed to avoid any legal action. To date, after probably 20 plus emails, I have not received the contract. I can go on and on as I have documented every interaction, email, voice call etc......Please if you read this, still decide to go to this store after getting your head examined my advice is as follows: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING AND GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. After "correcting" my phone plan, I requested that the customer service representative please email me a copy of the "corrected" phone plan. The customer service representative, and his boss, reassured me that I would have one emailed to me automatically within 48 hours. That was told to me on Monday afternoon.
