I went in around September planning to pay off my current phone and use it as a trade-in to upgrade to the iPhone 17. The woman helping me told me it might be hard to get the trade-in approved and suggested I open a business line instead. She said that if I moved the device to that new line, I would get promotional credits toward a new phone. She also told me that the phone insurance was mandatory and that I would not be able to remove it for 60 days. She said I could call later to have it lowered. I later found out from a friend who works at Verizon that she only added it because after 60 days, her commission would be safe. By the time everything was done that day, I paid about $797. That covered paying off my old phone, taxes, and several fees, including a setup fee. The only thing she actually did was open the box. A month later, my phone bill went up by about $200. That was when I learned that almost everything she told me was untrue. There were no promotional credits for the new phone. The only credit I received was a partial one for the business line. I was basically paying full price for the new device and the new line. On top of that, the next bill had nearly $150 in fees that looked like they were charged twice. If you can, go to the Verizon store in Foley instead.

Since it was after hours, had to spend a few hours on the phone with verizon tech support to get into a phone we just activated. Next morning, we came back to the store to see if they could get our old data transferred from the old phone that they kept, but a different person claimed it was already wiped. A day later we were told it had not been wiped after all. No one could get their story straight on whether our old phone had indeed been wiped or not (a phone that they kept with credit card and other personal info stored). After another couple of hours, they still couldn't transfer the data and blamed the poor wifi connection.

The ONLY reason I showed up here was because my husband needed help with understanding why he wasn't receiving emails to his phone and the signal to his phone and mine was blocked (he has a business account) and not to mention it blocked us from logging into our Myverizon account. Immediately as we walked in there was ONE person there to help. He was helping 3 people set up their phone and when he looked up at us he said "can I help you?" When we explained he cut us off before I could say o didn't have signal and said " call 611 they can help that isn't something I can do" again. With WHAT cell service and we ended up going over to a phone repair place where he let us borrow his phone so we could call the company and them fix the problems in less than 10 min. When we were asked "why couldn't they get you at a store" we asked them the same question because the gentleman behind the counter could have easily called and it would not have taken anything. Anyways. Today, I changed my business account over to a different company because I am not going to be treated by a cell company that I pay good money to poorly and brushed off like I did not know what I was talking about. I'm not electronically incompetent. I have my own business and trusted this company to help me fix any issues I couldn't fix on my end.
