I have used the location multiple times for my AT&T services. I've found the staff to be helpful, whether they are answering my questions about my account (or my Mom's) and when I look to upgrade phones and other products. Most of the time I am greeted at the door and checked in to be seen by the next available employee. There is a screen on the wall showing the queue for those waiting to be served. Fortunately they have a few fun time killers around, such as DIRECTV on a big screen, cornhole, and a basketball toss game. This location can be busy, and the parking lot that is shared with the Starbucks next door can make parking a little difficult at times. read more

It took over one and half hours to trade a phone and activate. When I asked about the monthly bill the rep put me on a phone with Customer service for 45 minutes. I was told alot of misleading things switching services now my bill is double. I would say you are better off calling in but 2 hours in the phone is not worth it, the store manager and employees can't answer simple questions or really help at all I am now stuck either this horrible service! And, on the off chance that a new phone, headphones, speakers are not on the must-have it today list, the store also carries all the requisite accessories for smart phones no matter what the operating system. Near the front door is a simulator, linked to a phone, allowing users to experience how texting and driving can quickly cause the guilty party to drift off the road, hit something (or someone) or drift into another lane. April 2: Just received my bill for our new plan - This was supposed to REDUCE my bill by about $50/month. Instead it increased by $30. So instead of paying around $190/month for 4 lines and a hotspot, now I'm paying more than $270. Someone doesn't have their information straight! Upon returning to the store, management is suggesting the S.N.A.F.U. (military terminology for those who do not know the acronym) should correct itself in the next billing cycle. That doesn't help me right now. When I asked if I could switch back to my old plan if it didn't correct itself, I was given the answer "We don't see why it wouldn't correct itself" instead of a yes or no. May 2: Update 30 days later - another incorrect bill, Student discount had been removed and was not credited for the overcharge on the previous bill. Spent about an hour working with Matt and Kevin to get it resolved. Unfortunately, ATT Corporate customer service is a poor reflection of what customer service should be. I wanted to get a new phone (in May '14) and was sent to this location from the AT&T North Hills location. The sales representative was very helpful in explaining the new "Lease to Own" plan vs the "Pay up front" plan. Since i was upgrade 2 phones; iPhone 4 & 4S to iPhone 5S, it look over an hour to complete the process for both phones (total). Make sure you check in when you first arrive to the store and alocate waiting time if the store is busy. (Thats for any AT&T store.) I checked in when I firsted arrived but my name wasn't on the check in screen and got glossed over for 10-15 minutes before being asked if we needed help. There was only 2 or 3 other groups in the store and 2-3 agents wondering around doing nothing. Overall, Good service. Other than the annoying wait, our sales rep was well educated in AT&Ts plans and products. (Surprisingly I have met sales reps that didn't know their material and had to ask a manager.) read more

Whatever you do @ATT , DO NOT LET ANDRE TOUCH YOUR PHONE. Came here for a screen protector for the phone. Since I was buying it here, I figure why not let him install it. That was the worst mistake every. You know how when you buy one of those high dollar tempered glass screen protectors, the phone needs to be squeaky clean for it to adhere properly. So in the pack they include wet/alcohol wipes to remove all of the dirt, oil, and fingerprints on the phone. Then there is an adhesive pad to remove the lint and dust. My jaw dropped when I saw Andre putting the cover on. He said, I have a better method for cleaning the screen. Then he just pulled out Scotch tape, laid it on the screen, and pulled it off. I asked him was that going to remove all of the dirt, oil, and fingerprints. His response was, "Yes, it removes everything." You know what, I call Bull crap on that one. Scotch tape will not clean off oil, or fingerprints, as we all know tape doesn't stick to anything greasy or oily. That means Andre is the biggest liar in the store. I asked him what if he cracked the glass while installing it, and he said, "It is yours, you paid for it." Let me get this straight, I buy a glass screen protector, he gets it from the back, takes the phone, and installs the glass. That means the screen protector never reached my hands, and it breaks it before the hand off, he said he wasn't going to assume any responsibility. What the heck, I mean, if you are the salesperson handling something, and you break it, you are the one responsible, or at least that is what I would believe. That is like buying a car, and then right after you sign the papers, as they drive it to the front they total it, and say, "Oh well, you already signed the dotted line." Which means I now have a poorly installed screen protector with gunk behind it since Andre decided to half-ass the installation. If you want to buy something from this store, fine, just don't let them open it up, or touch it. All they care about is taking your money, and not making sure you are happy, or everything is perfect before you leave the store. U-verse seems to think it's perfectly acceptable for your phone, TV and internet to be out for an entire week. We had and outage last thursday. The technical service establishment does not communicate. They let you stay offline for days, then you have to spend over 30 minutes getting past an unnecessary phone tree to try to get the problem resolved. I drove my dead iPhone all the way across town to the official AT&T Store in order to recycle it as they advertise online (copied/pasted below). I was told they don't recycle and that I could leave my phone (and unneeded cell signal boost equipment) and they would throw them away for me. I said AT&T's own website says they recycle. I was again told my option was the trash. AT&T is apparently as unethical as it is incompetent. Copied from AT&T's own website... I have always had a good experience coming to this location. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I came here on a Saturday morning at approximately 11AM. When I entered I waited about 3 min for someone to add me to the waiting list. I was there to ask about a service change email I received. I hadn't made any changes to my account recently so I wanted to inquire. I sat down for about 15 minutes until it was my turn. I worked with Darryl who was very pleasant. He looked up my account and didn't see any changes. He assured me everything looked normal. He walked me out when we were done. read more

He messed up my account and I was charged for the previous plan I used to have and was going to be charged for my new plan. He never updated the info on my account so I was being charged for 2 plans when I only have 1. On top of that, he was extremely unhelpful and didn't seem like he even wanted to help me. My Fiance' Jeff Altman bought an I -Phone SE from this location. When it came in we were lucky enough to have Kelsie Armentrout, the store manager, available to help him. It was his first I-phone. She was so patient with him. She showed him how to operate the phone from "soup to nuts". She added all the APS that he wanted and showed him various functions that she thought he would need. She was very sweet and extremely knowledgable (as you would expect). We were very happy and appreciative with the excellent service that we received from Kelsie. She said she did the same for her dad, so she understood that he was new to this technology! read more

I just upgraded my phone and went to this store to do it. While not all of the employees give good customer service here as my friend I came with had a very bad experience with the guy she spoke with (he wouldn't even look her in the eyes), I received outstanding customer service from an employee named Dean. He was attentive, respectful, helpful, non pressuring, funny and quite a gentleman. He even stayed and sat with me until he was sure my new phone was set up properly with all my old data. He even walked me to the door when I left. My friend who had a bad experience with the employee she spoke with actually called later and made an appointment to come back and meet with Dean the next day. After her appointment with Dean, she confirmed another wonderful experience with excellent customer service with Dean. If you want to have a good experience at this store, ask for Dean! read more

My husband and I came in to upgrade our phones. The guy that helped us out said they have a promotion that if you change your phone number you can get a phone for half the price. I wasn't all for it cause I want to keep my number but my husband sucked it up and changed his number just so he can get half off his new upgraded phone. After we updated our phones... we bought new cases and screen protectors and went home. An hour after we got home, the guy that helped us had called me and said the he is sorry and gave us wrong information. The promotion that he had offered us is expired and the new promotion is you can get the same deal but you would have to get direct tv too. My husband and I have no desire to get direct tv. We haven't had cable in 3 years and don't ever want it. He said that we can either bring our new phones back or we can keep it and be charged full price for my husbands phone. This store has a "local policy" preventing a person eligible for an upgrade from getting a phone in the store, because I wanted to stay on my 2 year contract. I was told that "senior management approval" was required and it would take 3-5 business days, after the management recommended a new plan for me (which I indicated I did not want). If I want to stay on my current plan and am eligible to do so (calling AT&T confirmed this), this office (which is a corporate location) should not have a "local policy" to prevent me from getting the phone upgrade I'm eligible for in the store. I will not go back to this store again. I'm an 18 year AT&T customer and am shopping elsewhere now. read more

If Its possible to could give negative 5 stars I would. My simple trip to the AT&T store on capital Boulevard has turned into my biggest nightmare of the decade. I have been an AT&T customer since 2016 and I recently added Internet to my services In November 2019. I walked in to the AT&T store on capital Boulevard to inquire about my bill being high because I was quoted a combo price of $115 to bundle my Internet and cable bill. I was also prepared to pay all of my bills down to a zero balance at this visit. Only to find myself in a compromising position where my privacy has been compromised as well as my bills have been unified with a complete stranger. I receive notifications that my user ID has been changed to someone else's user ID and then also to find out that two iPhone 8's has been ordered under my account name. I inquired on that very day that I was in the store about this user ID name change and that the phone was ordered but the sales representative reassured me that there was no phone ordered and that I should report the email that have been changed because it could have been a mistake or someone could possibly hack into my account not realizing that the exact hacking and mistake happened right there in the store under my nose. I seriously worn the public not to allow any representative write down your pin code because my pin code had been on a sticky note past to about three different persons with my first and last name on that note. If it wasn't for intuition leading me to check my account on the following Monday I would've never known that AT&T allowed the unification with a stranger to add seven lines, 2 iPhone 8's as well as my information merging with this individual, leading it to be reported under the credit bureau. I was on the phone with customer service investigating this terrible news of me logging into my account to see that my privacy has been compromised and now I am responsible for someone else's phones,Internet and cable! What a disaster to deal with. My phone call with customer service had me on the phone for over five hours only to be chasing a rabbit that I can never grab. I contacted the fraud agency I've spoke with several departments asking and begging to a new unify my bill with this individual explaining my case that I don't even know who this person is.I ultimately called AT&T on capital to speak with the store manager and that they should call me being that this is an urgent matter. Anthony Porter is the store manager who has a nonchalant behavior on this matter. Instead of waiting for his call I decided to go to the store only to find out that he decided to take a lunch and had me waiting in the store for an hour and was never apologetic for this issue that transpired in his store. I am eight months pregnant dealing with this stress I have worked extremely hard to build my credit the way that it is and also to be disrespected in this matter and to deal with someone who has no sympathyOr tactfulness to solve this issue has been incredibly stressful. I have been the main investigator of this problem I'd try to reach out to Anthony Porter for one week and ultimately had to call Raleigh Police Department to get an answer on my case. They claim that there is a glitch in the system allowing the unification with my account along with this other person's account to happen. The issue is still doesn't have a resolution and it's going on to two weeks. I've called to reach out to the area Manager Shane Tucker who has yet to reach out to me. Trying to get in touch with corporate is very difficult. Everyone at AT&T is not on the same page nobody knows the difference between their head and their tail. I just really want a resolution to my case so that I'm no longer responsible for somebody else's phone. I'm really leaning towards canceling all of my services contacting a lawyer and going with another phone service that values me as a customer. I was invited to a special event to this store before it opened last week. While attending the event I won a brand new phone. While I was happy to win the phone it was quite bulky and I wanted to switch it out to a smaller model. The store refused to do so citing that the phone I won came from Corporate and they don't have that in their inventory. That is all fine and well but when I asked who I could contact in Corporate no one knew. I then contacted customer service who also had no clue how to contact Corporate. i basically got the run around for almost over an hour of my life! I'm sorry but if you work for a company and cite Corporate then you should be able to provide me with a number for someone to contact. On top of that I am a Verizon Wireless customer and I was actually considering changing my carrier since I won the phone and I am out of my contract. But the phone I won is large and therefore I asked to switch it out to a smaller model and then I would change carriers. You would think AT&T would want to do everything in their power to not only switch out a phone they gave me but gain me as a customer. Since the store, customer service, or so called "CORPORATE" wants to help me then I plan on selling this $600 phone online, taking the money and buying the SAME phone they could have switched out with on my current carrier VERIZON! Stopped by the AT&T store to look at what it would cost to add a smartphone-that was a big mistake. The saleswoman, named Bisan, tricked me into purchasing a security system and adding a smartphone by saying that I was paying too much for my internet and home phone. She said that if I unbundled those it would drop my price and I would even be able to add a security system. To make a long story short we purchased the AT&T Digital Life home security system-She lied about the monthly fee. She said it would be lower than what we were currently paying...not true. Seven days later my husband went online to check our bill and that's when we realized we were sold a lie. We called AT&T explained too them what Bisan told us and they said that was inaccurate information. We told AT&T we no longer wanted the security system. They came the following day and uninstalled the system.There is a 14 days buyers remorse period...Google AT&T Digital Life-terrible reviews.
