Came here on a Monday around 5:30 after work thinking I could just have them help me erase my phone and turn it in since I had the new phone. I had already been using it and i have been so busy was just one day shy of the deadline of the rebate. There was a few people ahead of me but I didn't mind and at the time there was only one person. Later a few minutes before they were supposed to close another employee came out! He told me that I was sharing cloud account with my family and the primary owner had to turn off the location. I couldn't see who i was sharing an account with and as far as I knew, I wasn't sharing. My parents were in China and older so they wouldn't be able to do this on their own so i was worried. He said i should call AT&T and ask for an extension but i was on hold for 30 minutes+ and never spoke to anyone. My sister suggested I talk to apple and they were able to virtually assist me in a matter of minutes. I went back the next day in the morning and another employee said that the steps needed to be completed were super easy and that it should have been taken care of yesterday. He said it was probably because they were about to close. Disappointing and frustrating to hear that i shouldn't have had to make a second trip and that this seems to be normal thing that happens. Not sure why I wasn't assisted properly when my situation was done in a few minutes. Poor service on the employee from my first trip but 5 stars to the employee on my second trip! read more

9-12-25 arrived 2:15. Hispanic dark skin male agent helped me reinstall Contacts thinking it was fixed. I asked him how did he fix it. He answered "it's magic". He ABRUPTLY went to the back room and never came back out for 25 minutes. He left me hanging. I tried it but I couldn't get into contacts. I had to wait for another female agent and she made it where I could retrieve the contacts. That Hispanic male agent was very unprofessional as he should've asked me to try it or asked if everything is okay. But he left me hanging. He needs to be talked to, totally unprofessional conduct unbecoming of an Agent to represent this company. On a side note another customer left waiting too long. No system taking in customers too. You can do better! If that lazy ass rep hadn't went on his break and spent 2 minutes to ensure I knew how to call up the contacts, I wouldn't have needed to spend 30 minutes at the store waiting for another agent to help me through the process which she did, luckily. This is unacceptable. He needs to be fired! read more

This is not about the AT&T store. This is about the abysmal customer service in general. Last Wednesday and AT&T utility truck blew through a red light and smashed my car. I have 6 witnesses and a video from another driver with a camera. I have spent hours/days trying to reach their claims department, file a claim, speak to a live person, get help.... lost in an automated nightmare... get through after hour of holds only to be dropped once I say what the issue is. I wish there was some recourse, but after days of thought, persistence and frustration - they have won the battle - which was exactly their goal. AT&T you are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I wish you a unsuccessful, unprofitable future and may what goes around come around for you one day. read more

I've been going to this att store since 2006. Never had a problem. Don't know what happened in that time frame but get ready to read this horror story. I had a pixel 2, 3 and half years old. Figured it was time for an upgrade. I made an appointment with att early in the morning cause I just wanted to get it done with. I told them what I want and they got it for me. They got me an iPhone 12 and I said cool, I'll pay in full. They said they didn't do that anymore, had to be monthly installments. After arguing about it for a couple mins, I said whatever, just bill me. I walked out with an iPhone 12. 2 days later, the phone stops working. It receives no service. I was so confused, I went back to att and they said it was an apple problem, something is wrong with the hardware, you need to go to apple to fix this. I go to apple, made an appointment with a genius and they ran a diagnostic, they said it was an att problem, you are going to have to go to them. I go back to att and they said it was an apple problem, there is nothing we can do. I go back to apple, told them about att and they said they will replace the phone. I got a new iPhone 12 and it only wasted 2 days of work..... The next day, I got the bill. The bill says there is 6 lines on my plan. Strange thing is I only have 5 family members on this plan. The bill has a new number added and this number has an iPhone 12 Pro with apple care. We go back to att, telling them to take off this phone line. They said only a manager can take it off, he will be in tomorrow and he will give you a call to confirm. The next day comes, no call..... We go back in and ask them, hey we didn't get a call, take this phone line off now. They told us the manager is in Vegas and will do that after the weekend on Monday. Now, here comes the craziest part, they are asking me to return this iPhone 12 Pro if you want the line off. I never got an iPhone 12 Pro. Please please, someone tell me what I need to do. read more

Preface: At&t is a crappy corporation that funds insurrectionists, over charges for services that should be available to everyone, and has a history of really bad business practices... this review is not about AT&T but instead about the workers at the Geary and Stanyan location. I had a long afternoon at this location last week trying to get a new phone and transfer all of my data from a dying phone. During this time I saw the staff juggle multiple clients while getting yelled at by some self-entitled jerk who came in with a really bad attitude, dealing with all kinds of questions from a constant influx people, and dealing with my stoneage-ass who has limited technological skills beyond using a bow and arrow. If you like being the only customer in a store where the 4 dudes working are actually watching movies on the big screen, and tell you to call customer service because they can't help you, this is the experience for you. After spending 30 minutes on the phone with customer service while standing in there store, customer service told me everything was resolved but the in-store employee said there was still something wrong with my account. He suggested the bill hadn't been paid (it had), then suggested I made a mistake with completing something on the website. My issue still isn't resolved after 4 trips to the store and 3 phone calls to customer service. One thing this store did sell me on is the value of choosing another cell phone carrier. read more

The service I received in the Geary AT&T Store was remarkable. I was helped by the manager and a handsome 19-year-old employee, who both demonstrated the upmost courtesy toward me. I went in to purchase a new phone, and I feel I scored a terrific price: free, I just paid the tax of $76.50. I really appreciated that when I expressed interest in trading in an iPhone 6 the manager/employee team helped me to understand that it could be useful as a temporary back-up phone should my current phone become unavailable for any reason. Not even a week later, their advice really help when a family member lost their phone! The manager/employee team were kind and personable, shared a bit of their 'real' lives outside of the AT&T Store, and invited me to share also. Worst experience ever. I came in to set up a new line after previously being in a contract with AT&T. I visited the AT&T store on Geary in SF, where an Asian lady assisted me. She had me input my information multiple times and took several pictures of my ID during the process. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, they finally informed me that their system was down, but only after I had given them my information over ten times. Despite the issues, they still made me pay for the service. Later on, I discovered they had entered random information, including incorrect emails and a PIN to access my phone. The service was incredibly unprofessional, and there was little to no selection offered during the process. To make matters worse, the value for what I paid was disappointing, given the chaotic experience and mistakes made. Overall, it was a frustrating and poor experience. read more

Went here thinking that it would be easier to upgrade my phone in person versus doing it online. I was wrong. The associate wouldn't even tell me if he had the phone in stock for 30-40 minutes, he kept trying to sell me on internet, then their TV plan, then an internet trial, then TV again, then business internet. The part I really didn't like...each time I would decline his upsell, him and another associate would go into the back to "check on inventory" and then he would come back out saying "we're still checking on inventory but would you be interested in __________". I probably said "I'm not interested, I am just here to upgrade my phone" 5 or 6 times. I was so put off by the whole thing that I just left w/o upgrading my phone. Totally understand he is just doing his job but it ended up being a waste of time for both of us. read more

Blessing at the AT&T store was awesome! I had a horrible issue with a stolen iPhone and no iOS would go higher on my old devices. Apple could not help me. Apple tried to make me wait a month and then another month to download any of my information on my phone. I went to the AT&T store and saw Blessing. Came into the store yesterday, Saturday at 2pm to get assistance setting up a new phone that AT&T mailed to me. Guess the old phone which is actually less than two years old will not work after February 2022. The guy sitting inside the store looked irritated as he was texting when I walked in and refused to help and he told me to call AT&T support. So I left and called them today. They went ahead and made me an appointment to get the new phone up and running at a different AT&T store. They also did tell me that the staff at 3555 Geary Blvd should have been able to do this for me easily. Worst customer service ever and it's a shame because I have been going to this particular store for over a decade. Working in customer service myself it was hard to believe the rudeness and I will definitely never set a foot in this shop again for any reason! read more

ALL BE WARNED!!! Walked into this store hoping for decent customer service, what I got was months of problems to date!!! As soon as anyone walks in the selling pitches start, I witnessed plenty as I had to return numerous days! If it was just selling pitches I wouldn't even mind, but this was the least of their mistakes! All I wanted was a simple phone upgrade, and WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION THEY ADDED A WHOLE NEW LINE to my account! They said the promotion I was signing up for was a "trade in ". It was not I got a $500 bill with an extra phone number!! I went back several times to the same Ass. manager who always told me "he's working on it" it's been 3 months now and I've had to call another office to fix! BEWARE! Ported my number over and the told me if I signed up as a business it would save me $. When I asked how much a single line business plan would cost they assured me it would be $60/ month.. same as individual plan. First bill arrives and I'm shocked to see they conveniently forgot to mention there was an additional per line access fee hidden in the fine print and that it would be more like $140. Called customer service and they agreed that they should not have pushed a business plan for my situation. Currently filing a complaint with corporate and attempting to get a refund. I have been here 3 times now helping others (I do not have ATT Wireless myself). All three times the person helping me was knowledgeable and helpful. The advice given was good and the issues were either resolved or I walked away with a clear idea of what to do next. The down side is that each time the wait was long. A T & T the firm has a well deserved reputation for poor customer service. We ended up at this store because the firm has clumsy and incomprehensible policies that are found few other places. That said, when we went into this particular location, Gladys took care of business. She took an issue that their Corporate help line could not understand and dealt with it. We had something that should have taken five minutes on the phone, if that. Instead, we were pulled into the store with handfuls of paperwork. Gladys was stuck dealing with a Corporate rep on a phone line, giving her official identification, explaining the simplest things over and over to the Corporate buffoon who couldn't get anything straight. We spent about an hour watching her patiently repeat things in increasingly simple terms a child could understand until it finally clicked for the Corporate rep. While it was completely maddening, and certainly was so for her, she didn't lose her grace or manner. Professional throughout. My opinion of A T & T hasn't changed. Please, for your sanity, use another carrier. If however, you are unfortunate enough to have A T & T as your carrier and you need help, go to Geary and Stanyan. Ask for Gladys. My girlfriend and I were trying to merge our AT&T accounts and the process seemed simple online. However, a couple steps in and we hit an error message that couldn't be surpassed. The customer service line that might have been able to help wasn't open, so we decided to try our chances at a store. From past personal and witnessed experiences, I was a little worried the visit was going to be excruciating. But I was pleasantly surprised to find great service, providing a quick and easy resolution to our problem. We were helped as soon as we walked in the door (just a half hour before closing) and were out of the store in no more than 15 minutes. On the rare occasions where I do need that in-person assistance, I will not hesitate to come back to the Geary location. read more

Warning: Don't come to this att store location. The people who work here are horrible and have no idea about customer service at all. They will do everything when they're trying to sell you stuff.
