Last Sunday, my wife lost her phone. We received the replacement device yesterday, and I immediately contacted AT&T customer service at 800-331-0500 to transfer her phone number (ending in 6262) to the new device. Unfortunately, the representative mistakenly transferred my number (ending in 9805) instead. This error occurred while I was en route to a colleague's 30-year retirement celebration, leaving me without service. After returning home to connect to Wi-Fi and speaking with customer service a second time, the representative confirmed the mistake and recommended that I visit a local AT&T store for assistance. I called the San Leandro store around 7:00 PM to inquire about wait times and was advised that no appointment was necessary. Upon arrival, Ms. Christina Weng assisted me immediately. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and efficiency, resolving the issue and restoring service to both phones in less than 20 minutes. Her outstanding support completely turned around a very frustrating experience. Ms. Weng truly deserves high recognition--potentially a raise--for her excellent performance. I would give her the highest possible rating. For other customers, I recommend calling the store ahead of time or scheduling an appointment before visiting. read more

CHRIS is a LIAR! After running through all the other hoops that AT&T lies about how you can return new purchases we went to this store and a seemingly nice guy named Chris (at least that's what his name tag said) told us he couldn't provide a shipping label, but if we came back the next morning at 10 he would, "take care of us." I checked in on the ipad, like everything else does which help first come first serve with put your name on the screen. This is great way of tracking customers that are waiting. But here is what i think needs some improvement as a customer view. I think that having four customers on the board waiting for a period of time and waiting and waiting for the name to be called is way too long. I think you should have more available employees so that the waiting is not horrendous specially like me that i just want to drop off a phone. Zero stars. I had to tell the sales guy NO a very firm FIVE TIMES trying to sell me fiber internet when I was there to trade in my phone. He kept just talking over me when I was so clear to say NO. Extremely pushy and gross and disrespectful. Maybe they wouldn't have a two hour wait for walk-in assistance if they didn't spend so much time trying to up-sell people? I had made an appointment online and it meant theoretically the next available service rep could help me, but instead the salesguy kept asking people on the walk-in waitlist who they were until I chased him down saying I had an appointment and was next. Long story short , i been going back and forth with AT&T Customer service due to trade in issues and customer service finally got to the bottom of the issue and they just wanted me to go into a store to show a manager to verify that i did trade in my phone . Customer service rep gave CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS and told me once i get to the store to tell whoever helps me to read all the notes on my account to get this done. So i came to this At&t store and a guy named MARLON assisted me, and he would not listen, was already rude, told him that i already spoke to customer service and all they need you to do is to review the notes on my account because they gave clear instructions on what to do to solve this. Marlon kept refusing , didnt wanna listen, i even said "well what does it say on the notes" and all he kept saying was saying was nope. Like how are you this upset and bitchy when you guys JUST opened lol i came right in the morning FYI. Decided to leave and visit the store in union city . KEITH is the goat and that's all you need to take away from this review. About a year a ago, I left my family's AT&T plan and joined FirstNet because it was cheaper and better. Porting my number to AT&T was a nightmare, not because of the employees here, because there was some issue with my number that wasn't allowing them to transfer things over. It took two trips to AT&T but Keith was patient and eventually resolved everything. Yesterday, I returned because I wanted to add a tablet to my existing plan and update my FirstNet sim card. Keith helped me out again, great. However, FirstNet employees on the phone were unaware about the $20/mo tablet add-on offered by.......FirstNet. Unfortunately, FirstNet would not honor said deal and required that I pay $40/mo for the tablet. This is not Keith's or AT&T's fault. I'm 0 for 2 when dealing with FirstNet. Their terrible customer service made me want to switch back to AT&T consumer plan. However, Keith advised I stay on FirstNet because it's still overall cheaper and better despite their customer service. I've always had a good experience every time I come here. A lot of people on this Yelp page complain about lack of service, long lines, and what not but don't understand that it can be a lengthy process and takes time to do things the right way. There's only so many employees available to help out. Simply doing things like calling ahead of time with your questions or coming early in the morning could avoid a lot of headaches. Stopped into the store today to pick up a new phone. Made an appointment for first thing this morning. They opened their doors relatively on time. Approached by a very nice staff member who identified himself and asked how he could help. The ONLY reason I didn't rate them 5 stars is because I spent twice as long in the store than I wanted to. Granted, it wasnt his fault and he kept apologizing - for someone who may be looking to spend 30 mins and its longer than an hour - it may try your patience a bit. I've been coming to this store for all our phones. It's convenient but customer service is good overall. I feel compelled to write this review as today the service was top notch. I was having data issues with my phone this week and knew a trade in would cost me $500. I went to t mobile and Verizon just to weigh my options. Finally went to ATT as I knew I had no other choice besides upgrade my phone. When I went in, gabby helped me out. She was very pleasant and started troubleshooting my phone. It took about 30 mins but she was able to address the SIM card issue. I couldn't be more happier as she saved me $500. Just finished getting help from there. I have my service through FirstNet, but they're partnered with AT&T. As soon as we walked in, their manager Gabriel greeted us and asked what we needed help with. Yani helped us pretty quickly. There were plenty of staff to help other customers as well. Unfortunately had a bad experience here. The sales clerk signed us up for three new phone lines and stated a certain amount that was going to be due. We agreed and moved forward with the transaction. Then this month my bill was three times that amount. When I went to go ask what happened he said it was the first bills month of extras and other bs. Why then not tell us that when we were finalizing the accounts. It would have been nice to know ahead of time instead of breaking my bank account the first few months. Makes no sense. Bad customer service. I came to get a SIM card and ended up getting scammed by the manager by opening a second account without telling me. Tried to return a watch that they claimed part of the promotion but they turned us away because it was over 2 weeks. I also asked to get my wife's phone check because wifi wasn't working but the guy wasn't too helpful. ( I guess no sale no commission) When we called the loyalty dept, they said for us to go back and tell them about buyer's remorse and if it's within 30 days they can take anything back, no questions asked !!! Sure enough we came back the next day- told them BUYER'S REMORSE - they took it back. I'm sure they're aware of what's going on in the store. We are already paying a lot and as a loyal customer, this store should at least treat as with respect and with compassion after what their other other colleague did to us. And then waited about 60minutes, the guy that assisted me said I have to call. They just know they couldn't cancel it why put my name down? My experience has been horrible with AT&T in general. This is based on ATT internet and Uverse account holders. This location reflects the same outcome of bad business practices. They refuse to answer the phone and will just hang-up or disconnect all incoming calls. This is not a good business model. I feel this ATT preys on the senior community. This company makes it almost impossible to close account and/or change serviced to less costly services that are supposedly readily available. Once your contract is up your account will default to the highest rack rates they offer on purpose if you do not update at the end of contract. Often seniors are not knowlegdeable how to navigate through their website. They make it extremely difficult and confusing to adjust plans or close account. Security access to account is impossible if you don't have a 4 digit pin. I warn all account holders hat have senior parents to be cautious with ATT. I hope in the near future that they will do a class action lawsuit against this predatory practice. I will never do business with any ATT service ever again. Customers be warned! read more

Ugh, such a bad experience. I have sent notes to the Better Business Bureau and to the attorney general. Clearly AT&T makes promises to sign you up but hopes you forget. I was promised four things when I signed up for an AT&T bundle with phone, wireless and TV: - Activation fee waived for wireless. I was charged a fee and had to contact AT&T several times to have the charge reversed. - Activation fee waived for Uverse. I was charged a fee and had to contract AT&T several times to have the charge reversed. - $300 rebate for signing up for a bundle. I have received $100 rebate. I have contacted AT&T several times to have this fixed and promised several times that it would be fixed, but I still have not received the remainder of the rebate - 50% off my phone purchase via credit for my installment plan. I was told this would continue through the three years of my plan even if I cancel Uverse after 12 months. I am receiving the credit but based on my experience with the other issues I fear the credit will end if I cancel Uverse service before 12 months. read more
