There are approximately two competent workers on staff willing to help anyone, those individuals are named Tye and Vance everyone else including management are incompetent and inconsiderate. This is the most poorly managed corporate facility that I have ever had the displeasure of being at. I don't understand the low rating here in Yelp. I have spent quite a significant amount of time over the last two days in this store upgrading my devices and getting accessories. Every single employee is helpful, funny and efficient. I specifically had Tyler helping me. He was knowledgable and pleasant. I came in on Tuesday afternoon, August 8 to see if they could help me understand what's going on with my new account. I had just started the switching process from T-Mobile to AT&T, signed up on July 26th, and already had the new phones shipped by early August, and my switch of two lines went well, but I had another two lines to switch for my girlfriend. Because her phones hadn't been switched within some time frame perhaps a week, the remaining two phones did not show up on My AT&T app. The attendant and the store manager at this Sanford location were very polite and professional overall, and I explained my situation, and they were puzzled as to why only my two ported and activated phones showed up, but eventually they managed to locate the other two lines being used by my girlfriend with T-Mobile. So they issued out new SIM cards, but they caused terrible hardship, certainly unintentionally. But this needs to be pointed out as a sort of malpractice. They activated a SIM card corresponding to my girlfriend's line; remember, she's 40 minutes away using her T-Mobile phone. I thought I made it clear to them that the new AT&T phone was left with my girlfriend and therefore I would not be available to make the physical change of SIM cards. She was still using her old phone. I was planning on doing the switch another time but I would have to bring the AT&T SIM card to her the following day. Perhaps I didn't make that clear to them. The activation of a SIM card without having a phone on hand is the cause of the hardship. I would call that malpractice. Imagine my girlfriend suddenly not having service and not being able to contact anyone. She needs to have phone service as she's taking care of a loved one in assisted living and also has to make and receive calls from doctors and caretakers caring for her loved one, not to mention no way of contacting me. Remember I was given an activated SIM card with the phone that it needs to go to 40 minutes away, and no way for me to know that my friend who has the new AT&T phone without that SIM card and the old phone that was working well with T-Mobile and was going to be switched over to her new AT&T phone. But imagine suddenly the old T-Mobile phone not working. This sudden lack of service was life-threatening. She had no choice but to drive over to the nearest cellular store to buy service. The service she got with T-Mobile is under a contract that requires that she pay for three months. I met with her two days later to insert her AT&T SIM card in her new phone that I didn't have with me. So she's got her old phone but with a different phone number, and her new phone with her number. I was wondering how this store will make amends. read more

Since I'm unable to locate the corporate center, I hope this reached accordingly to right audience. I've been a customer for years now and a year ago I left an apartment who mandated me to get a box with at&t (never used it). I shipped everything back accordingly and have receipts which this happened back in April of 2018. I moved out of apartments and got a house only to find out I had a collections account which Ed charged off over equipment that was already returned. I just spent 2 hours with agents from all over the world trying to fix my issue and I had to repeat myself each time. Of course the compensation I was spoken about never even happened. read more

I would give my experience zero stars if I could. In August 2023- I purchased a new case and an AT&T Screen protector with a lifetime warranty. I had already purchased a ZAGG screen protector for the same phone in 2022 with the same warranty, but they convinced me the ATT version was better when I was buying the new case since I didn't have to mail in for a replacement and pay the shipping fee attached going forward because I could replace it anytime at the store without a receipt because they would always have a record of it. Sounded like a no-brainer, super convenient and worth the reinvestment price of a new screen protector. Today I go in to get my replacement, and they informed me that it was actually a ZAGG I purchased according to the receipt, and that I would have to mail away for the replacement. Complete and utter BS. I wouldn't have purchased another ZAGG because I already had a lifetime warranty on my previous ZAGG which was a hassle because of the mail in replacement policy was the reason I switched to the AT&T screen product. I watched them take it out of the AT&T box and put it on when I purchased in August so I know it was the AT&T screen protector. Complete waste of money, my time and the last time I will ever stop at that store. read more

Had an okay experience in the store. After a horrid telephone customer service experience that went on for two days I was told I needed to go into the retail store to activate a phone. It was fine but I could tell the staff in the store didn't want to hear my sob story about the terrible phone customer service. When I brought up the issues they changed the subject. The store assistant manager had nothing to say when I called him neither about how my son was treated when he went to pick up a new phone ordered online. A process that should be simple and painless. I'd give it one star if I could. I bought a Mophie adjustable wireless charging stand yesterday at the Deltona AT&T store, but when I plugged it in today at work, it didn't work properly. I left work an hour early today to return it and have it replaced, but the Deltona store didn't have one so they sent me to this, the Sanford location. The rep I dealt with was polite and friendly, but he at first couldn't process my exchange for the stand at all because I bought 3 accessories at the same time, netting me a discount for the items. He said he'd have to replicate my cart to attempt an exchange- not my problem, but ok. I understand some systems are weird and don't work the way we'd like, and that's not his fault. He does some stuff on his tablet, and lets me know "I need 78¢ from you," stating something about different taxes in different counties. ... naw, fam. I left work early, lost money. I drove back to Deltona, even though I'm staying the night in Sanford. That's a 40 minute round-trip waste of time, since you didn't have my replacement in the store I bought it from. All in all, I've effectively spent $30 in time away from work and gas to exchange a product that I bought from AT&T that does not work . This isn't his fault, but it sure isn't mine either. I've now spent a bunch of extra time, lost some money and burned some gas to correct a problem that I didn't cause, and you want me to spend MORE money to fix it? Horrible customer service. Managers Dion and Rean are unprofessional and untrained to handle upset customers. Specifically advised them it is nothing personal but on going issue I've been having with AT&T since November. And I thought I would get some help going into a local store. Rean was unfocused while interacting with me and I advised her. They automatically thought I was yelling when I specifically told them I am loud because of the ongoing issue. Dion a store manager told me to get out because Rean walked away upset and was blaming me because I set her friend. And I am paying customer for over 15 years. This evening I was helped (well hurt)by an employee (Donald) So I called and started an account on the phone with AT&T earlier this afternoon, but it would be Tuesday or so before I got my new phone and I couldn't hear on mine. So he told me I could go to the store and get my phone and be would call me back and I would finish the order. This was a business account I was starting. I bringing over 8 lines. I was told on the phone with the business Dept that I was approved, no deposits and no down payment for my phones. Well when I get to the store to get 3 lines I was bringing over to start, the employee DONALD the black guy, was not listing to what I told him. I already had an account number, approval, everting. I have him my account number and then he started asking for paperwork. I gave him the paperwork and then he started trying to re run my application. I told him not to. The guy I told yo on the phone that already ran my application and verified everything said not to let them do that because the down payments would skyrocket. DONALD keeps going to the back room and coming out and going back there and coming out. Then hands me the phone with credit. He's trying to put my social security number on even though it's s business account. What he was doing was running my application again. So he does exactly what he shouldn't have done either out of ignorance by not knowing knowing how to do his job, or for some other self motivated reason. When it's all done when I only had to pay taxes on the phones when I walked in, now I had to pay $500 down per line. WTF? I'm thinking it's because he gets more of a better commission when you have to pay more io front on the phone. Especially on the Buy one Get one deal. Because even though the phone is free, if there's a down payment you still have to pay the down payment. So that's loosing $500 per phone. He also told me that he could only port one number at a time, even though they were on the same account. Now he said he's been working there a while. So he's either a really bad and stupid employee or he did some fishy stuff with my account. These employees are messing with credit. So they ran my credit twice tonight. Which is not good for my credit. So I will also be filing a complaint with whom ever I can. Before DONALD just wasted a lot of my time and ruined my whole plan I spent the day working on. And no new IPhone 11 for me. So I just wanted people to know. If you want to actually be able to take advantage of the BOGO, do not go to that store. Like I said, I can't get a free phone if I'm paying $500 up front for it. So because of improperly trained employees, my night is ruined and I'm angry and I wasted a lot of time. Also while I was in there watching people (which I had a lot of time to do), everyone was rubbing around asking everyone else what to do! Lol. No one in there has a clue what they are doing. I went to the AT&T store in Sanford looking to get an iPhone X, wanted to be sold. The lady was underwhelming and I walked out without buying that day but returned a week later and was greeted by Marcus. I walked out of there with the iPhone X, a new iPad with service, an iPhone 8 for my daughter and new cable and internet service at my home. Yes, I'm one of those people who want to be sold on something before I buy it. Marcus answered all my questions in a matter of fact way, (NO Pressure whatsoever) and I was extremely happy. Then, I waited for the ball to drop, the surprises to disappoint me, the hidden fees...Marcus was transparent about how the whole process would go and on the day of the install he sent a text letting me know if I needed anything to let him know, and his manager Reann also sent a text. The installer, Zach, had part of the order missing. Within 2 minutes, Marcus talked to Zach and all was set. I don't know what was said or what happened, but what I can say is that I love our new TV service, I have more channels for less money and am extremely happy with the customer service and all the products. I'm finding it hard to believe these corporate employees have the empowerment to go above and beyond and deliver exceptional customer service. Last comment here, I went during a slower time, I believe the negative reviews are a result of huge frustrations on busier times/days & also a couple of the reviews are pretty old. AT&T in Sanford should encourage reviews because most happy people wouldn't even think to review a phone store. Poor customer service. Tell the MANAGER and the staff to stay off their Instagram and Facebook when customers need assistance. I was embarrassed for the company. One struggling associate was attempting to help me (totally clueless) and when he has the 3 others for help (one was clearly the supervisor and 1 clearly was the manager) they never looked up from their phones. We came to bring our 5 lines over from Verizon and switch to their internet. We sat for 3 hours while the representative messed up the transfers 3 times. The manager sat and played on his cell phone. The store closed at 7pm and they decided to tell us after 3 hours there was a "glitch" in the system which was untrue they merely wanted to go home. I've given them time to get better but today's experience pushes me towards this review. Before I start I'm aware that most mobile carriers do not score well on customer service or value no matter what the company. That said the performance of this company and this store in particular warrants special attention. We've been with AT&T for six years after a disastrous 2 year stint with Sprint. Sprint was cheap but I couldn't pull a signal inside any building no matter what it was made of. AT&T drew us to them 6 years ago because they were the only carrier of the iPhone at that time. We knew Verizon and T-Mobile beat them in customer satisfaction in this region but we foolishly wanted iPhones. We've since moved on to Android and except for our carrier we've never looked back This debacle started in December. We wished to add the kids onto the plan and switch from me being the primary to my wife because she gets a discount through her company. We had been grandfathered into the old unlimited data plan but that would drop off with the switch. Neither of us were happy with this but onward we plowed. This whole transfer was rough. The kids phones took three days to fully function, our phones suddenly had connection issues and worst of all the lady who helped us completely screwed up our plan and we went from averaging $180-210 a month to a $487 bill at the end of January! We were crystal clear what we wanted and what we were able to pay! So the beginning of February I go in with the bill and my phone which has suddenly started freezing and restarting for no reason. They install a new SIM card and after 45 minutes of continuous restarts my phone is working again. This young lady seemed more interested in helping me than the others but she was unable to help me with the bill. For some stupid reason the customer has to call AT&T customer care to get anything resolved! WTF! Why would a company this big create asinine barriers to customer satisfaction?! So after 35 minutes on the phone they credit our account and things work fine until the next Friday when my phone goes full "brick". I'm ready for an upgrade so that's what I do. Galaxy S3. Very nice phone....so far. Fast forward to today. My wife wakes up to a message on her HTC screen to download an update. This message is from AT&T. So she starts the download and it freezes. Nice. She gets it restarted and plugs in the USB to do a full update. 30 minutes of download later it turns on but won't text, half the widgets don't work and other glitches. So I take it into this store where we bought it in the first place. So "tech" guy looks at the phone for 2 minutes and says we have to do a full factory wipe and even then it might not work. In fact she may not be able to back it up at this point to pull all the needed data off. Nice! So I'm a little miffed. When I ask about our options he states it's out of warranty and not insured. To which I respond that it was his company's prompt that caused the problem! She didn't download anything from third party or side load anything! She did exactly what the actual carrier told her to do and now her phone might be trashed. His response was dumbfounding! How the hell does responsibility lie on the customer when the customer did exactly what AT&T told her to do and now the phone's a brick!?!?!? He didn't even say sorry! He acted like it was a privilege for me to be an AT&T customer! That's it! When this contract is out they are gone! Hell it might be worth paying the cancellation fee to drop this joke of a company. read more

This place is awful. I went to add a line to my mobile account. They were uninterested in doing so because as i learned later their reps dont get paid a comission. They blew me off and told me FCC rules wouldnt allow them to do it. The second time i went to get a new sim card, same problem. They were only interested in selling me a contract. They should fire the idiot Kevin. Everything he told me wasn't true. He should be a business school case study on how to chase customers away. I went to ATT store on Lake Mary Blvd. They welcomed me, said no problems. I walked out with an added line with no trouble and replaced my Simm with no headaches. This store is the worst. I have been with ATT for my cell phone over a decade and this store and their horrible employees single handedly made my wife and me decide to end our ties with ATT for not only both our cell phones, but also our land line, cable, and internet. They told me they could add my wife's phone line to my plan which forced me out of my grandfathered plan with unlimited data. However, after 4 full hours and multiple trips back to the store, they couldn't transfer my wife's phone to my plan and just said they don't know why but I'm out of luck. I tried to get my old plan back and they said too bad. They told me so many things that turned out to be wrong, they were very incompetent, rude, unprofessional, and could care less about losing customers...so we obliged them. That store and most of their employees, especially their manager, are just God awful...avoid them by all costs! read more

My wireless is great. The U-verse is a nightmare very slow and always freezing up. Do yourself a favor and do not switch because a year contract is a long time to pay and have crappy reception and very slow internet. Brighthouse is really awful but U-verse is miserable read more

I went to this location after being referred by 800 customer service to return tablet...now I am speaking with John Lamp...who made sure I knew he has been with ATT 20 years...still on retail floor there is a success story! He was no help and told me again and again to call 800 service and they could help me...neither he or ATT could care less...this tablet was sent to us fraudulently and alas I will probably end up paying for it! Horrible customer service, when the sales rep realized that he wasnt getting a high dollar sale, he told us to go to walmart then walked us to the door to exit, i could tell he was ready help another customer for his "commision" We have a plan with them and they told me i couldnt switch my sim card to a new phone, and that the phone i had didnt have one. Recently I had the worst experience as a first time customer with At&t. I work from home so my Internet is everything for me. I called them and was told a technician would be at my home on Thursday for the installation. The technician comes and tells me that there was a damaged line and the job would take an additional day which I was OK with so I called out of work for the next day. Friday comes, no technician or anyone shows up. Saturday comes so I decide to call and told that no on can come today and that I would have to wait until next week Wednesday for an appointment before someone could fix the issue. Wednesday comes no technician shows from 9-11and am now told it won't be resolved until the following week on Monday. This company has put my job at risk and has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. And as an update there is still a hole outside of my house and now their customer support team wants to call me after I told them they can pick up their equipment since I'll be going with another provider who can get the job done in a day. Usually great experiences. However, we went recently and the man who was our cellular assistant had no interest in helping us. My father, who was getting an upgrade, knew little about plans, contracts, etc. and the man had no interest in explaining what each service was and would not help in answering questions of ours. For example, he would not tell my father why his bill would go up, etc. Our assistant Tito I believe his name was had no interest in helping. The man who signed us in was very warm and friendly and that is why I give two stars. We always love going to AT&T because the service is so nice, however this time I was extremely disappointed and was appalled by the service. We will try Orange City, FL because they have always had great service as well.
