I went inside the store yesterday temperature nearing 100 degrees hot! Looked inside, I saw one customer service person and one customer inside. A sign was placed outside the door, WAIT HERE"... of some sort. I was was puzzled... are we still in COVID mode? As I was about to leave the rep appeared angry and opened the door; allowing the door to close in my face. She did not say a word, (no greeting) turned and walked away and continued to assist the customer at a table. I waited a few minutes and asked was she alone? She rudely said YES! ...rolled her eyes and said, I'll help you when I am through with this customer. I waited over 25 minutes and two additional customers were allowed to enter the store. I noticed the change in her demeanor as she greeted these two. I wait an additional 15 minutes, when she finally lifted her head to look at me, to rudely asked me what I needed, while still assisting the first customer. She reluctantly got out of her chair and flick through my phone's settings...lying. I know some things about the phone's settings. I knew that she was lying just to get me out the store. So, I didn't bother to ask any questions. I plan to report this independent store to Verizon Corp because I felt that I was treated differently than the other customers that entered into the store. I know good help is hard to find but treating certain customers in this manner is unacceptable. read more

If I could use 0 stars, I would. I won't mention a name, but we were pressure sold on upgrades and assured the new phones would be available within a week. Nope. Several other issues. The store had just opened, and nothing was on the shelves, etc. We were given erroneous and incomplete information. After we canceled the order, they placed a 24-hour lock on our account. We will now only do business with Verizon corporate stores, not with Authorized Retailers or affiliates. read more

My husband and I went to Russell Cellular after seeing an advertisement for a "free" cell phone, tablet, and watch with a new Verizon plan. I already had a family plan with Verizon so we decided that he would join our plan and take advantage of this offer. Unfortunately we were not told that these items were not actually free. Each item would have a separate paid plan that we would have to pay on for three years. We were also not told that the phone plan was $12 a month more than the current lines on the family plan. Had we known that, my husband would not have switched to our family plan. We were told at Russel Cellular that we needed to pay the tax only on the three devises. Once we got home and told family about the great deal we got, we were informed of the truth of this "deal". We immediately contacted Verizon to cancel these unwanted plans. We contacted the Verizon store and cancelled the watch order and returned the tablet. We specifically asked about the tax and were told the tax would be returned to our card. The tax was never returned like they said it would be, so my husband disputed the charge. Unfortunately the Verizon store is refusing to return the tax on the watch that we never received and the tablet that we returned the next business day after we received it. I also recently noticed a "$40 Setup For Success" charge. This was never disclosed to us at the store. We are extremely disappointed with Russell Cellular's lack of transparency and subsequent refusal to right their wrongs. read more

First of all I thought it was a Verizon store since there is no sign of Russel Wireless. Even the employees wear Verizon shirts. I paid $815.00 for a new phone in which had to go with a new plan and I was told the $815.00 would be credited to my Verizon account. Well that has not happened since Verizon has been charging me monthly for the phone and its going on 10 months. Kept going in the store and kept getting the run around. Apparently they did not submit the paperwork correctly. Also Verizon told me they should have not charged me for the phone to begin with since I traded in my old phone. Bottom line is they took my money for the phone and still let Verizon charge me for the same phone. Due to their lack of business and care for customers have done nothing and should have been refunded if not credited to my Verizon account. I was scammed!!!! read more

This place is a joke. I was told I had 30 days to return a new phone. I got the Z Fold. It was junk! Do not get. Then we tried returning to the store and they told us we can't. Have to call Verizon. Called Verizon and they told us we had to go back to the store. Go back to the store and they say we have to go to corporate in Champaign, IL. Then corporate told us that the Russell store is private and we can't they can't take. It now we just tried to return back at the Russell store and how convenient for them we're past 30 days. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM oh and on top of it they added another line to our account that we never authorized. Pathetic and unwilling to help. Absolutely amazing customer service from everyone! The most honest people you'll ever meet! My husband and I decided to finally give in and get our teen a phone, we both have Verizon but wanted to do something cheap and basic for him since this is a starter phone for him. We shopped around several of the pre pay companies we hear on tv and decided all where about the same so before making a final decision decided to go in to this Verizon store just to check out the difference of how much more we would pay. I'm so glad we did! Not only are we saving for my son's plan but we are saving overall as a family. We got an amazing deal for his phone and I also decided to upgrade my phone and got an awesome deal with that also. All this while receiving amazing customer service. Today I needed help downloading info from my existing phone (Verizon sent a new one since I was having issues- was under warranty).
