WARNING: Avoid TCC at All Costs TCC may look like a Verizon store, but it's only an authorized retailer and our experience shows why that matters. Our family's nearly six-month ordeal was caused by the dishonesty, misinformation, and incompetence of Stephany R., a TCC sales representative, and her supervisor Jonathan. Her conduct was unacceptable: false claims that protection plans were mandatory, hidden fees, inconsistent explanations about trade-ins, arrogance, and rudeness when we questioned unnecessary add-ons. She refused to give supervisor contact info, offered empty reassurances instead of solutions, and left us to clean up the mess with Verizon corporate. 1. The Visit -- June 6 After 23 years as Verizon customers, we visited TCC to upgrade four iPhone 13s to iPhone 16s. Verizon confirmed all lines qualified for free upgrades with trade-ins. Stephany verified this but nothing went smoothly: -Protection Plan Pressure: She falsely insisted we had to buy protection plans to get the trade-in credit. Verizon later confirmed it was optional. -Hidden $30 Data-Transfer Fee: She tried to charge $30 per device without warning, even though her attempts repeatedly failed. -Incorrect Trade-In Documentation: Old phones were traded in as promised, yet receipts didn't reflect the credits. Stephany claimed she would "submit corrections," triggering weeks of vague excuses. 2. Weeks of Excuses -Stephany repeatedly left voicemails claiming she needed to "re-review" our account. A month later, she said the promotion was "actually for Google phones, not iPhones"--despite the iPhone promotion being visible on our Verizon account before we ever walked in. --She took no responsibility, claiming there was nothing she could do to fix the trade-in promotion "mistake." She refused to provide supervisor contact information and promised calls from the regional director, Jonathan, that never came. TCC was a dead end. 3. Verizon Corporate -- 12+ Hours of Calls We escalated to Verizon: July 8 - Tatum: Claimed he submitted corrections. They weren't reflected on our next bill. Aug 21 - Eric: Only one line was corrected. Oct 10 - Ellen: Promised remaining lines would be fixed. They weren't. Nov 7 - Supervisor Pamela: Finally promised an overpayment credit and adjustments to honor all trade-in promotions. The credit appeared on Nov. 19; trade-in adjustments are expected to come on our next December bill. All of this was time spent fixing errors created entirely by TCC. 4. Final Thoughts TCC claims to value authenticity and customer care. Our experience was the opposite. From misinformation to hidden fees, botched trade-ins, and zero accountability, Stephany R. and the Glenview branch failed completely. If you want real Verizon service, go to a corporate store or complete transactions online. Don't waste months dealing with TCC. Save yourself the stress. Steer clear. read more

This was not a good experience. I stopped in there during the Glenview Art Fair because my wifi from another carrier was discontinued. The young woman who apparently was there by herself was on her cell phone at the time and asked me to wait. I assume that was not with a customer. I have a Verizon cell phone and wanted wifi. Getting information from her was like pulling teeth. I asked if there was a discount if I had a Verizon cellphone. "It's $45." It took some questioning to find out that it's more if you don't have a cellphone. I asked for a demonstration. Every question seemed to frustrate her. I didn't have the phone with me so I left. A young family came in and you wouldn't believe the change in her demeanor. What was that comment from 2024 about ageism.....wow. I'm going to another store. Update: And I did. I don't usually write negative reviews as I like to uplift people when I get good service, but today I probably got my worst service experience of my life. My wife and I went to buy two phones, and I tried to explain to the lady what we wanted and she got very upset with us and raised her voice more than once. She also seemed irritated to come and serve us. We did not buy the phones, and definitely never going back. She should get some classes on how to talk to customers. I'm a Verizon customer. When I bought a new phone and transferred data (at a Dixon , Il store) my Comcast email did not transfer. They did not know how to help. So as a consumer, I went to the Glenview store. Neither the salesman nor the manager could help. And I had to listen to an ageism comment: "I help my parents with these things all the time." Then proceeded to attempt a new contract with the promise of a new phone for my wife. I eventually figured out what to do myself through exploration. So, I'm not going to share the method here, but warn all Comcast's email customers that this may happen and at least two Verizon stores did not know how to solve this problem. read more

Absolutely the worst. By the way they are not a real Verizon store they are a subsidiary. I had to order a new phone for my daughter was supposed to take two business days after 10 business days they couldn't track the phone but said I couldn't cancel the order until the phone came in. Four weeks later yes four weeks still nothing and they said they refunded me they didn't I had to go through my credit card company. Now seven weeks later I went to the store on Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook which is a Verizon store actually and guess what I got my phone in an hour! My daughter can pick hers up from one downtown. No one ever told us this at the other store even when I had gone in at least 4 times in person trying to resolve the issue. They don't care don't go there!!!!!! If you read the other reviews please look at the dates obviously there was a change over at least a year ago. read more

This store is not a Verizon store, and it is not immediately clear. I took my elderly mother there to purchase a new phone. The phone had to be ordered and I was not able to go with my mother in law to pick it up. She picked up the phone from the same agent who sold us the phone. And my mother in law ended up coming home with over $100 of charges on her credit card for phone insurance, and new charger, and a fee to transfer her contacts. They did not disclose that she could transfer the contacts for free at a Verizon corporate store. And I had specifically told the agent there not to try to sell my mother in law anything else but the cost of the phone. They took advantage of an elderly person confused by the process. I would not use this store, please only go to corporate stores. read more

My phone had been acting up. Wouldn't recognize charger. I tried fixing the issue, but could not. I walked in at 6pm on a Wednesday and me with Adrian. He is extremely knowledgeable and spent over 1 hour trying to fix my phone. When he couldn't fix it, he arranged for me to get a replacement with Verizon. I am very appreciative of his dedicated and taking care of the nuisances with coordinating with Verizon. New phone works! Bottom Line: Excellent, dedicated customer service. read more

The website said it was open until 8PM. Arrived at the store at 7:27. The door was locked and a posted sign said "Back in 10 Minutes" There was a clerk at the desk waiting on 2 people. My friend and I waited patiently at the door until they were on their way out a few minutes later. I held the door for them and attempted to go in at which time the clerk blocked our way and said, we're closed. "It's only 7:32 and your website said 8 PM." "It's not my website, and I have to go to a private affair. We're closed." "You can take 5 min to answer a quick question since you saw us here waiting." "No I'm leaving, and you're going to leave or I'll call the cops." I attempted to call the manager to report this rude and insolent behavior and the store mailbox was full -- so apparently this clerk had not checked messages all day. I did call and report this at the national corporate headquarters. This is an Authorized Verizon Retailer that perhaps should not be authorized or at the very least this worker disciplined. I cannot imagine how many sales are being lost by this store or this company if this is the type of "customer service" that is permitted to represent your brand. read more

This location is so helpful. Even tho they are not Verizon 'corporate,' they have never told me they cant do something that another store can. Jake is great at being a detailed and patient-- going over every aspect of my contract with me, and taking the time to teach my elderly grandma how to use her ipad.... The customer service at this location is outstanding. Typically, I visit a corporate store at upgrade time and expect a long wait and rushed service. But this Glenview location is an untapped resource. Twice, I've walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was the only one in the store...was immediately greeted and taken care of. Michael H. was friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain phone features, package features, the changes in my billing and things to keep in mind going forward...along with sharing any specials Verizon was offering. 25 minutes later I was out the door, a very happy customer. I heartily recommend this store and the staff...even though it may mean I'll have to wait my turn because of their increased business. read more

I would give zero stars except that is not an option. After waiting over an hour while two sales people waited on only one customer each I complained about the wait. Adrian, who claimed to be the manager, started lecturing me about my attitude, and told me that if I did not stop complaining he would ask me to leave. No problem, Adrian. I left. This was the worst customer service I've had my entire life! The manager I believe..or he was the sales guy was so rude when he was explaining the phone plans available. He was not patient and very rude when I asked him how the "credits" worked if I bought my iphone through them vs. through the Apple iphone Upgrade Program. I changed the subject and just asked if they had any brochures available at hand so I could really research what I wanted to do. He explained in a sarcastic tone, that everything is digital these days. I'm apart of the millennial generation....but i still wanted to ask if there were physical copies available.
