After having a frustrating time at another Best Buy, I was relieved this store was close by. I walked in expecting more frustration, but Maya was there to help. It was really comforting to have someone clearly explain what she was going to do and how she could help. Then the manager, who I believe was Roberto, came over to make sure everything was being handled correctly. It had been a frustrating day, but walking into the store and being helped by two people who genuinely cared made a big difference. After 2 weeks of uncertainty trying to upgrade my mom's phone via website and 4 phone calls directly to AT&T. I was able to get my trade in sorted out within 5 minutes of walking into this store. I tried to explain my situation but I was clearly frustrated and Lucas basically said what is it that you need and want to do. I told him I wanted to trade in my phone with the $1000 trade in promo. And he did a few clicks and swipes with just the phone number. Bam, printed a receipt and said come back if there are any issues and you don't get the bill credits in 2-3 bills. Also don't go to a third party AT&T store (the one in the HMart plaza). They were no help at all, and I felt so judged when I walked in. Horrible Experience - Avoid This AT&T Store at All Costs Location: 2775 El Camino Real, Tustin, CA 92782 This is the fourth time I've had a serious billing issue with AT&T, and this particular location has been the worst of all. I originally went in to fix my business plan. The employees assured me everything was corrected. I trusted them -- but three months later, I discovered nothing had been fixed, and I was still being overcharged for every line. When I returned to the store, they refused to take responsibility and told me to "call customer care." I spent over an hour and a half on hold trying to fix their own mistake. Then in May, I came back to add a line for one of the employee's smartwatches. I was clearly told it would only cost $10/month, but I've now been charged around $90/month since then. When I visited again in October, the new manager Bob was completely unhelpful. He said, "I'm not responsible for what happened before me." That statement alone tells you everything about this store's culture. A good manager cares about the company's reputation and customer satisfaction -- not excuses. Instead of helping resolve the problem, he told me to call customer care again. The assistant Chris tried to help and said everything was fixed. However, while I was still in the store, I called customer care to verify and they told me the changes were not finalized and that the same issue would likely occur again next month. I went back to Chris immediately and told him what customer care said, and he simply told me to ask them to connect me to the loyalty department. If employees like Chris are not properly trained or empowered to fully resolve these issues, AT&T needs to train them better -- because customers should not have to waste hours fixing mistakes made by the company's own staff. This location is disorganized, careless, and lacks accountability. Every other AT&T store I've visited in Los Angeles has at least tried to help by calling customer care directly or taking ownership. This one doesn't even try. If you value your time and sanity, do yourself a favor and go to a different AT&T store. This one will only waste your time, overcharge you, and leave you frustrated. read more

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to an AT&T employee -- Arthur -- for his high level of professionalism and friendly attitude toward customers. I confidently rate Arthur's work five stars, as he resolved my issue quickly, efficiently, and calmly. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about other employees I contacted earlier: they were unable to help, and I had to spend an hour and a half in the store with my one-year-old child. Moreover, during my next visit, I was told to come back another day because they could not resolve the issue on a weekend. The very next day, Arthur solved the problem immediately, without unnecessary calls or waiting, for which I am especially grateful. I truly hope that AT&T will have more employees like Arthur -- attentive, knowledgeable, and truly customer-oriented. I am very disappointed with the company's service. I purchased an iPhone 17 online as a replacement for my old phone. During the online checkout, everything was clear and straightforward, and the terms fully met my expectations. However, when the phone arrived and I brought my old phone to the store to return it, I was told that I could not return the phone because I supposedly had a "low-cost plan," and that the terms I agreed to online were invalidated. I find this misleading and close to deceptive, as the information presented during the online purchase was different. As a result, I had to return the phone, wasting a significant amount of time and causing a lot of unnecessary stress. For this kind of service, I would give one star and am seriously considering switching providers Thank you very much! read more

I was just there at 11:30 at the AT&T store marketplace Tustin off Irvine boulevard. The gentleman young gentleman was not helpful whatsoever he was dismissive. He wasn't helpful and helping me figure out what was wrong with my Apple phone told me to go to Apple that he couldn't help me. I told him I did something in my settings, cause I couldn't get on any websites if I was a different nationality I think he would've been more helpful. Very sad. Worst experience ever. My family and I went with the intention of upgrading 2 phones. We walked in, and of the 3 employees there, NOT ONE acknowledged us. Yes all 3 were with a customer BUT it only takes LESS than a minute to say hi or to say that they will be with us shortly or as soon as they can. But nothing. We waited maybe 10 minutes or so. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with AT&T, making modifications to my account. They informed me to return my table boxes that I did not eat any longer to the local AT&T store. When I arrived at the AT&T store, the store personnel informed me that they do not take returns and that you have to go to UPS or FedEx. I've actually been to this AT&T store THREE times in the past month, due to trade-in, activation of e-Sim, and another trade-in. ALL THREE TIMES I had great experience here. The people who helped me in all 3 occasions were different, but they were professional and definitely resolved all of my issues and answered all my questions. Granted I had to wait during my very first visit, but I think it's because they take the time with each of their customers to make sure everything was taken care of before moving on. Would DEFINITELY recommend going into this AT&T storefront location if you have any issues with your AT&T service. read more

Although I've been very disappointed in much of the service I've been getting from AT&T over the phone in the last three or four days I'm leaving for STARS because I went into the store on Sunday, April 17 and was helped by a gentleman named Meng. He took the time and effort, which was significant almost an hour to finally uncover some of the issues that were at the root of my problems. I found it amazing that all the managers retention service reps, regular customer service reps over the past four days to try to help me did not discover , the issue that Meng discovered today. I appreciated his help even more since I wasn't purchasing anything, and I just had a problem, and yet he took the time and effort to help me even though there was no commission in it for him. The thing about AT&T is that when everything actually goes right with a transaction--I am surprised. You have to come to AT&T with the expectation that anything you are told by a representative will not happen the way they say. The reason for this is many-fold including inadequate training, inadequate experience, or a disconnect between what the associate is instructed and how they actually handle the account/transaction at corporate when all the data is imputed. The best way to handle these unknowns is to always inquire from the associate what is the worst case scenario--what could go wrong? Many have seen it and they will tell you. For example when I was shopping for an upgrade, I asked the associate if I could just pay her cash for the phone, take home a sealed box and activate it myself when I have the time to do so and I will transfer over all my stuff. She honestly told me that once I pay and they scan the phone ID from the box over to my account, it sometimes activates the phone in the box, shuts down my old phone immediately, and there is no way to prevent that from happening. So I asked her again, I can't just pay you for a new phone and take it home and deal with it when I have time to do so? She said we used to tell customers that they can, but some people got really mad when they were driving back to work or home and found out that their old phone no longer worked and now their new phone is activated but is in a sealed box, uncharged, with no phone numbers in it. You have been warned. She was honest because I asked and I did not buy the phone that day here. I am giving them 4 stars because I know running a cell phone company in a constantly changing technology environment is hard and very expensive. I feel bad for AT&T--they are heavily in debt spending Billions building out their 5G network. They have to do it and it's not cheap. I have been with AT&T for many years. Their 4G LTE service is really fast and reliable Provided That you buy one of their AT&T branded phones with Qualcomm Chips in it. If you go cheap and don't get a Samsung, LG or an Apple phone with Qualcomm the handshake with the communication towers is going to less than optimal. Same with Verizon or T-mobile. It's not AT&T-- it's the quality of the chips in the phone that matters. And for those of you that like to save a few $$ and buy phones on Amazon or buy those phones that can be used on any carrier worldwide--resist the urge. Many of those phones, that may look identical to a phone sold at the AT&T store will have inside substandard chips, not by Qualcomm, and your performance and battery life will suffer. For example, Samsung makes the Galaxy S10 or S20 for the AT&T USA edition which always has Qualcomm chips. Amazon sells the same phone, but it was made for another countries markets like Mexico AT&T--it will look exactly the same but inside, but it will not have Qualcomm and there will be a difference in performance and you will blame AT&T, but it's really the phone you saved a few $$ on Amazon--not worth it. Only buy phones directly from the cell carrier you intend to use it with for the best performance and battery life. Finally, I just want to comment that when you have a problem with your account or service--which you will--their remote tech support and phone customer service is excellent. I have given them some difficult things to deal with and it did take a few transfers but in the end they solve the problem successfully. Good luck! read more

Do not bundle services with AT&T. We had a dispute with Direct Tv two years ago. Long story short If I was wrong I would have paid Direct TV. Today we went into AT&T cellular for services. They would not service use because of a charge off from Direct TV. Oddly enough I reached out to AT&T Tustin market place two years ago when the dispute arouse. I could physically see them (not possible with Direct TV) and being under the AT&T umbrella I thought they could assist. Nope not at all. But now they are acting as Direct TV collection agency. They would not involve themselves two years ago when the relationship was salvageable. But now they throw themselves right into it. We have had four phones for 15 plus years. They simply don't care about your business. Or they are comfortable with business practices like this. For TV and cell phones we were paying upwards of 700 a month. No more read more

Covid-19 review! I visited this store today (weekday @ 4pm) because I tried calling and the phone just kept ringing for 6 long minutes. I lined up behind 2 people socially distanced outside with all 5-6 employees inside helping customers. An AT&T staff member added me to the waiting list which is also projected on a TV screen inside. While in line, I called the store to see if anyone would attempt to answer, but nobody budged and no one answered the phone. Don't waste your time calling! I timed my wait in line and was finally called in after 15 minutes. I wanted to inquire if they had an iPhone in stock which they did! Harrison helped me out and pointed out a better deal for a newer phone which I was super happy about! He could've not said anything and I could've paid more for an older phone, so I appreciate his honesty! There are clear protective shields on every table to separate the staff and customers, social distance markers on the floor and sanitizer. Normally, I hate going to cell phone stores because of the service and they always try and make you buy stuff however this is the ONE store I'll always go to and always recommend friends and family to go to. They are super kind and nice. Don't haggle and provide excellent support. Shoutout to the manager, Steven as well as his team, Meng. I had an issue and the servers were down so they couldn't address it. They told me they'd keep a lookout and follow up with me end of day/ next day. This usually means they're too busy and I have to follow up myself. Sure enough, they called and texted to inform that the servers were still down and would follow up the next day. Do not go to this store They will rip you off. Elton the manager told us we will get 350 dollars off if we trade in our iPhone 8 for an iPhone 14. We didn't have the iPhone 8 with us and he said that we have 30 days to bring it. We signed a 3 year lease and when we brought the iPhone to give it to him, he said "Oh sorry that promotion ended last night. I called customer service and they said the promotion has not ended but the iPhone doesn't qualify for 350 dollars discount because it is only 64 GB. Elton is the store manager and lied to us. I never rate any phone service good anything until now as I am compelled to share about the experience I have had. I was seen by several of the employees and two in particular really stood out. I would like to thank, Jarem for not only making my experience a great and easy one, but for the recovery he demonstrated from beginning to end. As someone who works in the service industry I know what service should look like and he is truly someone who embodies it in more ways than one.
