Troy is the best! After going into 3 T-Mobile stores, and having nothing but problems without anyone resolving them, I found Troy. He changed passwords, settings, found missing icons and changed the screen. I purchased a new Galaxy S250+ and never thought I'd have so many issues with transferring all the data, icons, re-entering passwords, it had become a nightmare! I finally went into the T-Mobile store in the Marketplace at Jamboree & Irvine Blvd. What luck, Troy helped me as soon as I walked into the store. I switched from Verizon because the in-store representative at this location guaranteed me a certain monthly price on a my bill. They told me I would receive various credits that would bring my bill to that price. It's been three months now and my bill has been over $80 more a month than what the representative guaranteed me. I have had to reach out to multiple other representatives via chat and phone try and have this corrected. It was collected once, and they representative assured me the new price would be reflected on my bill going forward. It was not. The next month it went back up. I was then told it was only I one time credit. So the problem wasn't resolved. I have to go through this every month. This has been a clear and obvious bate and switch by the in-store sales representative. And from what I've read in consumer affairs reporting, this isn't the first time - It's an on going practice by in-store sales representatives. I'm now debating going to arbitration to have this resolved. I should have stayed with Verizon. read more

I came here on two separate occasions to turn in my old phone for a trade in. Both times, it was relatively busy inside the store, but I had completely different experiences. The first time, although busy, several employees greeted us and let us know that there would be around a 15-20 minute wait, and promptly took my name down. Then entire process went smoothly, and I was finished pretty quickly. The second time I came here, no one bothered to even greet or glance at us. I just awkwardly set down on a bench and waited for someone to help me. After around 10-15 minutes of waiting, someone finally came up to us and got my name. After that, the process went pretty smoothly as well, but that first impression just left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully I'll get to have a better experience if I go here next time. read more

I came to this store to port my number from Mint Mobile and join a family plan. I still had 2 months left with Mint, but since I couldn't get data in crowded areas (due to data deprioritization), I decided to switch. The rep who helped me was nice and friendly, however, she was very sloppy. I repeatedly asked her about the plan, what I would get when I transferred, and she confirmed it would be the same as everybody else in the family plan. She assured me that if I am unhappy, I can always cancel and go back to Mint. Big mistake, Mint is an MVNO, and once you leave, everything is wiped out. Mistake #1: I trusted her. So, she proceeded with the number transfer, and to our surprise, I didn't have any data. Just voice and text. She questioned my phone. I explained that it's unlocked and has been working fine with Mint Mobile, which is using the T-Mobile network. She contacted the manager, the manager asked her to wait for 10 min. She even asked to reset my network settings (wiped out my WiFi and Bluetooth). Mistake #2: I believed that the rep and manager are knowledgeable. After 10 min, still no data, and once again, she questioned my phone. After spending another 15 min checking my phone's settings, eventually she told me that she would look deeper into the family plan. That's when she found out that any new line added would only have voice and text, but no data. To get data (which is only 6GB), I needed to add an extra $15 per month. Yes, I learned that I needed to pay extra after the number transfer. They didn't honor the price agreement they gave me before the switch. I didn't have a choice, so with a heavy heart and feeling being cheated, I agreed, thinking and hoping that once I got home I could switch back to Mint. So far, no apology, no offer to make things right. A simple apology, and refunding my $35 activation fee would set things right. I went home, and I called Mint. I was wrong, everything was wiped out, and there was no way back. The lesson I learned: Never trust these reps and even the manager. They're sloppy, and they don't have the customers best interest at heart. I hope you don't make the same mistake as I did. Note: I am thinking of filing a complaint to BBB and other agencies. read more

T-Mobile advertises 5G in our area maps which is true but calls from our and to our home is very sporadic with 1-2 bars reception. We live near Culver and the north side of the Interstate 5 freeway in Irvine with five T-Mobile towers near by. T-mobile customer service said to try switching the phone to LTE mode only, but still only one bar. Now we are trying Wi-Fi calling with still sporadic service because the two networks (Wi-Fi Calling and T mobile) are competing to complete the calls. Now we are on airplane mode at home so the smart phone only uses Wi-Fi Calling...so far so good, but you have to remember to turn off the "airplane mode" when you leave the house, otherwise you will miss any cell phone calls. We have ordered a 4G LTE CellSpot (Coverage Device) in the mean time. Once we receive the Coverage Device we should have our own mini T-mobile tower in our home with LTE. We will see about that? This T-Mobile store does not carry the device so they had to ship it to us. Next option is to switch back to Verizon which has excellent reception at our home. Update: 4/10/24 Installed the 4G LTE CellSpot (Coverage Device)...now getting a solid 3-4 bars service on both smart phone lines. So far so good! Hopefully T-Mobile will install a 5G tower pointing in our direction instead of pointing in the opposite direction in the near future? On the south side of the Interstate 5 freeway on Culver Blvd you get 4 solid bars of 5G service but on the north side you get only 1-2 bars of 5 G service. read more

He helped me upgrade my phone, put the screen protector, and phone case together all nicely for me. He explained everything really clearly, offered a lot of assistance, was super welcoming and patient. They were quite busy that day since they had a long waiting list and were understaffed. I've been a T mobile customer for over 10 years and I love them! Having said that, I expected more assistance when I take the time and drive up to their store. My smart phone is acting up and about to go to her final resting place. I need to save all my work related texts till note 8 comes out. I am so not good at these things and needed a little help saving my texts. 2 sales people at the store and only 1 customer, so its not like they were too busy to take time and help me. When we entered. My son and I were not greeted. We waited nearly 7-10 minutes still no acknowledgement. We had to ask a representative to put our name on the wait list. Once we were finally assisted a tall husky representative seemed to not really want to help. I asked questions about different Android devices but he seemed annoyed when answering the questions. Then 3 times in a row when I decided on a phone he came back and said they were out of stock. Very poor customer service. I ended up buying an unlocked device from Amazon. T-Mobile has recently introduced Jump which made me want to "jump" back to T-Mobile. Get it? I can be so funny sometimes. Not.. Anyway... We spoke to account services before heading over here. They sorted everything out with the old accounts and figured out a way to activate them and get everything back online. Everything was set up before arrival, we have a reference number, an account manager to help us, and all we needed to do was just show up and BOOM! all would be handled. SO NOT THE CASE!! The manager left for the day and left some other punk in charge. He was cool and all but didn't really know what to do with us. He calls in the reference number and they decline his request, two hours later we're still dealing with this, and he's now suggesting we get some crappy burner phones. Seriously dude?? We've had this set up prior and this is supposed to be smooth sailing. WTF? Unfortunately, nothing happens. We're still with #BigRed and we've missed our chance to be on #TeamMagenta.
