The deal was that it was free, and we could reserve it and use it whenever we got another phone or device. We had a member of our extended family who had been on our account for a number of years and wanted their own account, so we removed two lines. We were never told, by the corporate office (not the T-Mobile store), that we had to continue with our exact plan and the same number of lines, and we started getting charged for our "Free" line. We went back to the store, and they said that they could "grandfather" us in for the free line. Lo and behold, we were charged for the line after this change, even though we were told by the guys at the store that they would grandfather us in -- apparently, corporate overrides the store level. We have six phone lines, one watch, and one tablet, so we already pay a good amount of money, and we've been with T-Mobile/Sprint for well over 20 years. We were going to use the extra line for our youngest child to get a phone later this year. Needless to say, they would not go back to their original word and said they would continue to charge for the line, so we ended up cancelling the "Free" line since we won't be getting another phone for 6 more months. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement. We pay $6000+/year for our T-Mobile services and devices -- nothing but cellular, no home internet or anything else. We rarely upgrade our phones and such, so we don't have ongoing leases often. We expect that when we are told something by an associate of the company, especially a manager, that person's word will be upheld. Not sure where to go from here, but seriously considering taking my $500+/monthly cell bill to another company and would welcome recommendations. I do want to reiterate that the folks at this T-Mobile location were fantastic, and I definitely recommend them.

I will have to have two screen protectors shipped to my house. He seemed to take a longer time than usual to get this done but I need them, so I'm glad I waited. The guy who attended us was rude from the start -- no greeting, no kindness, and it was obvious he didn't want to help. He even made a face when I approached his station, like he didn't want to do his job. His attitude completely ruined our visit. What makes it worse is that this wasn't the first bad experience with him -- my parents also had issues at this same store, where one of their phones ended up completely locked because of the same guy. Clearly, this location has a serious customer service problem. We left and went to another MetroPCS store at 10045 Belvedere Rd Ste 1, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411, and the experience there was the complete opposite -- the staff was super friendly, helpful, and made sure everything was done correctly. I will never go back to this location and will tell everyone I know to avoid it. The tiny, rude guy working on Sunday at 3:00 pm (alongside a woman) should not be representing the brand.

I purchased a new phone and they added two new dummy lines without my knowledge. They also offered me a free tablet stating that there will be no service line charges since I have been a customer for more than 6 years. I ended up getting a bill for all these new services that I didn't order. I returned all the equipment, but was not credited back for activation of the three new lines and also got charged for the restocking fee. I have been to various T-Mobile stores over the years and have never encountered such unprofessional and dishonest practices. Buyers beware of any offers that seem to good to be true especially from their store manager.
