Anna had helped me with switching phone providers and setting up my new phone. After she had arrived to the store, she had quickly gotten to the customers and things were moving much more smoothly, I was out of there 30-40 minutes after she started helping me. Austin changed my plans without my consent under the premise I was adding insurance (which he took off without my consent) and kept my old phone on the plan "to save me money". It cost me more money. My daughter went to purchase a new phone. She told Ahmed which phone she wanted. He came out and clearly didn't know what he was doing. He had to get help every step of the way by "EJ", which is fine, we understand the training process. After he finished the upgrade, AHMED opened the phone. My daughter immediately realized he didn't put the phone she picked out. She quickly informed him. He said this is what you get and if you don't want it, you'll have to pay $55 to restock it and then $77 to get the one you want. The manager came out with blue star stickers all over her face (VERY unprofessional) and said you chose this phone. I said no she didn't, and quickly reminded her that she had no idea what took place as she had headphones in the entire time we were in the store. She said, "What I do is no of your fucking business." I said I wanted to talk to her boss. She said her boss doesn't want to talk to me. She then proceeded to tell me she called her boss and her boss confirmed that we had to pay the restocking fee. Ahmed came out cursing me out. The only person there who had any professionalism was Elijah. It's absurd that we were trying to be strong-armed into paying for an employee's mistake. The store has gone down hill since Austin left. If there were 0 stars they'd get it. I've been there twice and both times they've added charges to my account without me asking. They've messed up my phone plans and seem to just try to make some extra commission by being dishonest. The service is also very bad. Went to the store for a new phone. Well, upon entering, I was greeted by a sales person who was disrespectful and very demeaning. His demeanor was very condescending and argumentative. The crazy thing is that, yes I'm a senior citizen but spent my career in technology and know the ins and outs of what he was trying to sell me. However, I didn't tell him about what I know. His character was that of someone who didn't want to take the time to HELP a senior citizen with understanding the options or the details of any plan alternative that one may be interested. He didn't look at me and continued to speak in a monotone voice with the condescending emphasis. Never offering options, alternative or being sure I understood were his mantra. Argumentative, and inattentive were his character. Salesmanship was and is not his forte. I don't understand why he is even in the position he is in. The final straw was him telling me I would get 20% off accessories when I was prepared to purchase them online to save sone money. No sales disclosure before closing the deal. Assumed 20%. Later, no 20%. Went back and he explained that it was only if I bought 3 items. Hmmm, bought 2. Why didn't he say something? Well... His initials are Nathan. If you go here to get a phone, find someone else or go someplace else. This was the worst experience I've ever had upgrading my phone. Oh, and I got the top of the line. Very unprofessional workers here. They never have any stock and every time I have been in here they tell you to check the corporate store in Lafayette. Whether it be me or another customer. It happens every time! Turnover here is extreme. And half the time they don't know what is going on. The entitlement attitude the employees have is just beyond me. read more

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!!!!!! I was lied to, flat out lied to me. No one knows what going on, It took me 4 hours to do my business and another half hour to check out. That's another story. Then.... I had a question about my bill/receipt (after receiving my second watch via mail, the one they told me they had in stock a half hour before) and a gal there told me they don't answer questions and I had to call ATT directly, same receipt they gave me days ago. That was another half day wasted. Store manager refused to give me the area managers number. When I called the other AT&T stores in the area (owned by AT&T) everyone knew of the problems they are having, common knowledge in the local phone industry. We are in the process of swithing to Verizon. Don't even think about going there, certainly not if you have blood pressure issues. Anyone want to bet I don't get a follow up call? What is the purpose of this location if there is only one employee working? Walked in and the man was with other customers. After just being stared at and not greeted, I said hi and he asked why I was in. I told him I had a lot of questions. He said okay go ahead and ask. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. On a phone call Raegene, who stated she was the manager, told me they did not carry AT&T Tempered Glass screen protectors. When I told her I just bought one there for another iPhone model she hung up on me. I assumed it might be a new employee, and drove to the store and found the screen protector in stock. While checking out, I advised her I was the one she hung up on and that they had in stock what I asked for. She immediately turned into a psycho and told me I didn't know anything and then refused to check me out and told me to go to another ATT store. Prior to taking my elderly father to this location to assist him in getting a new phone, we checked both the store website and voicemail to determine business hours. On both we were informed the store opens at 10:00 am. Hoping to be the first in line we arrived early to see that the hours posted on the door are 11:00 a.m. While waiting we watched a dozen other potential customers who also checked the website/voicemail arrive, try the door, read the door sign, and leave in disgust. Working off the assumption that the door sign was accurate we waited until five until 11:00 am and then got out of the car and waited for the doors to open. While standing there we chatted with new arrivals who queried us on whether the store was opening and what was up with all the mis-posted business hours. In the end everyone, including your truly left the shuttered store disappointed. I believe Yelp's advice regarding adjusting expectations in light of the COVID 19 is sensible and I am willing to comply. Yet I also believe that a capable manager or shift leader could, without much effort, show similar consideration to customers by adjusting business hours on their website or voicemail. read more

First of all I don't recall ever writing a bad review. I have not used this business for years since I had a very old iPhone which I also purchased from this store. I hadn't been back in the store since that purchase. On January 30 I purchased a new iPhone 11, only because my old one stopped doing a variety of functions. From day one I had intermittent trouble with the phone; not being able to hear rings, hear voice mails, or others hearing my voice mail message. My first encounter was with Austin. I purchased the phone from him. The store was not busy, yet Austin seemed aloof and preoccupied. He even told me to drive across the street to McDonalds to use their WiFi to back up my phone. It took me longer to drive to McDonald's than to do the back up. He also had me pay for more storage before the backup. When I returned he said he guessed I didn't need the additional storage after all($1/month). He did not seem to want to do any more then sell the phone and get me out of the store. I dealt with Adam a few days later. I can only say good things about Adam. He was patient, knowledgeable and more than willing to help. We thought he had fixed the problem, but unfortunately had not. My next associate, Bradley, was the absolute worst. He was not friendly from the onset. He took me to the counter where he was on a high stool with his blue surgical gloves looking down on me in a little chair. There was a speaker close by and I asked if he could turn it down a little. He said nothing but with such force turned it completely off knocking the speaker down. I tried to tell him what I had experienced the last few days and his response was just tell me the bottom line. I told him I just wanted him to listen to what I had been going through. His response was with the Apple case numbers you have; you have had plenty of people listening to you. Now keep in mind I was the ONLY costumer in the store. I asked to speak to his manager and his response was I should not speak to him like that and that I was being aggressive. I told him every store allows one to speak to a manager. I finally broke down into tears where James, the manager, took over. He was wonderful and was good at defusing this situation. I cannot think him enough for intervening. Bradley continued to work on my phone but never addressed me again. I know without a question of doubt that Austin and Bradley would have never spoken to my husband like they spoke to me. After, 8 days I was finally given a new phone without the $50+ restocking fee and it is working great. I have only great things to say about Apple and ATT support. Without their backing I do not think I would have faired so well. The Geek Squad at Best Buy's was also wonderful. read more

West Lafayette, IN AT&T Store. EXTREMELY disappointed! I went in to buy a phone and after waiting in line for 45 minutes was told that their inventory program was down and they were not able to sell any phones. That would have been nice to know before I waited for 45 minutes. He put my name on the phone I wanted and assured me he would call me as soon as the program was up and running. He never called and after four days I went back in to purchase my phone. After waiting anther 30 minutes, because he was the only employee in the store with any knowledge, I asked if he still had my phone. He said no! I asked them to switch my number from a friend contract to prepaid. There was a problem that after an hour they couldn't manage to change my plan. So the manager told me that he will create a ticket and follow up with me and he will wave the extra chargers that I'll have due to the fact that now I am on a new single contract instead of prepaid. After going to multiple AT&T stores where the associates were either indifferent, incompetent, or just flat out bad, it was really refreshing to go to a location where the associates worked to help us with my husband's defective phone and its replacement. The guy that helped us tonight was very helpful in answering our questions (and we are the most low tech people around) and getting us set up. Just tried to pay a bill. I don't use credit cards and this seemed to be a hassle, though I have been doing this for over ten years. After being told to wait in my car for a few minutes, I was approached by a gentleman who informed me the wait was now over an hour. I explained that I had already been waiting for 25 minutes and this wasn't acceptable and bad customer service. He then told me he could take my payment and asked me to verify my phone number. Then he needed my date of birth. Then he asked for my payment passcode at which I replied that I didn't know that. He told me he couldn't take my cash payment without it. I told him that was stupid and poor customer service. He then dropped the F BOMB on me that he needed the F@#$ing passcode. Beautiful customer service. I will never go back to that location and would love to complain to corporate, but I fear if this person is a manager, therefore he should be a representative of the company, that I will not get any satisfaction anyway. read more

Poor customer service. I went to another AT&T store in Lafayette knowing exactly what I wanted to purchase. I waited an hour to be seen, they didn't have my phone in stock but called the West Lafayette store to see if they had it. West Lafayette did not have the color I wanted but I needed a new phone so was willing to get a different color. The gentleman who placed the call made sure to tell the West Lafayette store that he was sending me there right then so I could purchase the phone. I drove the 25 minutes across town (construction). I was greeted, I told the gentleman why I was there and what store sent me. He let me know there were people in front of me and I would have to wait. I let him know I had already waited an hour at the other store and drove 25 minutes across town. He offered me an appointment for later that evening. This was not ok. My cell phone is necessary for work. The representative was courteous but the customer service was poor. They knew I was coming, they should have taken me as soon as I walked in, taken care of my purchase and got me out of there quickly. It's very unfortunate and I will not be back. Bought 4 new iPhone 6 on a Thursday afternoon. I was greeted promptly by the assistant manager and checked into the queue to wait for a sales associate. The store was pretty busy, but they had at least 6 associates working. I waited about 10-15 minutes, but it gave me the time to look at the accessories I wanted. The sales associate was polite and very cheerful even though it was late in the day. They completed my transaction quickly and I was out of there in less than an hour. I thought that was pretty fast for upgrading 4 lines. I've always gotten much faster and more courteous service at the West Lafayette store than I have at other AT& T stores. read more
