We started off with drinks an alcoholic and non alcoholic version of the Agua De Jamaica and an order of the Garlic Butter Mussels. The my NA Agua De Jamaica was refreshing and much needed for the hot day. The mussels come in a serving of 6 or 12 and next time I would definitely order 12 right off the bat because we ended up ordering another round LOL. The sauce was so good I could drink it. The cucumbers were a nice refreshment/ palate cleanser from all that garlicky, buttery goodness. Just writing this review makes me want more right now! I also thought the mussels were a good size too so I will definitely be ordering those again. We also both ordered the Birria Ramen which came with Texas toast which I've never seen before. The portion size of the ramen was very filling since I was stuffed before our 2nd round of mussels came out (which took longer than anticipated to come out since we had to check to see if the order was put in). I also ordered the Birria Plate (4 birria tacos & consume) to go for my husband, which I should've ordered a bit earlier because of how long the mussels took. In the meantime, my friend wanted an expresso martini which they don't normally serve, but our amazing bartender made his own version with what he had and gave us both a cup to try. I don't even drink expresso martinis like that but the drink he made was delicious! I also heard that they have great beers too but I can't speak to that since I drink beers like that. Management also removes reviews or comments they don't like, which makes it difficult for residents to share honest feedback. In my experience, this community is not veteran-friendly, does not support cultural diversity, and often speaks down to anyone who is not a cis male. Overall, I would not recommend this property to anyone seeking a respectful, stable, and transparent living environment.

The lamps were crooked on the wall, and the pillows were gross. I included pics of the first room, with its slashed blanket and duvet cover. In the second room our beds had no blankets at all, just a sheet and an empty duvet cover. At first we thought they had forgotten to finish making the beds, but no. Shower heads are oddly low. About 5'. I'm 5'6" and I kept hitting my head on the thing while arching back to wash my hair. Pretty funny. Also the whole place reeked of cigarettes and the cheap nasty towels smelled like they'd been washed using old cigarette butts as detergent. Check out the mirrored staircase in the lobby. The decor was interesting throughout. Looks like it was once the fancy hotel. But the nice hotel of 1980 is the shabby 1.5 star motel of today. We ended up at this place because we booked online. Spent 2 nights there. The elevator is a death trap. We used it once and opted for the stairs thereafter. And yes of course, the stairwell smelled strongly of urine :)

He looked through a very large stack of papers, only to be finally helped by another employee. She was able to come up with our information. A computer system would help! Following payment and signing papers we headed to our rooms. To bad we didn't notice the sign on the wall behind the counter that read "If you are unhappy with your room, please let us know within 15 minutes of your stay for a full refund ". Walking to our room the odor of stale marijuana permitted the hallways. The garbage on the floors, the filth on the walls and the dated "decor" should have caused us to leave. We had booked three rooms. One of the rooms had a hand drawn arrow on it letting us know to pull the handle upwards in order to enter. That's because the door had just been pried open obviously with a screwdriver. That's comforting. The rooms had not been cleaned. The soaps were open, dirty towels left in the room, cigarette holes in the comforters, filth everywhere, even blood on the walls. Do yourself a favor and check out my photos and don't stay here!

True definition of service with a smile!…read more I was recently involved in a car accident, and there was a lot of confusion on the scene as traffic was busy and it occurred right in front of a high-traffic business on a main street. After speaking with the police it was unclear if I needed to call for a tow, or if he would. I called my insurance company and they advised to let the police handle it. I approached the officer once more and he provided me with phone numbers to a couple of different companies. After calling the first company, I wasn't optimistic about how the aftermath of this accident was going to play out. Next I called PJ's and from the moment they answered the phone, I felt relief and assured that everything would be ok. The woman that answered my call was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was also quick in gathering info and making decisions. She collected my payment info and assured me that I would be charged only once the car was picked up. About 5minutes after leaving the vehicle to seek medical care, the tow truck driver called and told me that they would not be charging me because car was totaled. He took the necessary info from me and said he would take care of the rest. I was elated to avoid the unexpected $100 expense the week of Christmas!
