The employee greeted me when I pulled up. I waited about 25 minutes in my car before they escorted me to the waiting area. Unfortunately, there was no indoor place to wait. They had 5 chairs outside and people were waiting there. I waited outside for another 15-20 minutes for the oil change; it was a bit chilly but at least they had chairs. Ended up being $38 for conventional oil, and that was after my $25 off coupon had been applied. They also told me one of my air filters were dirty and could be relaced for $29.99. When I declined, they brough it down to $15 lol. I still declined though. Overall, it was an okay experience. Probably went during the busiest time of the day, but it was okay since it was my last errand for the day. Be prepared to wait and bring a book or something! And don't be pressured to spend more money than what you were planning to

Have taken my 98 Ford Ranger to him for a few things. We told him specifically it was a wiring problem and that there was a brand new battery on it and that several other places had tried to find the problem and couldn't. He assured us he would find the problem. After a few thousand dollars and him assuring us the problem was fixed by replacing the alternator (the alternator was not bad as it had been tested multiple times) and another new battery, 2 months later the battery was dead again. He didn't listen and I guess he figured he knew better. Since it takes a few months for a new battery to be completely drained, it was impossible for us to know until that time had passed that he hadn't actually found and fixed the problem, yet he charged us as though he did. The last time I took it to him was because the truck wouldn't start. I figured it was the fuel pump so I wasn't surprised when he said that is what it was. Nearly $1000 to fix, I went and picked it up and took it home. The next week when I went to go somewhere, guess what. It wouldn't start. Took it to Midas and was told the fuel pump needed to be replaced. I won't ever take anything else to that place again.

So I took in my car. Right away, Erik, the owner welcomed us when we walked into the office. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He looked at my car and brought in sample pieces to actually EXPLAIN to me what happened and why my rear left brake went out and the rear right brake was fine. They fixed it within an hour and at a VERY reasonable cost! I was happy with this automotive shop and will continue to use their services in the future as well as recommend them **Side benefit is when they test drove my car to make sure the brakes were functioning well they actually stopped at a car wash and washed it for me. Consumer Beware!…read more This is a very deceptive and shady business practice. I needed help reinstalling a sensor on my vehicle. When I first called to speak with an employee at Hernandez Automotive, who previously helped me. The owner and operator expressed a willingness to help. (This is not the issue..I waited for several hours.) However, after the owner/ operator arrived he immediately reinstalled a sensor, unfortunately with a used sensor possibly from a salvage yard. I was told to return the new sensor that I recently purchased from O'Reilly's Auto Parts in effort to get my money back. It's a good thing, I didn't listen to the person claiming to be the owner and operator because in less than two weeks. I started having problems again with the sensor readings. I'll be honest with the consumer, the service call was definitely a plus, but the failed sensor installed by Hernandez was a bit deceptive and a disappointment. It really defeats the purpose of helping anyone, especially someone my age stranded on the side of the road.
