On August 4 I went in to get my oil changed. That same day I had to go out of town ..well underneath my car I have a skid plate, which they did not attach back all the way. (This is the second time they did this) Also, they say on the paper work I request transmission work to be done which I did not ....I will NOT be going back. Make sure they install everything back the way it's supposed to be before you leave . And I did take pictures of the skid plate almost falling off. Take five oil might be one of the absolute worst oil change companies, we went in for them to refill the coolant, and they broke the reservoir and the hose that takes the coolant to the engine. Their employees have very little experience and know very little of what they are doing. Our engine overheated because of all they broke and we filed a claim against them and they are dragging it and slowing down the process as long as they possibly can in hopes that we drop it. Their company is a joke and deserves to go out of busines. read more

I'am a lifelong loyal customer of take 5 oil change and I was just refused service for voting for Donald Trump. if you voted for Trump and you have a bumper sticker don't go to the take 5 on Bandera and 1604 they won't service your vehicle I see the owner has responded and there's no way for me to reply to her. No I will be contacting corporate tomorrow morning I've been in contact with my lawyer and this is grounds for a lawsuit. It took one hour to be seen for my state inspection when there were only 2 cars in front of me at different bays. Extremely slow service and no consideration for the customers time. They could've said hey sorry it's going to be a bit of wait. Took a whole 5 minutes max to pass my inspection. Ridiculous waste of my time. read more

I like the fact that I'm always greeted with an ice cold bottle of water when I pull into the spot before the oil change bay. They have me in their system, so it's just a bunch of quick confirmations- same thing as last time? Sure! They know their way around a car, and work with teamwork to get the oil drained, the new filter put on, new oil added, and me out the door. When I went to this one, they had the filter, and enough oil to get me lubed. They had no wait, and I got right in and out of there. They advertise that you don't even have to wear pants at Take 5, because you don't even have to get out of your car! Wha? The staff was friendly and walked me through the invoice, and printed me out a new sticker showing when I need to get back in to get my next oil change. My only complaint about Take 5 is how they use the compression wrench on my oil pan drain plug, which I'm always afraid that they're going to put in there and cross thread and get it all jammed up. I wish they'd do that by hand. They offer free top-offs if you get low between oil changes. read more

I stopped in today for a state inspection and Anthony G. was very pleasant, easy to talk to and service was FAST!!! I drove in and was greeted with a smile and offered a water. He checked my insurance and immediately had me assist with the inspection starting with lights. I stepped out to wait in the lobby and was done within NINE MINUTES! From the time I drove into the lot and out. It was less than ten minutes for a state inspection!!! This was my first time here and will definitely come back for an oil change when needed. Super fast service! All you have to do is pull up to the opening of a bay and they'll guide you from there. No need to leave your vehicle. I went in on a Thursday afternoon to get my inspection sticker and I only waited about 30 seconds when a gentleman came out with a cold bottled water for me and asked what I needed. I've come to this location several times and always received good service. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is the professionalism of the employees. I completely understand and agree that you need to enjoy your job and joking around with your co-workers can make that possible, but at a certain point you have to stop and take care of the customer. Every time I've gone to this location it seems their job is something that gets in the way of their conversation and they can't wait to get back to it. While I don't find crude jokes offensive and don't really care if I overhear them (they're personly my favorite type) not all customers will feel the same way. read more

First impression is ok. No one out there to direct me and not all the bays were full when I arrived but within 5 minutes someone did come out and apologize. I was offered a bottle of water, asked if I had been here before and had the procedure explained to me. I was told it would take about 15 minutes which was perfect since I was there on my lunch break! Since I sat there for 15 minutes with nothing happening I dropped my 4 star rating to a 3 star rating. At 20 minutes I want to 2 stars. At this time there were 3 attendants working on 1 vehicle. And a car in each bay and cars lined up for service. @ 23 minutes they jumped on my car. Received a discount for military service so put it back up a star to 3. Educated me on tire info I did not know...1 star up. Overall good service but a little slow start. read more

Do not use these guys! The employees are usually unprofessional and take their sweet time. Overpriced in my opinion. Last time I got an oil change at this location they way overfilled my oil! I was driving around like that for almost a month before I got someone else to look at it and took out a liter of extra oil. I just left the store on Hillcrest in San Antonio.  We waited for over an hour to get a simple oil change.  People that arrived 15 min after us was already getting serviced, when I left.  I take my service trucks there and my personal vehicles there. Awesome service. I came on Sunday and they unfortunately didn't have the filter for my car but they ordered it and it came the very next day which is great. Today I decided to get an oil change. I just finished a 12-hour shift in a professional work setting. I googled the closest location to my work and learned that this address was 4.2 miles from my office. When I arrived I noticed 3 cars ahead of me. I glanced at my car temp. gage and it read 97 degrees. I decided to wait, after all, it called 5 min oil change. Young kids approached my window. He explains it will be about "15 min." I agree to wait. In 22 min. I am signaled to pull into the oil changing bay. I explain I had a 25% off coupon and was instructed to " have it ready to scan" I found the cupon and texed it to myself. My car is off at this point. An African American gentleman appears and raises my hood and signals me to turn my car on. I follow the directions and he responds "oh never mind I meant off" I was thinking (is this guy stoned). The young kid re-appears and explains "it customer appreciation day and all oil changes are 25% off" I was thinking ( I guess I won't need this coupon he just told me they would need to scan) It had been 32 minutes at this point. the car is off and sweat is pouring down my face. I notice the African American employee going back and forth between my car and a toolbox with a puzzled look on his face. At 42 min the young kid approached my car and explained: " we don't have the tools to work on a Volkswagen" I asked to speak to the manager. A young kid, about 20 years old, arrives at my window and explains he can direct me to another location. I explained I had been there 45 min and that I thought it was "customer appreciation day" He has what I would describe as a shit-eating grin on his face. The type of grin that after 45 min in the hot sun you would like to smack off his face but life experience has taught you that that is not the answer. He repeated "I can direct you to another location" I responded, " cant I do that with a simple google search"? He stared blankly at me as if I just recited a difficult mathematical equation. I decided to call the corporate office. There is only a recording that states " the customer is important with a full answer machine option. No message can be left. I dug deeper and found two more numbers all answering machines in other states. Terrible experience, Untrained employees and if something does go wrong there is no-one to help.
