I've been meaning to try At C Fresh for the longest time and last night I had a chance. I really want to try some of their seafood but I was crazing something Asian last night so I went for the Pad See Ew with the combination of beef, chicken and shrimp. It was a delicious meal, all the proteins were well cooked and it was seasoned perfectly. I ordered it medium and it had just the right amount of heat, I might be able to go up one more heat level if I was feeling adventurous but their medium was just right. The Thai Tea was fantastic as well, you can't really go wrong with Thai Tea. I finished the meal with one of their mango ice cream macaroons and I really enjoyed that as well. The shell was nice and crispy and complimented the sweet mango ice cream perfectly . I had been craving cajun food and decided to visit C Fresh, and was pretty disappointed. We ordered the $90 Big Combo for takeout, but the portions didn't seem accurate--definitely not 1/2 lb of crawfish and clams. We made a big mistake ordering peeled shrimps because the shrimps received were very small. Lesson learned, always keep the head-on for shrimps! They also skimped heavily on the sauce, which is a dealbreaker for Cajun food. The Works sauce has good flavor, but there wasn't nearly enough of it. Paying that much for so little is a bit frustrating. I've tried many different cajun seafood places and I don't think I'll be visiting here again. read more

Honestly never thought I'd be writing a disappointing experience for C Fresh, until now. My family of three went to eat. Mind you, we go pretty often and this time, I decided it would be nice to treat them for lunch on me. My first complaint: Their sauce ratio to food has gotten much lower than before. It barely filled up the tray and so we asked the person serving at that time if they could add just a little bit more sauce in addition to what was already given. The guy said yes that would be okay. I assumed it was out of kindness, but no, it was later added to the receipt. My second complaint: I was getting ready to pay on their little portable machine when something caught me by surprise. It was the addition of the extra sauce for $5. I was already baffled but just let it go, it's just $5 anyways. Then I asked for a paper copy of the receipt. I looked and it has automatically added 10% gratuity? This was not mention nor SHOWED on the little portable machine. We were planning on tipping with cash but since we saw the 10% added gratuity in the total, we decided not to. My third complaint: In addition, I was conversing with my boyfriend about it and he said him and his family also encountered the same problem. But worse. They ended up double tipping since they also were not aware of the 10% gratuity added. In conclusion, the food is really good but the shadiness of the whole business was unrighteous. If you want food, get it to go and ALWAYS get a copy of the receipt. You never know what's been added. read more

This place was so TASTY, so flavorful, so juicy. I went to try At C Fresh. By Maya theaters when I tell you the SAUCE of this place was insane, we got the hottest flavor and its still very enjoyable but still very spicy.. you can truly taste the Cajun and it didn't have as much garlic pieces as other places ( but there's an option for more without an extra cost), it had enough sauce to repeatedly dip, we dipped the sandwich and fries in the sauce. Just wanted to give an update. I've been continuing to frequent this place but more so for Togo. But it doesn't affect the freshness or the taste whatsoever! Attention, management -- you're losing repeat customers over service, not food. I've been to your seafood boil spot twice. Both times, the food was excellent -- flavorful, seasoned perfectly, and worth every bite. You've got the product down. But the experience? That's where things fall apart. The first time, I noticed a 10% automatic gratuity added to my bill for just two people. When I came back, I asked to see where that policy was listed -- it's printed on the back of the menu, in small text. For parties of six or more, it jumps to 18%. Now, here's the problem: if you're automatically charging a gratuity, your service better justify it. The young woman with tattoos who served us seemed completely disengaged -- never asked if we needed refills, gave off the vibe that she didn't want to be there, and when I politely asked about the auto-gratuity, she looked annoyed and replied, "It's only 10%." That's not the point. The point is, if I'm paying extra for service automatically, I expect to feel taken care of. On the flip side, the second time I went, the male server seated us and both he and the young lady helped with the table. He was slightly better -- polite, a bit friendlier, and at least checked in twice to ask if refills were needed. That small effort made the experience feel more respectful and was more on the right track toward earning an automatic 10% gratuity -- but not quite there yet. Your décor is nice, music just right, and the location makes it perfect for a chill date night. But the automatic gratuity paired with poor attitude leaves a bad taste, and no matter how good the food is, I can't justify coming back unless that changes. You've got gold in the kitchen -- now get the front of the house to match it. If management wants returning customers, train the staff and make sure that the "automatic tip" feels earned, not forced. Also, fix the gratuity communication so it's upfront and clearly stated -- not a surprise at the end. Fix that, and you'll have something truly special here. read more

You stood behind the counter, looking at your phone. I was annoyed because I had to wait until you FINALY looked up and saw my raised arm! I talked to you about the rice and salmon being dry and the veggies being flavorless!!!! I asked if you had any sauce. You offered soy sauce, sriracha and butter. I told you I didn't care for these (cheap) choices and opted for the butter sauce. You brought that in a tiny container. I poured the small amount over everything. That meant there were only drips on each dish. That didn't matter much. How could butter elevate this dry and tasteless dish, anyway? For the "salad" you only had one other dressing choice. Another short cut. I had no choice, but to get that. It helped. I ate another few of the lettuce pieces. We decided to try this restaurant before we went to the movies at the maya theater since it was in the same parking lot and we'd heard the food was good. We went over two hours before the movie started so we could have a relaxing meal. The restaurant was empty except for 2 tables.So we figured there wouldn't be any problem. They took our order right away.But after that, we hardly ever saw a server. The service there isn't that great. She was friendly, but not very attentive. There seem to be lots of workers and very little customers. We had to flag her down for refills etc. We placed our order and it took almost an hour to get our food. My food was delicious and my grandsons enjoyed their dishes too. I had the Thai curry and my grandson had the shrimp boil and my other grandson had the fish and chips. I love the fact that they had thai dishes to choose from. The cajun fries are super yummy. So all in all, we'll probably give them another try, because the food was so good but the service was not sadly. By the time we got our food, we didn't have time to eat it. So we had to rush it home and then come back for the movie which we were late for. One more thing, be careful and read your check before you tip because they automatically add a 10% tip onto your check. This place opened up awhile ago and we finally visited recently for the first time and we loved it. When you first walk in you automatically see all the cute decor. There's several tables and the day we visited there was a few other people dining in. The place seemed pretty busy because I kept hearing them take orders over the phone and picking up food, so they stay pretty busy. The food was delicious. I was not a fan of the egg because it was too dried and super hard boiled, but other than that the rest of the food was sooo good. I absolutely love their other restaurant so I knew this one would be good. Once in a great while I'll do a seafood boil at home, but I recommend this one if you're not up to cooking it at home. I would love to come back and try their other dishes that are more Thai inspired. They have a good variety of options on their menu. The only thing is the parking is a bit crazy at times since they share it with several other businesses which also includes the theater and other food spots. read more

One of the best seafood boils I've had. The kick in the works is sooo good! The sides are moderate portions, for more than one person. We placed a phone order for headless shrimp : the works : mild & medium and they did not disappoint. The employees were friendly and fast with prepping and handing us our order. Flavor packed spot for for a great value! My husband and I met up with a family member (1/2 way between LA and Fresno). The inside was clean and spacious - perfect for any size group! The staff are very friendly. Between the 3 of us we ordered the Big Seafood Combo and their Cajun fried rice. It was the perfect amount of food! The combo has a mix of crab legs, mussels, clams, crawfish, shrimp, sausage, and corn. We got the mild flavor and it packed a lot of flavor and the spice level wasn't bad! My only feedback is some of our clams didn't open, but the waiter was super nice and re-steamed them for us. The Cajun fried rice was suuuper yummy and complimented the boil bag really well! Came back after over a year. Been craving some seafood and thought we come back here. The inside is very nice and clean, looks pretty cool too. Placed an order over the phone and service was simple and easy. The order came in a nice to go bag and the person even double checked the order. Got the 1/2lb of shrimp, the works, medium spice with sausage, corn and potatoes. Then garlic noodles, and the crawfish Cajun cheese fries which seemed to be a good deal. This place is a good option for seafood, like boiling crab franchise. Nice ambiance and decor. The store doesn't smell with the fishy smell, like other restaurants do. The shrimp was cooked to perfection but is not packed with flavors. You would need to dip it in the sauce after peeling it. The big downside of this place is the waiting time. Food is good, won't bash that, BUT, service is horrible. I won't eat here again. Me and a guest decided to go eat for a quick lunch. The server (won't say a name) kept speaking low and I had to take my guest order down FOR HER because she wasn't being clear about what was on the menu and additional adds. Getting frustrated already with her taking our order down. Then she's offering discounts and doesn't apply the discount in the end. I don't mind paying anything that I ASK for but don't offer a discount as a server and then NOT apply it on the receipt. I originally didn't want that and she offered a discount so I happily accepted. They only went up to us TWICE and didn't go back after giving us the check. I had multiple complaints and all of them were in the back waiting for us to leave instead of coming to grab the check and make sure everything was set. They knew exactly what they were doing. It's servers like her that ruin business for others. My first time there btw. Not to mention they automatically add gratuity which I, correct me if i'm wrong, thought that was mandatory if it's a special event or a large party. It was only a guest of 2 and not to mention the building isn't a huge restaurant, it's tiny....... so gratuity 10%? $33??????????? for a tip?!!!!! for 2????!!! I've been meaning to try this place for a while & I'm so happy that we finally made it in today. The place is very nice & clean, service was exceptional & the food is Amazing! The kids menu is limited, but my son was happy with the chicken nuggets & fries. My daughter got the fried shrimp po boy sandwich & she said it was really good! I got one of the mini combos with clams, mussels & shrimp, I added snow crab & it was Delicious! I shared some with my daughter but still had leftovers. The portions are good & the flavors are amazing. This place looks small from the outside, but once you walk in there's lots of room and tables. I had called in a few days ago to make sure we got a table for 9 at 5pm on a Saturday. They have 4-6 tvs so you can watch while you wait. We had Cajun fries with a mixed bag of shrimp, (no head or tails), king crab legs, and a lobster tail. They give you potatoes with it but you have to order corn and sausage as extra. We ordered it with the works (all the sauces l), and med heat which had a kick! All of it was really good. The only thing was that the lobster was over cooked. Wanted to say the service was great! They started to get busy as we were leaving and he was waiting on everyone. Great job! My husband and I went to Claw Daddy first, but due to not being able to park, we ended up looking for another place. Now, we were pressed for time and needed to find another place fast. My husband got crawfish and sausages with mild heat and "the works," and we also got Cajun fries and pink lemonades. The food came out hot, which I appreciated. The seasoning was decent, but I would prefer hotter heat because the medium heat didn't have a kick to it. The fries were good. We went to Pismo about a month ago and had a wonderful experience so we decided to to try At C Fresh and we got a bag of king crab which maybe two or 3 were in there and a lobster tail and a egg and it came out to $157.00 which for two people gratuity was included for like $13.00.
