The restaurant is near some car chargers in one of the parking lots, so it was convenient to recharge our PHEV. The place is cute and clean (though the restroom could have used a touch up). He's a salmon addict and loved it. Prices are reasonable for seafood, and they have other options like ribs. Staff was helpful. I love this place! It's the only place I know of that makes oyster po-boys in Bakersfield and they make them very well. If you want extra oysters then they ask you how many. The service is great but be prepared if you go on a weekend night the place is very popular. Didn't know about this hidden gem until just recently. This is now my go-to seafood boil place in town! Location is close to work and home for me. They are located in front of the Maya Cinema and behind the ice rink. Seafood is usually expensive. But I think their pricing here is pretty fair. And for the amount of food you get and the quality, I find it worth it. First time I went was with a friend who's been there before and she is pretty picky, so I figured if she wanted to go back it must be good! And I was not disappointed! Went back with my brother and another friend to have dinner before watching a movie. It was as good as the first experience. Service was friendly and quick! They provide a plastic bib and gloves if you order the seafood boil. If you like to eat with your bare hands, you can too! There's 2 washing stations just to the side of the kitchen by the restrooms. Was here about 8 months ago, it was 2 adults and 1 child. My Childs food never came till I had to remind them 2 times. Love this little gem! Great for families will little ones. It's a little far out of the way from where I live, but we were craving something different with a lot of options. This place was just the spot. There are tvs for the kids to stay entertained and plenty of room for big groups. Kids had the kids meal and loved it. I've been to this place on multiple occasions and normally have a great experience, but this last time that I went in 06/01/2025 and was so displeased. My wife ordered the crab legs and which they were so soft they were impossible to crack open, and trust my wife is a crab pro, and then when we opened the crab legs and there was hardly any meat (more than half the legs were empty). I proceeded to tell someone, who grabbed the manager and which he got gloves, never washed his hands, and started digging through my wife's bag to crack the crabs to convince us there was meat. This restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere to dine-in. I came in on a Tuesday night, there was only one person working. He also has to deal with takeout/delivery orders while serving tables, but did his best to make sure we were taken care of. The food is a mixture of Thai and Cajun flavors. I ordered 6 wings (garlic black pepper and Cajun flavor), a mini combo with clams (the works sauce mild) and Thai fried rice with crab. Everything was cooked very well. The skin on the wings was crispy, and meat was juicy. The seafood was cooked perfectly, and the fried rice was flavorful. My only issue is that every single order was VERY SALTY. The sauce on the wings, the sauce in the seafood boil, and the crab meat in the fried rice; all were oh so salty. It would have been much more delicious if they just took it easy on the sodium. I love Thai food and seafood, so naturally I had very high hopes for this spot. Maybe I should have sent the food back and asked them to make it less salty? Either way, I will give this place another try but not for a while. They also automatically add a 10% tip which made it very convenient, instead of having to calculate it myself (insert sarcasm here). read more
