I didn't know what to expect when I came here. The place is very small, but just the right size in the dining room. It seems that they do a lot of takeout orders. So we didn't have to wait very long at all. Everything came out pretty quick and everything was just amazing. This place is across from my house so we will definitely be back. It's even close enough that if we took our food to go, it would still be hot at home. I had the drunken noodle, but I definitely want to try the pad Thai next. It's in a shopping center so there's lots of parking.

Cozy little spot that seats about 40 - 50 people. There seemed to be only two people working but they were very efficient with seating and service. Their menu offered a nice variety of Asian favorites, we were hoping for more Pho choices but what they had was good enough for what we wanted. We enjoyed the presentation of the hot tea. The individual tea pot was adorable and being able to watchnit bew was a cool touch. The wonton noodle soup was delicious. The broth was delicate in flavors and didn't swallow up the flavor of the added chili oil. They weren't stingy of the amount of wontons or noodles. There definitely was enough to where if you wanted a wonton soup you could eat a few wontons, if you wanted a Ramen, you could slurp up enough Ramen to enjoy your Ramen soup and go back to having a wonton. My husband enjoyed the three meat beef, tripe, and pork combo Pho. Not sure what kind of tripe is used but its cut so nicely thin it looked like a piece of chicken. His only negative about it was that it was served with a side of lemon that he said changed the flavor profile a little bit from a lime. Definitely a place to stop in for a bite to eat if you're in the area.

Stopped by for lunch with my husband for some delicious chinese food. We've eaten here a few times before and the food is always amazing! The portions are generous and excellent value. We usually get the 3 item combo. My choices today were double Kung-Pao chicken & Potstickers, served with fried rice and chow mein. Each entree has its own unique and delicious flavor. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly and taste fresh. The service is very attentive & staff are super friendly! The ambiance is great, perfect for a lunch bite or dinner. Definitely recommend!!

My daughter really wanted some Chinese food and we decided to try Soy and Spice. The cafe didn't disappoint. All our food was cooked perfectly. And the flavor was on point. Everything was fresh. The portions were big and the prices are reasonable. The cafe is quiet and casual and a calm atmosphere. Our server was attentive with refilling our drinks and our food came out quickly. Highly recommend supporting this business.

Great service and great food! We were greeted by the owner immediately upon arriving and everything we ordered came out piping hot and fresh. The food is very authentic and we are excited to come back again to try more dishes.

I don't recall what this place was called before its current name, but we've been coming here that long. This place has the best Pho in town - IMO. I was feeling under the weather and that is the only thing that sounded good. It definitely hit the spot today. Chicken Pho, I definitely recommend it and you won't regret it. We have always had quick and friendly service in a welcoming environment. A few other dishes I enjoy is the orange chicken and the pad thai.

    Strawberry Green Tea

Awesome first visit and will definitely return! We did the combination with orange chicken and kung pao, sesame ball appetizer, salt and pepper pork chops, and a strawberry green tea. The showstopper was the pork chops- these were absolutely amazing and fresh. The strawberry green tea and sesame balls were also very yummy.

The kiddos and I have found a new go-to in Bakersfield for our Asian cuisine, and it's for more than the good food. The service is phenomenal. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and were there until about 9, and we weren't made to feel rushed. As we were exiting, my nephew wanted to take a Pic near one of the decorations our waitress said take your time. I loved the lighting. It's low giving that romantic feel, but roomy enough for the whole family.

My husband and I ordered their vegetable pho on Monday as a to go order over the phone. Over the phone she said the order would be ready in about 15 minutes and the order was ready to go and upon arriving home the food was still super warm. They package everything really well. This is my go to place for vegetable pho. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Although, I've never had my food to eat there when I go in but it's always super clean. The vegetable pho has zucchini, onion, broccoli and carrots. FYI: I believe they are closed on Tuesdays.

I was craving pho and decided to give Saigon Bento a try. It's a little confusing because there's a Saigon restaurant and then there's this place, Saigon Bento. There's also a Saigon Bento #2. Apparently Saigon restaurant has been around for forever and is highly recommended, but was much farther, so I decided to come here instead. I honestly just like the meatballs in my pho and they were able to accommodate just this instead of their other preset dishes. It was good and packaged well for takeout! It was ready super quickly!

Somewhere between the kitchen and the table they experience a full existential crisis and dissolve into a noodle-flavored fog. You don't eat this pho so much as you drink it with regret. Then there's the robot. I want to be clear: the robot is trying its best. But a robot is not a coworker, it's a Roomba with delusions of grandeur, and pairing it with exactly one (1) visibly overwhelmed human does not equal "efficient staffing," it equals "understaffed with extra steps." I've seen this establishment's entire org chart and it's one guy and a trash can with wheels. The Vietnamese coffee and salted cold foam, though? Genuinely incredible. Immaculate. The only reason my card has ever been charged here more than once. I racked up a small fortune in reward points on the strength of that coffee alone -- and then went to redeem them, only to discover the website has apparently also fallen into a noodle-textured crisis and is completely down. So now I have points sitting there like Monopoly money for a bank that closed. Great coffee. Great foam. Genuinely inspired idea for a business. Just... catastrophically executed, like someone had a beautiful vision of a pho franchise and then handed the keys to a single tired employee and his robot intern. America needs a real pho franchise. This is not it.

If you are craving great, authentic Thai food, give Bangkok Street Food a try. The restaurant is not big, maybe roughly 12 tables. Service is great and waitstaff check up on you periodically. Here's what we ordered, everything is served "family style" so plenty for sharing. 1. Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) $15.95? Spicy, stir-fried flat rice noodles with your choice of meat (we picked chicken and beef & pork are available for an additional fee) chili, garlic, basil, onion, bell pepper, carrot and tomato. You can pick your level of spicy and we went with spicy. 5/5 2. Crying Tiger $18.95, Thai style grilled beef. Served medium rare with spicy tamarind sauce. This was definitely my favorite. The meat was tender with a bit of fattiness, oh so good. 5/5 3. Thai Boat Noodle Soup $16.95, a savory herbal broth with pork rinds, beansprouts, Chinese broccoli, choice of noodles and choice of beef or pork, topped with fried garlic, green onion, and cilantro. The broth was a bit on the saltier side for me. But overall a great, savory soup. 4/5 I look forward to additional visits because there are so many more dishes that I want to try.
