The selection is decent, though a little limited. They seemed to be out of some things but that's okay. We started browsing looking at simple games. Corey asked if he could help and we told him what we were looking for. He said the one we were holding, Rebel Princess, was really fun and he had played it himself. we decided to snag that. He then recommended us Forest Shuffle as a fun game for us too, little does he know that animals like bugs and birds are my entire personality. Such a good read on his part. We loved the game he pitched and took that as well. He showed us around the shop and where to find some amazing used and vintage books (very cool little selection) and where everything else is located. I'm not one of the adults who still collects, but now my girls are all in... and I'm along for the ride! From the moment we walked in, they were welcomed with so much kindness. I didn't catch her name -- she wore glasses -- but she was incredibly sweet to my girls and even gifted them each a Pokémon Trainer Box. It absolutely made their day. They haven't stopped talking about building decks since. They spent the rest of our visit carefully picking out their favorite cards from the mixed singles boxes -- Jigglypuff and Pancham were top picks -- and wide-eyed staring at some of the wildly priced cards (definitely made me wish I'd held onto mine from back in the day!). Here's hoping their new Pokémon passion doesn't completely drain my wallet... but this shop made 2/22 a day they won't forget. Has almost everything you need to play YGO and if you don't, he can get them for you too in a timely manner. On top of covering everything you may need, it's a family run business and teaches his own kids about how valuable even minute things like cards may seem but are an investment in the long run. There was a tabletop tournament for Magic the Gathering the day I went. The tables were all full and everyone was having a great time. My partner I had recently picked up Wingspan and have been enjoying it a lot so I wanted to pick up another board game for duos. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful here - they answered all the questions I had on board games I was looking for as well as gave me their own personal recommendations. We quickly picked up the 7 Wonders Duel board game and are very excited to test it out. Price is slightly higher than Amazon but worth it to support this business. Highly recommend Bards & Cards and will definitely be coming back.
