So fun to shop before Halloween and Christmas. My eyes are having a wow fest with all the bling, decorations, art supplies and more. Came at the right time since many items had 30-50% sales signs. Couldn't resist the fall critters, SO cute. Doc said one looked like my fur Bebe. Fun fun shopping adventure. Cashier asked if I wanted their credit card. I said no. She said you'll save $50 which changed my mind fast cuz the total was hefty this time.

    What a deal

With my wife being such a crafty person I attributed to Pinterest she likes to make arts and crafts for gifts which makes my house is messy at times but Im not mad at her because she tends to find really good deals at Michael's or most things are either 70 or 80% off and if they're not then she uses her teachers discount I always ask her to show me the money she saves which of course she can't show me because she spending to save laugh out loud. This location is fairly new it's well organized and staffed the parking lot is shared with other retailers and restaurants but I never have difficulty finding a spot. I for one don't shop here often I only come in for frames to hang my Kobe Bryant Shaquille O'Neal Junior Seau LaDainian Tomlinson and Philip Rivers jerseys I might come in more often now that I have a son to buy more frames so that I can put his pictures everywhere. If you have a sweet tooth they do have a great candy aisle in front of the store they have Ghirardelli available for less than a dollar -amazing!

My coupon... sign up online for stuff like this and other discounts!

Date of visit: February 1, 2020 Valentine's Day is coming up, and I wanted to give my lady a gift from the heart. Since she'd given me the key to her heart last year, I wanted to give her the key to mine (using an old house key I found while cleaning)... so time to bite the bullet and make my way to the newest Michael's inside the Villages at Mira Mesa/the Mira Mesa Mall in order to find some supplies to embellish the key. I normally try and stay away from Michael's on weekends, as the usual patrons would bulldoze me whilst looking for their craft supplies. Surprisingly, this wasn't the case here; the aisles are pretty spacious, and while it took me a while to find what I was looking for, I eventually got what I needed to make the key a worthwhile present for my lady. And there were no problems using the online coupon I'd printed out - though I noticed that what you can use them on is limited to crafting supplies only. I guess too many people were using them to pay for snacks, Lego kits, and non-crafting materiel. Not too bad a store!

Didn't let me pee as a paying customer. I've been holding this all day. They said that they would unlock it and never did after I waited

Almost always low in inventory so even when they advertise new items, it's not available in store or online. Why bother then?

The shop isn't open every day, and while part of me wishes it were, it actually makes catching it open feel like a treat. It turns a simple supply run into something I look forward to. My first visit was just to browse. I picked up a few skeins from the discontinued/orphan bin and some fun extras for a crocheter friend. The selection immediately stood out -- this isn't big-box store yarn. The fibers are higher quality and much more enjoyable to work with. On my second visit I purchased a beautiful wool/alpaca blend hank for fingerless gloves. Carol balled the yarn for me and then taught me how to split it into two equal balls for my project. The concept honestly confused me at first, but she explained that you divide by weight rather than yardage -- and suddenly it clicked. One of those "aha" moments you remember later. Shortly after, I returned for two more hanks of the same yarn. Carol again walked me through using the swift and ball winder. I even sat at the big studio table ripping out a glove... twice... while she patiently taught two young students to crochet. Watching her explain foundation chains and rows made it clear she isn't just a shop owner -- she's a gifted teacher. Most recently, I brought in gloves I was struggling to finish. She patiently explained the construction in a way my brain could actually process and showed me an alternate method that achieved the same result but was much easier to understand. That kind of support is priceless. Carol consistently shows kindness, patience, and deep knowledge of fiber arts. The shop also carries a huge variety of patterns for knitters and crocheters at every skill level. Parking can feel confusing the first time, but it's easy once you know: there's a lot behind the building -- enter via the driveway to the left of the neighboring house -- plus plenty of street parking. As long as the shop is open, I'll keep coming back. This place feels less like a store and more like a fiber community.

If she hadn't helped me, I would never have been able to figure out how much yarn I needed for my projects! It will be my go-to from now on, as I live close by.

The…read moreshop has become a central hub for me to meet new people and foster a welcoming community for social gaming. I regularly introduce new participants to both games, encouraging a broader and more engaged player base. For Dungeons & Dragons, I often seek guidance from Rubin, a staff member, whose advice has consistently helped me improve my gameplay. In the realm of Magic: The Gathering, particularly Commander format, my playgroup regularly consults Mike for strategic insights and deck optimization. We've even made special trips to the store specifically to play against him. Many of my military-affiliated friends--who make up a notable portion of the local Magic community--appreciate that Mike is also a veteran Marine, creating an added layer of camaraderie and trust. Personally, I've always found Mike to be forthright and exceptionally knowledgeable. He is a key reason why my friends and I attend Commander Night on Tuesdays; his expertise and willingness to help players refine their decks by identifying the most synergistic card choices is invaluable. I also proudly support At Ease Games as a Patreon member, which grants me access to special events. This system helps foster a dedicated and respectful community, and I've had numerous positive experiences because of it. At Ease Games is a cornerstone of the local gaming scene. Should the shop ever close, it would be a genuine loss to the community--a deeply felt absence for many of us who have come to rely on it as a space for connection, growth, and play.
