    Our favorite girl, Rooney

Words cannot express how deeply grateful I am to Dr. Kuty and her team for the care and compassion they showed our beloved Rooney. After her long and courageous battle with kidney disease, she passed naturally from kidney failure just an hour before our scheduled appointment. Dr. Kuty still came to support us with the cremation services and, with such kindness, fully refunded the euthanasia. She brought a soft blanket and a basket for Rooney to rest in--such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that brought us comfort during an incredibly difficult time. Afterwards, she even sent us a beautiful, heartfelt card. Thanks to Dr. Kuty, Rooney's final moments were met with tenderness and dignity, and we will always be grateful for the comfort she gave us during such a painful loss.

I think we all wish we never had to use this type of service, putting aside the circumstances and painful experience of losing our fur baby Rocky. The whole experience was as pleasant as can be, from the initial phone call to the scheduling and actual appointment. The phone staff answered all my questions and the day of, Maria texted me giving me an ETA. Once she arrived, she explained everything to us and gave us all the time that we needed throughout the whole process. The day after she sent a text to see how we were doing, a few days later she sent an email with grief support information and even mailed us a card sending us her condolences. This was the best experience we could have had, given the circumstances and our sweet boy when peacefully in his own home surrounded by all the people that loved him. Stop looking, this is the one! Thank you so much Maria for everything! Our boy is no longer in pain and we get to hold him and his memories close to our heart.

Rooney Boy, enjoying a swim up in Lake Tahoe. May he be living his best life in heaven now.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Maria Kuty. She made a very sad situation much more bearable for my family. She took her time with us and the procedure and treated our dog with dignity and compassion. She was referred to us by a friend, and I am so grateful that she was available at this important time. I would highly recommend her services if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to put a loved pet to rest.

This is way over due to write a review here as my 15 years old Husky passed away last summer. He was my Best Friend and Partner in Crime who has been with me since he was 3months. It was a difficult decision for me especially when my husky still had a puppy heart and there will be days he looked fine. I knew it was about quality of life, and my husky was holding on for me. He didn't want to go either and kept fighting it to be the warrior dog he is, but he knew he had to go. I even saw the tiredness in his eyes and his body giving up but his strong will and spirit was still a fighter. Trusting someone was very difficult to help him transition over the rainbow.. I wanted my husky to be surrounded with love and comfortable without being rushed and just relaxed peaceful environment giving time to say goodbye.. I found Dr. Kuty on my own researching and reading her reviews and talking over the phone with her. I just felt right choosing her, and energetically. When she came over she really respected everyone's space and my husky, you can feel her sincerity compassion and only gave a go when you were ready to confirm with her. She will check in with you first. Gave clear instructions and communicated what was happening and the whole process. She respected our time to say our goodbyes, making sure everyone has a chance to spend quality time and say their last goodbyes as well his friend- Golden Retriever that came into the room. I have my husky his favorite special treat before he went to sleep and gave me one last kiss goodbye. My husky didn't even try to run away from Dr. Kuty as he knew what was going on and I was prepping him knowing he was being super spoiled, so many guests coming by to say their goodbyes.. dogs are so smart. My husky has a huge separation anxiety but his final day he didn't seem like he was anxious as Dr. Kuty presence has him calm. I think I know why it took me one year and a half to write this review as I still grieve taking me back to memory lane of my husky last day was hard to write this. But for those who have to go through this, wanted to share that you're not alone. I couldn't recommend Dr. Kuty enough. She was a great support, and made everything very smooth and peaceful. She even followed up after checking in how I'm doing. ~Lanie

This was our second time calling Dr. Kuty, she came to our home about two and a half years ago to help us say goodbye to one of our beloved cats, Luke. So, as soon as I knew we had to say goodbye to his liter-mate Leia (yes, named after Star Wars siblings), I knew exactly who to call. Dr. Kuty was as amazing as she was two years ago. She was so kind, and understanding and sat with us as long as we needed to say goodbye to our beloved cat. She asked my kids if Leia had a favorite toy that they wanted to send with her, and she even gave them a tuft of her fur in a keepsake bag. I cannot praise her enough! She truly feels the loss with you as if she has known your pet as long as you have, and that meant the world to us. Even in setting up the appointment, her office staff is so friendly and understanding and they sympathize with you from the very first moment you speak with them. This is my second review for Dr. Kuty, and I really cannot say enough about her and her staff, I will forever be grateful for them and I will continue to sing their praises to anyone who needs their service.

Dr. Kuty, was Amazing! I called at 4 am. My precious Bella was declining fast due to end stage Kidney failure. She was able to be at my Home at 10am. She was patient and kind. Bella just gently fell asleep in my arms, in her home. She patiently let me hold Bella after to say my goodbyes. She also Hand delivered Bella's urn and paw prints personally to me. She truly was an Angel to me in my time of need.

Dr. Kuty is a kind and caring human being that understands the difficult choice to provide end of life care for a pet. Our Chihuahua Coco, was a few months short of her 17th birthday. The decision wasn't easy for us to let her go. Dr. Kuty helped Coco go peacefully in her sleep. I also want to thank Dr. Kuty for sending cards, emails, and text to check how we were doing. We chose Dr. Kuty due to the high stress to Coco going to the vet. We wanted her final hours as peaceful as possible for her. Her remains were returned to us in a week. We are at peace now.

Do you have service on bunny Euthanasia at home? Thanks.

I am sorry you are needing to say goodbye to your bunny. I provide home euthanasia services for dogs and cats only. If you call my office phone they can provide you with some references.

    How much it cost?

Do you know of any pet cremation locations in San Jose, CA? Asking around to the community, my 11 year old maltipoo is going for a surgical procedure tmrw morning and just want to be prepared, god forbid but I don't want to be scrambling. Thanks.

Hopefully you don't need this information and everything goes well with your pup's surgery. But if you do need to arrange for cremation, your veterinarian should be able to make arrangements for you. They will work with one or more cremation…

When I contacted Restful Paws, I didn't know what to expect. In fact, I felt bad crying on the phone because I couldn't imagine trying to talk to someone like me at that moment. But the staff couldn't be more understanding and supportive. Unlike making end of life decisions for your fur baby, the process of scheduling this appointment was very easy. Restful Paws asked all the right questions, set the expectations, and made this process that much easier. And on the day of, Dr. Ami arrived promptly at the scheduled time. She was very caring and understanding, and she put all of us at ease. We could not have asked for a better last day for our Sodapop. Weeks later, we received a card from Dr. Ami sending us her condolences. Thank you, Restful Paws, for doing the service that you do. From calling to make an appointment, receiving reminder emails, and day of texts from our vet, each step was handled with so much compassion. We were able to find a weekend availability which was best scenario so everyone could attend. Dr. Vine was very punctual the day of and gave us a thorough breakdown of what to expect (pain reliever, anesthesia, and euthanasia). We didn't feel rushed at any point, and we were given ample time before proceeding to each stage. She was very respectful and the process was smooth. After the euthanasia, we were able to choose where we wanted the fur clippings. The paw print was perfectly imprinted with Christy's name, which added such a sweet personal touch. We chose to pickup Christy's ashes at Sage, and it was quick. The only thing is it felt very jarring going to an animal hospital filled with so many people and dogs. Considering this was only 2 weeks after the euthanasia, I was still grieving and it was difficult being in that environment so soon. The only feedback I'd give is it'd be more mindful if there was a separate pickup location away from everyone else for more privacy. Dr. Vine sent a sympathy card as well and it was very sweet. Thank you so much for giving Christy such a respectful experience and having her pass comfortably and peacefully. I will definitely recommend this organization to loved ones! Thank you Dr. Vine for such a smooth experience. You made this process much easier and we were able to focus on grieving afterwards. Rest in peace, sweet Christy!

I received a response offering an exam appointment (which I expected), along with the soonest available opening, but no information about pricing -- not even the cost of the exam itself. I replied asking for both the exam fee and availability. They responded by booking an appointment date and time, again without answering my question about pricing. I had to follow up a third time explaining that I needed to know the cost before confirming, and I was finally told the exam would be $60, which seemed reasonable. Since it was actually my brother's dog, I sent him to the appointment. After the visit, he was quoted $1,600-$2,000 for treatment, which was unfortunately out of his budget. While that happens and isn't necessarily the issue, I was disappointed to find out he had been charged $80 for the exam instead of the $60 I was originally told. When I reached out via text, they explained they "forgot" to apply the new client discount -- something that had never been mentioned to me beforehand. They offered either a refund or to apply the difference toward future services. Since we had already found another clinic that could do the same services for around $1,200, I asked for the $20 refund back to the card. After that, I never heard back. No confirmation of the refund, no apology for the overcharge, nothing. I understand veterinary care is expensive, and it's not their fault my brother is a broke college student. But basic customer service and communication go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning or recommending this office.

It was a really great experience, especially with Dr. Bhinder. From the very beginning, Dr. Bhinder was extremely informative and detailed during Peach's checkup before her cleaning. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and genuinely helped ease my concerns, which I really appreciated. Honestly, this visit made me realize that this is the level of information and communication I should be receiving during a vet appointment. I felt much more informed and confident about Peach's care here that I'm strongly considering switching to this place as our main clinic. The staff was just as wonderful. They were attentive, kind, and clearly knowledgeable. They were very thorough throughout the entire process and made sure I understood what was going on every step of the way. One nurse went through the quote with me and let me know what to expect. She also told me to feel free to take my time and decide if I want to do the cleaning for Peach. I knew I could trust the team and decided to go through with it, so I had the cleaning scheduled. Dr. Bhinder personally called me to let me know when Peach would be ready for pickup and he even followed up the next day to check in on how she was doing. The level of care and follow-through truly stood out to me. After discharge, one of the nurses was refreshingly honest and even mentioned that Peach was a little feisty & tried to fight some of the staff during the procedure... but he also took the time to walk me through all of the aftercare details clearly and patiently. Overall, I felt listened to, supported, and reassured that Peach was in great hands. Because of the excellent care she received from the team, she now has some pearly white teef and no buildup/tartar! If you're looking for a vet team that is thorough, communicative, and genuinely cares about your pet, I would highly consider Curtner Pet Clinic & Hospital.
