I stopped by At Home on a Sunday evening in search for a small drawer container that I can put on top of my dresser. It is always a treasure hunt when I go to At Home. Although, I was surprised to see the Halloween and fall decor were on clearance before Halloween was here. (I was here a few weeks earlier in October to look at travel supplies.) The store is organized for most part. I found what I was looking for, but noticed products were spread out and not organized like lined up, stacked. But that's OK, at least it has a price tag on the item so I didn't have to guess. Although I did find some seat cushion that I had no idea how much they were so I left those behind. As for service, I saw one cashier. She did not spark a conversation with me like she did with the couples in front of me, but was professional - "did you find everything OK? Are you a perk's member? Your total is..." I'll be back for more home good finds. read more

I would put negative 5 stars I walk in and grab three items and went to pay ther was only one register open and instead of getting someone else to help ring up since she was help a costumer for more then 25 minutes and did not engage that i was waiting so long very disappointed on how the moment every thing was handled read more

Went to the store for the first time and was very excited. I really liked a few things and wanted to purchase an area rug. The rug that I chose happened to be hand stitched so they varied in colors, and were slightly different from the display rug. I asked the store manager if I could purchase the display rug. Between her being mad that we had taken the rug down to look at it she would walk away from us mid sentence to go grab a ladder to put it back up, then said she would not sell us the display because she had "other tasks to do, " and didnt want to have to put up another display. She did tell us that yes, in fact, they do sell the display rugs, but she would not sell the display right now, because they just put them up and didnt want to put another one up. Ok? I've worked retail, I understand having million things to do, but really? She was rude and unwilling to help us. So, I left the store, did not purchase anything and will not be returning. read more

This place is quite large. I didn't know anyone had moved into the old Wal-Mart location until my family members told me to check it out, plus I got a 15 percent coupon in the mail, so I headed over. It's very big and stocked with home decor, patio furniture, tons of pillows, art work, sheets, rugs and so much more. I went in looking for some home decor and ended up buying a small patio table and some dried flowers. They carry a lot of cool stuff, but I thought a lot of it was quite pricy even the clearance items. There were only two people checking out and a really long line of people. Eventually they callled for some back up. Nice place to browse of you have a lot of time. Decent selection and some decent prices. Hit and miss for my price points. read more

My husband is insistent that we need new side tables for our living room. He told me he found this great store near his work we should go check out. Now I feel like I'm getting to a point in my life and we are in a place in our lives where we can step up from IKEA but can't quite go Restoration Hardware or full on Pottery Barn. So I thought this sounded like a happy medium. Oh god was I wrong. This place was a mess! It is like the Home Goods store, Dock 86, and Big Lots threw a party, go plastered, and then didn't clean up after. Things are just sort of everywhere. It also just felt kind of dirty. Like the space just felt sort of run down and not taken care of. The stuff they were selling was not my cup of tea either. It was that style where it is trying to look classy/nicer material, but it is clearly cheap plastic or metal. If I'm going to go down the lower end of the budget route, I'd go IKEA; at least their stuff looks decent. The customer service was non existent too. You are sort of left to wander and fend for yourself. At times we were flipping through a pile of carpets. Yep, a pile. At checkout they had two people working and the line wrapped around the waiting area. I ended up leaving because I couldn't stay in there any longer. I went looking for a console table and some book shelves. Kinda like a dock 86 or Big Lots. I thought it was pretty overpriced and messy. Kind of Overstocky. Like over the top fancy/trashy type furniture no one really wants. And there's tons of wall art, but very messy and hard to dig through and as a result much of it is damaged. read more

Terrible customer service. Need help with a rug...too bad. Need help getting said rug to your vehicle...too bad. Returning said drug, which was labelled as 8x10 in store and was 7.25x9.25 once measured at home, troublesome at best. I'd give zero stars if I could. read more

First time here. Lots of cool stuff. A little over whelming. My reason for the 2 star is cause staff was not helpful or willing to take the time and answer a question. When asked to speak with a manager she turned to be one of the rude staff. I explained ro her my concern and she did not seem to care. Stated that this was a self serve store like Costco. Couldn't be more disgusted than today. Received email ad from At Home advertising 50% off Christmas. Of course that wasn't the case with Christmas storage. Although when you look at th ad a little closer you learn that. My problem is with tHe manager, instead of being helpful when I asked for corporate contact, she gave me a PT employee to resolve. So here's the thing about At Home: No, it is not Home Goods, and no, you won't get service like at Pier1 or Kirkland's. But yes, you can find incredible stuff here, especially little home accents and decor, seasonal everything, and functional things like lamps and kitchen supplies. That said, I LOVE THIS PLACE. I was introduced to it by a good friend who can well afford to shop anywhere she pleases. She finds many things here for her upscale home. While shopping at At Home, I have always seen a spectrum of customers, from moms strolling wee ones looking for inexpensive home decor, to well-dressed interior designers purchasing things for home staging or client projects. I've bought tons from this store as well as the one in Blaine. What I would choose to purchase here: stools, dining chairs, wall art, large-scale faux trees/plants, mirrors, rugs, home decor (vases, silk florals, large bowls, wire baskets...), outdoor stuff (cushions, rugs, urns...), little gifts, and seasonal decor. Also, this place is a godsend for people planning a wedding -- the silk florals are great and much less expensive than I can find anywhere for similar quality -- even online. What I would think twice about buying here: larger furniture items like tables and consoles. If you buy those, look closely and make sure you understand that you are getting a low-quality piece for your money -- some are fine and will withstand use (especially the smaller-scale end tables, anything metal/glass, or heavy wood...) but some will need to be carefully used or placed in an area that is more for display than function. One downfall is that there are few employees to assist -- in fact, you may not see one until you check out. That is NOT A PROBLEM for me. I hate being hounded by well-meaning salespeople at other stores and I like being left to puzzle out what pieces I want to add to my cart. I fully understand that this is how they keep their prices low! An additional downfall is that their website is *look only*, meaning you can not find something at a store in another location across the country and purchase it online. I have been told this may change in the future, and it can not happen fast enough for me. Bottom line: Don't expect this to be a super-sized Home Goods, although there are many similarities, and don't expect to see high quality furniture, although the furnishings they showcase are on-trend and most are good looking. Walk in with an open mind with nothing specific on your shopping list, and you can have a lot of fun here. I'm rating it 4 stars for its place in its class, not compared against higher-end/higher-priced stores -- this is simply an economical place to buy the kinds of things you don't expect to keep forever. I love buying things for the season or to give a certain room in my home an effective makeover without breaking the bank. I wish I could give zero stars but a 1 will have to do. I recently purchased 8 open metal sphere decor items from the clearance section that were marked as a red-line (50% off). I was in a rush that day and did not review my receipt prior to leaving the store. When I returned home I noticed I was charged full price for the red-line items that I purchased. I went back to the store 6 days later (I live out of town) with the items and my receipt. Despite the fact that the items were marked with a red-line, only two of the decor pieces were truly clearance, however when I purchased the items on 4/26, the cashier only rang up one or two of the decor pieces and scanned the same 2 items on the counter to account for the remaining 6 decor pieces in my cart. Seeing the mistake was made by store employees for marking incorrect items, I was hoping they would honor the discount per the advertisement. Unfortunately, I was not honored the discount for the 6 of the 8 decor pieces. I began shopping back in the clearance section pulling other red-line items to be price checked and the majority of them came back as non-clearance items. I than began matching UPC numbers from the website decor items on the shelves and there were several items that were incorrectly marked as well as items not marked clearance when they should have been marked. Staff were not accommodating to their mistake and could not offer any solutions. During my entire visit in the store when I was asking staff for help, they would advise that they would check for me and never return only to be seen doing another task in the store. I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service at this location and this store as a whole as there is a clear issue with product advertisement. I bought the items for my wedding that is less than 5 weeks away and I had to leave with different items that are similar, however they were full price and much smaller in size. It is sad to see that the staff were unwilling to make any acceptations (No discount, no price honor). Most likely will not shop here again. read more
