Bought a functional trainer from them. I did some reviews after I got home and found some lower prices. Next day I called to see if they would price match. Guy said absolutely! Gave them the info and then said the best they could do was a 100$ credit (difference was 300$) I then stated I would be returning the item and surprise! A 5% return fee! I didnt even unload the boxes from my truck. So basically they want 100$ to return an item that wasn't even used. They guy i bought it from said free 30 day returns and didn't bother mentioning the "fee" donyiur business elsewhere. read more

I made 2 purchases with At Home Fitness working with Pierre in April 2020. 1 went great the other one is still yet to be resolved 4 MONTHS later. My initial purchase of a treadmill in April was great and smooth. Pierre even put me ijnto contact with the manufacturer to get my answers (we do intervals for long distances so the ability to easily program this type of exercise was key). If this was the only transaction this review would be 5 stars. This interaction and the awesome service tech Chris is why it has 2 stars. The 2nd transaction was for an Inspire Ft2 with all of the accessories (bench, leg extension, preacher curl and accessory rack) $5k. Pierre stated they had a container full of equipment on its way and I had to pay for it all upfront. I expressed unease about paying everything up front (offered a sizeable deposit)and Pierre reassured me that they had a list of people who paid for the already on its way inventory and i was GUARANTEED to get the product. Expected delivery date end of May for the entire purchase. - May nothing - June - was told unrest was causing delays eta end of month. - Beginning of July - receive main machine, leg extension and preacher curl... no bench. Can't use the leg extension or preacher curl or do a good portion of the main machine exercises without the bench. - July - keep calling asking about the bench... keep getting told it's coming.. Pierre generously offers to SELL me another bench....ummm no I need this one to use the attachments I already have AND what would I do with 2 benches assuming I actually get what I ordered? - Very Late July or couple days into August..... bench arrives! - Aug 21 email response from Pierre stating they have not received any racks to date from Inspire. No ETA. - 8/29 still no date on the rack So I am left wondering... - How much did this store oversell their allocated inventory? - Does the store not keep track of who they SELL to and the order of placement? - How much is to blame from Inspire? (Pierre was VERY convincing on the purchase date that everything I was ordering was en route). How could Inspire short them all of the accessories?? Lesson learned - I should have disputed the transaction with my credit card company so I would not be financially responsible for the charges until I received everything. Yes I get the pandemic situation is unprecedented and unpredictable. However Pierre stated that they were controlling the number of units to only sell what was already coming AND created a sense of urgency to make the sale stating "we only have a few more that are not spoken for yet." I will update the review if/when I receive the last item. PS the Inspre FT2 is great piece of equipment....just probably buy it elsewhere..... read more

Great customer service and great products. I have been on the market in search of some home gym equipment. I have been scouring the internet, reading reviews, and watching video demonstrations for home gyms. I ended up here and received excellent service. Greg and Pierre helped me on separate days. They were patient in describing the differences between the equipment, demonstrating how to use the equipment, and I was also able to try the equipment out myself. At Home Fitness has some great quality products in their store. Many of them come with lifetime warranties. I ended up purchasing from the store and cannot wait for my home gym to arrive. The inspire m2 is amazing! I had a fantastic experience with the store associate and I hope the same level of service is reflected with the delivery guys. We bought a BH elliptical from here. Could not have been happier with the service. The sales associate who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to zero in on what we needed very quickly. Plus, we were able to take advantage of the Fourth of July $500 off special, so we got a great deal on an otherwise expensive piece of equipment. We were also pleased with the install crew. They called us literally the next day after our purchase and when I didn't answer the first time, they called back at a later part of the day after leaving a message. That's great service. Plus, their crew arrived promptly on the schedule date/time. We are very satisfied customers. We've owned the elliptical for less than a month, but so far so good! read more

My husband and I went to At Home Fitness to look a couple of used elliptical machines. We were shown about 4, then redirected to a new Life Fitness machine that was much more than we expected to spend, but a special buy about 50% off a quality and warrantied machine was a no brainer for us. We ended up going with this machine for the warranty and the Brand was what they use in gyms. We hope to have this machine for many years to come. It was the perfect size and exactly what we were looking for. We feel really good about our purchase and trust that if we do have any issues At Home Fitness will be there to help. read more

My wife and I went to At Home Fitness to look at home gyms. We had done some shopping in other stores and on At Home's website so we pretty much had something in mind. Pierre was the rep we worked with at the store. After telling him our goals, he guided us to a different type of machine from what we were thinking of. Everything he said made perfect sense. We ended up purchasing a Torque Fitness F2 based on his recommendation. And, now that we've worked with if for a few days, we couldn't be happier. The machine is very versatile, smooth, and easy to adjust for different exercises. Pierre took his time with us and was extremely knowledgable. He could have steered us in many different directions. But he steered us to the best machine for us and our goals (by far not the most expensive). Our home gym was delivered 3 days later. Assembling it was fairly easy (although it took about 4 hours). The equipment was very well packed and marked to ease the assembly. I would definitely recommend At Home Fitness if you are in the market for fitness equipment. read more

Classic bait-&-switch advertising. Called the manager ("Pierre") on a Friday, was advised that two used treadmills were both available (as listed on craigslist.com). Cleared my balance on my card (which did not update until that following Monday), put it on my schedule to pay a visit to the shop on Monday night after work (so that I would be ready to buy THAT DAY instead of driving all the way down there, looking, telling them that I need a few days for something to clear, etc). The ad was updated 20 hours prior to my visit (with the selling price increasing to an amount that was $200 more than what it was listed for on the Friday I called). I drove for nearly an hour, through afternoon rush hour (TERRIBLE) traffic, wallet in hand, ready to buy... I finally get there, I park, I walk in. Both units are right there next to the door (for all to see), & then this salesperson ("Chad") walks in from somewhere in the back & tells me to feel free to "get on anything to try it out/etc.".. Shortly after noticing the models that were listed/updated on craigslist, I take him up on his offer & waste no time getting on one of the two treadmills I am interested in purchasing (mind you, I am NOT interested in anything else, I am not in ANY way confused about what i'm looking for/what specs I need/etcetcetc; I know EXACTLY what I want, & this is the ONLY reason why I drove all the heck way down there in rush hour traffic)... No sooner than I get on one of the two treadmills, the guy starts running through his "pushy salesperson/distract the customer, ask them 101 questions & act like they're stupid" script & immediately tells me that the units I am looking at are "reserved" (BOTH of them) as soon as I start checking out the first of the two. Mind you, he made no eye contact while telling me this, & I was definitely noticing this as I re-confirmed the fact that he was claiming BOTH units were suddenly "reserved" (after the ad was just updated less than 24 hours prior). From there, he talks down to me (again, like i'm stupid), telling me that what I want for home use is "overkill" (as if it's HIS place to tell me what my needs are & i'm just another dumb customer who hasn't spent weeks/months researching the very model that the craigslist ad claimed to have available for sale in store)... No sooner than he starts telling me what he feels is "overkill" for home use (seemingly clueless about the fact that I know EXACTLY what I want & I know EXACTLY what specs i'm looking for), he tries to "bait-&-switch" sell me on another brand-new model that goes a little faster than the used model I drove all the heck way down there to buy but also costs MORE THAN TWICE THE AMOUNT IT WOULD HAVE COST TO BUY BOTH OF THE USED UNITS COMBINED (TAX INCLUDED)... Classic "bait-&-switch" advertising folks, & to say i'm fed up with the tactic is an understatement. Sad when you try to give local companies like this some business, only to realize that they will often waste even MORE of your time than the online shops. I guess I learned my lesson here in regards to the fact that shopping locally is often times a worse option than just shopping online. Don't get me started on the fact that the sales guy claimed that SUPPOSEDLY none of their used units have a warranty... I honestly refuse to believe this, especially when the manager claims that they have their own repair/installation crew/etc. (& most SANE people aren't going to spend upwards of $3,000 on a treadmill that has no warranty), but at this point it really doesn't matter. When a company does "bait-&-switch" advertising like this, I take my business elsewhere & I don't return; If you're like me, just save yourself the phone call/time/drive & look elsewhere. Not for one minute am I convinced that it was a COINCIDENCE that they list TWO identical treadmills, claim that both are "reserved" once you arrive to look at them & then try to push you towards another "brand new" unit that costs just over TWICE the amount you would have paid for the item you were actually planning to purchase. Sorry for the late review but I just found my order. We purchased in April 2019. I just read most reviews on Yelp, short and long, and my mouth just about dropped when I came across Pierre's name a couple times. Those reviewers reviews don't even match or compare to my experience with Pierre. My husband and I walked into the store one day and Pierre kindly approached us. Asked what we were looking for, showed us some exercises on a FT and let us do the exercises ourselves, etc....keep in mind we don't like to be bothered with our shopping. So during our shopping experience we felt no way pressured or like we were dealing with a salesman when working with Pierre. We were out shopping for a Functional Trainer and 4 months later we are still very pleased with our purchase. Pierre was helpful from day one of meeting him. We even got to talking about hiking and outdoor adventures - his and ours! He came across to us as a friendly, knowledgeable worker. And, the day I was working out and the carabiner broke (freaked me out!!!!) I called the store and he was there to help me right away. I'm happy that we chose this store to purchase at (we did our shopping around:-) and they have a good amount of fitness equipment. read more

We had done a lot of research, communicating with professional rowers, and went in to look at a Waterrower that At Home Fitness had. The whole experience was just painful. The sales person, he turned out to be the general manager for the store - Pierre Dufresne, just pushed what he wanted to sell, the Life Core machines, and tore down any other brand. He was just beating a dead horse, saying over and over that if you didn't have resistance you could not get a good workout (I really don't need to hear that 30 or 40 times, no matter what words you use to say it). Well I knew better from my past experience on rowers and my research with professional rowers and a few minutes on the Waterrower confirmed what I had researched. I tried to get the salesman to stop going on and on about the same stuff saying in a very irritated tone that I knew about resistance. That slowed him down a few minutes then he was back pushing us to buy what he wanted us to buy. Just beating that dead horse some more - it was pure torture to have to listen to him. As we walked out my husband said the salesman just drove a sale away and why would he treat us that way when they had an empty shop (we were the only ones there). But I said the salesman was there to sale what he wanted (the markup he wanted, etc.), and could have cared less what we were interested in buying or in giving us a quality machine. IMO - the salesman obviously didn't understand water rowers at all, and I doubt if he really understand rowers at all. His whole - this is how you use them and I used this model for X months... went directly against what I was taught by a top notch trainer. A second huge red flag... While Pierre said about 4 times how we really wanted to buy the rower from him as their service was so much better than other peoples and how they would bend the "warrentee" by letting you assemble the unit rather than have a fitness equipment installer do it, they did not service the floor models. The Waterrower had a very loud clicking sound as it was being used, so loud you could hardly hear the water sound which should have been the only sound you heard. We knew that was wrong. I asked the salesman about the sound and he said oh yeah, that sound it is the pully clutch (as if it was a normal sound). I did a quick internet search and found a Waterrower debug and fix problems page saying it was the pully or a lump/knot where the strap attached. I told this to my husband and said both can be fixed. The salesman said a dismissive "That is my floor model.". Someone who had not done their research would think that was the normal sound the Waterrower made and that sound would discourage them from buying the machine (obnoxious to be in the same room with that sound). But let me ask, why would anyone buy a machine from someone who can not service their own floor models when they claim they do great service within a day of all the models they sell? And then look at the review that talked how they were sold a treadmill that would not work, got a replacement, and then had to fight to get a refund. Does that sound like someone who sells quality products and services them well? I strongly suggest you go find someone who will give you honest information about exercise equipment and not just push to sell what they want to sell while tearing down other models that are industry leaders (e.g. professionals use them for a reason. Or at least visit several shops that sell different brands so you start getting the idea that some like this company just push what they want to sell (reasons like high markups or ...) and don't give you honest information about products. read more

After a very frustrating experience with two (2) BH 5STi treadmills, both of which failed to work properly as implied by warranty, At Home Fitness has been delinquent in issuing a refund to me for the returned merchandise per contract. On May 17, 2016, I returned, for a second time, a non-working treadmill sold to me by AtHomeFitness. The following day, May 18, 2016 I transacted with At Home Fitness to obtain my refund via my credit card, issued a credit receipt, and I was assured that my credit card would be refunded within 5 days less any fees per contract. When I inquired about the delay, I was told by Greg that I need to deal with my credit card company. My credit card company says the credit should have processed as long as the merchant finalized it. When I inquired of a second time, the sales representative Nick even indicated that he was surprised that I hadn't received my credit ( he said it should have been 5 days) It is now, May 30, 2016, and I have not yet received my refund, I am without a treadmill and now have the inconvenience of having to dispute this charge with this merchant. I do not recommend this model nor do I recommend this vendor. Stay with quality brands and do your research. read more
