I could literally walk around this store for hours. They have great deals and had a ton of clearance items right now. I always feel like I am getting a great deal for their prices. This is a good place to come if you are looking for a wide variety of mostly cheap decor; they have tons of stuff from furniture to lamps to holiday items to outdoor stuff to candles to knick knacks....just be careful when choosing an item to really inspect it for quality - lots of the stuff is scratched, dinged, cracked, broken, etc. Not much quality control when it comes to what gets put out on the shelves, plus there is so much loaded on that I imagine things get damaged by customers. However, I can generally always find something I want to buy here and it is fun to walk around and get inspired with new ways to refresh your space. read more

My initial visit to this rebranded Garden Ridge Pottery store was pretty overwhelming yet exciting. It's like a massive warehouse filled with a bunch of stuff. Their carts are even oversized and have a nifty cup holder that fits my Starbucks cup perfectly. Each aisle from floor to ceiling is stocked full of neat items from huge Xmas outdoor decor * xmas ornaments * dog statues * art * patio furniture * artificial trees + flowers * closet/kitchen/bath needs. You get the point. I often purchase a lot of dog items from here and auction off online for our dog rescue. Pricing is pretty affordable and they always have specials weekly. Buyer beware! The old Garden Ridge store now called At Home..... Signed up for their perks program expecting the 10% off on my next purchase that's clearly stated on their website. First issue, I asked about the discount at the register and was told I should have an email that links to the discount. I received an email but nothing about a discount. I was told to give it 24 hours. That was 4 days ago and I still don't have it. 2nd issue, displayed signage advertised sales in different areas of the store. The back wall with Christmas signs said 60% off. Another sign by the furniture cushions said 50% off. I purchased items from both sections and found out after checkout the discounts didn't apply. I asked about the cushions and was told only certain ones were on sale. Decided to keep the cushion but found a 50% off sticker on the tag after I got home! I don't know what kind of scam they're trying to pull but I won't be going back if this is the way they do business. read more

WARNING!!! This store is addicting! Finally decided to come here after driving past it plenty o' times and ended up making some purchases for my home, this is every Suburban mom's Toyland! Bought everything anywhere from my King Size bed along with frame, to all my decorative toiletries, lamps, kids room decor, and outdoor decor. I was so hooked! The place isn't very fancy, definitely a "warehouse" type but all they focus is on their products and low prices. They have a couple floor samples on rooms which some ideas I did steal for my son's and daughter's room. My kids and I literally scavenged through their clearance sections and we have no regrets! Their clearance isn't like other places where the style isn't "in" but more like they are making more space for newer items, some items were just in season like a week ago and yet they have new styles in. I did signed up for their rewards which is very generous (mind you I will most likely shop here more than usual). I. LOVE. AT. HOME. This store is huge and a smorgasbord of home decor goodies that just make me all giddy inside when I come. I go through spurts of trying to get my home fully decorated (chile it's been over 3 years) and when I get the itch, AH is definitely one of the places I come. There is just an abundance of everything here. I love the pillow section being color coordinated. I bought some gorg feeling huge pillows here for $20/pop *swoon worthy* for my bedroom. I'm also in love with the amount of wall decor and other regular home decor items they carry. Everything you want for many different tastes. Decent prices & sales for the most part but some items I do feel overpriced so I do a wait & see until it goes on sale. The one thing I think they lack on is area rugs. I have yet to find one I like plus they don't seem to carry large rugs either. 9x12 ppl, get with it! This last visit, I ended up having a very nice conversation with an employee by the name of Jazz/Jas. I asked for her help getting some pillows that were stuck in the middle of the very bottom of a large display in the front of the store. She literally got down there and went between the top part of the display and pulled the pillows out and also told me about more that was down there that I was unable to see. Coincidentally, she ended up on the register when I went to check out and I blamed her for all the money I dropped on that visit lol which turned into a nice conversation. I really do not understand the negative reviews about this store. We went for the first time on a Sunday afternoon and fell in love! We recently bought a home and needed stuff to decorate and this store did not disappoint. Shelves upon shelves of super cute and stylish decor, as far as the eye can see. They had everything I needed and are very reasonably priced. The store itself was extremely well organized and very clean. The employees were very friendly and helpful. This is one of those stores where if I go on my own, I'll go way overboard and get myself into trouble. Not sure if they're under new management or if we went at a good time, but I personally don't think this store deserves the bad ratings it's gotten. We will absolutely be making this our new home decor/furnishings place! read more

When i was here i was saved by one of the lady employees. There was a man who kept following me and hitting on me and was lingering around me after i had turned him down multiple times. I informed the employee and she made sure that he didn't come back inside. She let me hang around for about 15 more minutes so i could walk to my car safely. read more

My wife has been trying to pull me into At Home for years and I always would sit in the car and wait (1 - 2 hours) until she finished her shopping. Which she would say I was only going for one thing! I had some time to spare and f*cked up and walked in here to look at patio furniture. Man, was I impressed. I felt like I wanted to buy any and everything. LAWD I'm glad they don't have salesmen because I would be broke. They have any and everything I could think of that I "needed" for my house. The way they setup the displays is EXCELLENT! I'll definitely be in here on my lunch breaks buying unnecessary stuff because yall made it look good! read more

Alright so this is going to be long , I was working here for almost 2 months. The MANAGERS are very UNPROFESSIONAL especially the head manager. Everything in the store either doesn't work or it's damaged and customers complained a lot. Making only $10 for a high priced company should be illegal. They get mad at you if you don't sign people up for perks or the credit card! This establishment need to be managed by someone better. If I could put no stars I definitely would. I've been to the cypress location where they where very professional and organized. Oh yea and when you get hired they don't tell you that your also a custodian. Okay I will admit, I'm a fan of Garden Ridge. Not just during the holidays but all times of the year. It's nice just to walk around and look at the many different selections they carry of little household nick knacks for inside and out. Anyone into designing will have a field day here. I can imagine most go here during the Christmas holiday as they have a giant selection of Christmas decor. I can't bring myself to the point of rating them more than 3 stars because, although I like the store, I completely loath the checkout procedure they have. The checkout procedures is one very long line that wraps around a wall. You don't get to see the cashiers until you make it around the other side of the wall. Then it's splits as a cashier is free. The line is just too intimidating to stand in no matter how good of a deal you can find. More than once have a walked the entire store, found some items I liked, got to the front to checkout and abandoned my cart because of the long line. I don't know the secret time to go to when there isn't such a long line to were it wouldn't matter, but just the thought of it makes me not go here as often as I would if they would overhaul this method. Ran in to quickly pick up a few things .... Store was surprisingly clean and neat given the earlier weekend holiday madhouse/crunch. Place was deserted - perfect! There were maybe 10 people in the entire store, with half that - employees. Why a great review above but only 2* ? Employees set the image and when you have 2 cashiers, 1 assisting a customer and the other not doing anything but being lazy (not acknowledge only customer in line, playing at their station, walking in front of waiting customer while dabbling with an invisible something then meandering back to furthest cash register, keeping back to customer and when convenient - turn around and yell next in line) Huh? The employee obviously didnt care how she looked or how she wanted herself (or employer) to be remembered by.... she nailed it.. cheap and pathetic. read more

I'm a big fan a Garden Ridge! They have anything you could want there to decorate your home, get ready for any holiday, arts and crafts goods, and more! I've even bought furniture from there! My couch and table are from Garden Ridge. They were the perfect prices and perfect starter pieces of furniture. Way better quality than Wal-mart or Ikea and wayyy cheaper! The only unfortunate thing about Garden Ridge is that although they offer a wide variety of art and other types of wall decor for your home, it is all way too expensive. False advertising. Rude employees. Horrible management. First trip: Broken merchandise, okay. Looking for a discount. Cannot do a discount. Finally negotiate a discount, then they say no return. Fair enough. But my goodness! Second trip: purchased a chair. Chair didn't work out with our counter. We decided to return the chair. Third trip: This was supposed to be an exchange. The lady helping us said that it was too complicated for her to do an exchange and instead issued a refund. This really should have been the point where we left. ...and we didn't. We bought a second chair at proper measurements. We were excited it said 25% of ALL furniture. The sign was conveniently next to our chair. Got in the long line to pay. They had a bag of chocolates for $4.99. I wanted those! Get to the register and the chocolates rang up as $10.99. I point to the cashier how the sign says $4.99 to which she responds they are all (I mean bags neatly placed) in the wrong place. Fine. Don't want them. She proceeds to ring up our chair. I told her it was ringing up for the full price but that it's supposed to be discounted 25%. She tells me the chair must have been in the wrong place. What?!?!!! No! All dozen of the chairs were in the same place. Even if that was the fact, the sign said ALL furniture 25% off. She calls the manager over, and the manager said the sign does not apply to all furniture. Yes... the sign that says ALL furniture does not apply to ALL furniture. Only some furniture, the manager tells us, is part of the ALL furniture sign... That will be my last time shopping at this store. read more

Top 3 stores for home decor and various others things. They have a variety of items fit for every shoppers taste. I came in during their 50-75% clearance sale, which I'm is probably still going on, just check their website to make sure. Boy did I make out like a bandit! This store has the same effect on me like Target does. I walk in determined to only go straight to the area I need/want, but it never works out that way. My soul seems to escape my body and wander around purchasing things and we meet up at the register when it's time to pay. I was looking for a wicker basket for a photoshoot and was extremely pleased with the ease of locating what I needed. Area was extremely organized and I found exactly what I needed. 3 wicker baskets, greenery, picture frames and an iron board cover later, I found myself checking out. Paid under $100 for everything. I also asked the cashier if the baskets didn't work out for me, would I be able to return them even though they are on clearance and he said yes, up to 60 days with receipt.... Like these 2 people might make you end up in jail they are so rude and maddening. Went to this place today to pick up a Christmas tree...we picked out the T2 white tree with switchable lights from white to colored. Low and behold--we get it home get it all set up and plugged in and the lights didn't work. We tried to return it to the store and the manager basically told my husband he was a thief and that its an old tree. Corporate will be hearing about this one and I will not stop until the little brat is jobless. Absolutely awful customer service. Janett thinks it's okay to call customers a bitch and walk away. This is what I sent to corporate...lets see if they even give a crap. I don't think they will and I won't be going back. Such a disappoinment. This happened at the Houston Willowbrook store. My roommate and I went shopping and were having a great time looking at your clearance as well as all of the holiday stuff. I wanted to purchase a hammock and hammock stand. The hammock stand was not marked if it was clearance or not but was in the clearance section. I tried the price check scanner but it didn't work. It was a job to lift a hammock stand up to it repeatedly so it was very disconcerting that it didn't work. So I approached the cashier at the front on the end (a blonde older woman). I waited for pause in her duties of checking out a couple and asked if there were another price check machine to use because that one was broken. She told me that I would have to get it checked by a cashier and then turned away from me. So I said "so, I will have to stand in that long line just to see how much this thing costs?". She rudely with an aggravated attitude told me " ma'am I can't help it". She then turned away from me. I was furious! Even a dollar store would have reached over to give me a quick scan for a price! How ridiculous to tell a customer, who is STILL SHOPPING, that they would need to stand in a long line just to fund out how much something costs in your store! And to have to be TOLD OFF in such a rude manner on top of it all! My roommate and I both emptied our full baskets out into a display bin and walked out. I will not be returning to this store where I am clearly not appreciated as a not only a customer but a human being! Perhaps if you had associates working the floor, or a functional price check machine or, hey, maybe even a NICE person with customer service skills on the register, I would have made a purchase and not be on my way to a multitude of poor reviews for your store. I visited this particular At Home store to complete a return. The cashier was friendly, however, the supervisor Emma was rude from the beginning. After she refused to return my broken bowl(per the managers order), she walked away and left me standing at the register. The cashier did return my other items, or so I thought. When I got home, I discovered I was charged for my return items. I revisited the store the following day, and once again I encountered Emma. She explained that she could not and would not refund all of my items because he hadn't recharged me. So, after spending $1300 originally, I was charged another $300 and the store has all of my merchandise. Emma once again refused to help me. She advised me that the store manger asked me to come back a 3rd time when he's on duty. So now I'm $600 in and no merchandise. At Home stole my money and my merchandise. This store is great! Brad the manager is amazing! I was hunting all over for a very specific tree that was sold out all over town. He took down a display tree for me and held it until I could get there because I live an hour away. He even gave me a 10% discount because it was a floor model.
