Warning: This review is a storybook…read more Where do I begin? Crossroads Animal Clinic holds a special place in my heart because of how they cared for my childhood cat, Storm, for nearly 19 years. Throughout her life, they were there for everything, from routine checkups and vaccinations to urgent situations that required same-day treatment. No matter what she needed, they consistently provided prompt, knowledgeable, and compassionate care. Storm was the sweetest cat, but she definitely gave them a hard time. The staff were endlessly patient with her and somehow managed to keep her calm enough to limit her protests to meowing, growling, and "angrily eating Churus." The ladies at the front desk have always been kind and welcoming, and the technicians consistently took the time to explain treatment plans, medications, and recommendations so that I always felt informed and supported. As Storm entered her senior years and developed health issues, including hyperthyroidism, the team helped us manage her conditions and maintain her quality of life for as long as possible. Their guidance, monitoring, and dedication allowed her to enjoy many joyful years that we might not otherwise have had together. They never treated her like just another patient. They recognized her well and were happy to see her. And when it was finally time to say goodbye, they were extraordinary. I had hoped to let her go at home, but due to the rapid progression of brain cancer and the lack of availability for an at-home appointment, Crossroads was there when we needed them most. They provided the most intentional and compassionate end-of-life care I could have hoped for. It never felt like a "scary day at the vet." Instead, it felt more like hospice care for a beloved family member, carried out with love, dignity, and respect. They also created a beautiful keepsake with Storm's paw prints and a place for her photo, and we received a card signed by the entire staff offering condolences and sharing kind words about her. Those gestures meant more to me than I can express and were a reflection of how deeply the staff cares for both their patients and their families. Dr. Tovrea and Dr. King are exceptional veterinarians who have earned my complete trust. They cared for Storm throughout her long life and helped guide my partner, Hayden, and me through one of the hardest days a pet owner can possibly imagine. We will continue to trust them with any future furry family members. In fact, they recently connected us with a beautiful baby boy kitten who needed a home and turns out to be the perfect addition to our family. Hayden loved Storm as his own and was by her side through her golden years, so it means a great deal to both of us to have another beloved companion to raise and welcome into our home. Crossroads understands and genuinely cares about their clients, both the furry ones and the human ones. We can't thank them enough for helping Storm live such a long, happy, and healthy life despite the challenges. The compassion they showed her, and us, is something we will never forget. With love, Hailey and Hayden

PLEASE! PLEASE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG TO NOAH'S BARK AND PURRS!…read more On 17 May, at 8:55 a.m. , I took our little 18 month old Shih Tzu/ Bichon Frise' mix, to Noah's Bark and Purrs to be groomed. He was matted but not horribly. I was told by Stormy that he would have to be shaved down, and i was also asked to sign a waiver, because shaving mats can cause or reveal injuries. Stormy stated that pictures would be taken to show how he was matted, after being shaved. At 1:47 p.m. , I texted to see how our little fur baby was doing, Stormy replied that he was doing well and that they would call shortly. After being notified to pick up our baby, when arrived Stormy came out later and began showing me the pictures. Not one time did she mention his injury, as she was scrolling through the pictures, I saw the pic with our baby and a bloody cut on the left cranial region. She explained that this happens when a dog is matted and gets shaved. Then, she brought out our little fella. He had this glue substance over his cut and it was still bloody around the area. She stated that she didn't realize that she had injured him because he didn't make a sound. She stated that our little baby was okay and that I should take him home and let him rest, because she had spoken with the Vet about his injury and that the Vet instructed her to cover our little fella with the glue substance. We later learned that the Vet was not working, but has been retired for several years. I told her that I would like for our fur baby to be seen by his Vet, to take a look at his injury. Stormy stated that it was not necessary; because he's going to be fine and that I would incur a Vet bill. I don't understand why she said that she didn't hear him make a sound when he ended up receiving 5 stitches- believe our poor baby yelped with an injury as such. First, I was NEVER notified, prior to picking him up, that our poor baby had incurred an injury during grooming. I did not realize he was injured until I saw the pictures. Secondly, Stormy made excuses that this is something that happens, and she never did apologize- only more excuses, and how she has 20 years experience. Thirdly, if it was a serious injury why would she called a Retired Vet for instructions and why wasn't we notified. Upon leaving Noah's Bark and Purrs, I immediately went straight to our baby's Vet, despite Stormy suggesting that I take him home to rest, upon arrival, his Vet, I explained what happened and they took him immediately and begin treating him. He was clipped and clean around the area, and soak the glue to remove it. Not to mentioned, our baby required FIVE STITCHES! We are so furious as to how this occurred from shaving a matted pet, and he was not severely matted! If I taken our fur baby home, he could incurred a serious infection and GOD knows what else. He also had a temperature of 101. I'm positive it was from the injury and stress which Stormy and her 20 years' experience incurred.

She responded well to the kind staff. The place itself is in an older strip mall, and when you walk inside it's quite spacious -- absolutely no stacked crates, and they clean often. The results showed a mixture of cancer cells, inflammation, and fatty tissue, and I was referred to Veterinary Surgery Services for further surgery. From my very first phone call to schedule the consultation through the post-surgery follow-up, the level of care I received was nothing short of exceptional. The entire team was professional, compassionate, organized, and incredibly supportive. During the consultation, the surgeon took the time to explain everything thoroughly, making sure I understood the procedure, the possible outcomes, and what to expect. One thing I especially appreciated was their transparency. Instead of giving me a vague estimate, they provided a clear, all-inclusive price with no surprises. Anyone who has a beloved pet knows how emotional this kind of situation can be. My dog is much more than a pet--he is my companion and family. Throughout the entire process, every single person I interacted with made me feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. The best news came during surgery. Once they removed and examined the mass, they discovered it was not cancer after all--it was fatty tissue. I cannot describe the relief I felt. They called me the very same day with the wonderful news, and because my that, I was able to bring him home that afternoon instead of the following day. I want to sincerely thank everyone--from the staff who answered my phone calls, the veterinary intern, the assistant, and especially the surgeon. Every interaction reflected kindness, professionalism, honesty, and genuine compassion. In all the places I've lived throughout my life with dogs, I can honestly say this is the most professional veterinary surgical practice I have ever encountered. The facility is immaculate, the communication is outstanding, and the entire team treats both pets and their owners with incredible respect and empathy. Now I completely understand why people travel from other states to receive care here. I will forever be grateful that my veterinarian referred us to Veterinary Surgery Services. If your pet ever needs surgery, I cannot recommend this team highly enough. They not only took exceptional care of my dog--they also took care of me during one of the most stressful experiences a pet owner can face. Thank you for giving my baby fur the opportunity to enjoy many more happy years by my side.
