Delicious food and friendly owners/staff!! A good local place to support. We need more vegan restaurants in this world! Even if you aren't veg you'll like it.

Crispy chickn handheld with fries & side of Mac n cheese
    Cecilia L.

Finally got to check this spot out on Saturday as I start going to restaurants for #PHXVRW I ordered the crispy chicken handheld and a side of Mac N cheez. The bun was soft and "buttery" and the breading was nice and crisp while the chicken was soft & moist. I am not good at tolerating spice of any kind, even pepper, so I couldn't do the cabbage and sauce on the bun (scraped it off), but the residual flavor was poppin and I still enjoyed the whole sandwich. Because I took the order to go, the steam/moisture from the container made the fries a little soggy, but I revived them in the air fryer and they were scrumptious. Packed with flavor and the perfect compliment to the sandwich. I have missed eating Mac n' Cheese, and this order absolutely hit the spot. It was super creamy and rich for vegan cheese, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Can't wait to come back for their desserts!!

The service was good! The bathroom smelled disgusting, thankfully I just had to wash my hands but so gross! Let's get to the food! Mostly everything was just too sweet to me! The beans were too sweet, the collard greens too sweet, Mac and cheese had no flavor and the noodles were over cooked. The ribs again, the sauce on them. Too sweet. The fried chicken and food rolls were the best things! I wanted to try the twisted corn on the cob, but they didn't have any! The starry soft drink was disgusting I took 1 sip and didn't drink anymore. Needless to say I will not be back! Beans 2 stars Cookies & Cream shake 2 1/2 stars Cornbread 3 stars Fried chicken 3 1/2 stars Hood rolls 3 stars Mac & cheese 1 star Ribs 2 stars Starry soft drink 1 star

The best vegan soul food I've ever had in my life and thank goodness to TikTok for sharing this recommendation. The Nanas Soul comes with Plant Based Ribs, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese and Bussin Baked Beans. When I visited though, the baked beans weren't available so I got an extra side of Mac & Cheese which was delicious. Super flavorful and delicious! Super excited to try more in the future.

Nana's XL and twisted corn. Not pictured peach cobbler...equally delicious.

This place was fantastic! I'm vegan, but my friend that joined me is not. I've taken her to several vegan places in the few years we've been friends and she said this was her favorite, hands down! She also said it was the best vegan Mac and cheese she's ever had. We will be back! My son loves fried pickles, so I need to bring him here to try them.

My favorite thing I tried here were the lemon pepper wings!! Loved the flavor and the slight crispness of the wings. The collard greens and ribs came in at a close second.

Initially I had saved BYOV as a vegan restaurant to try, and drove to this location to find out that it was permanently closed. At first I was disappointed as I eat vegetarian, and love trying new plant-based locations. I began searching my other saved locations, but decided to check out Nana's Kitchen to see what replaced the former BYOV. When I went to Yelp/Google, I was thrilled a vegan place replaced a vegan place. What are the odds! I do have a peanut and almond allergy, so vegan places can be a little tricky to navigate. Wish their website listed better for food allergies as I felt it would inconvenience to ask. I went with what I thought would be safe, and loved their featured menu item. Next time I visit (yes, it's that good for me to drive to Chandler), I will definitely go during an off time to inquire more about the website or may write the restaurant in advance as the soul food plate is calling my name for sure! Great locally owned location that I would suggest any one try, even if they don't eat plant-based as the food was delicious!

This vegan soul food restaurant was worth a try. I found it on tik tok. Great customer service. The lemonade was by far my favorite thing I tried. The rolls would've been better if the yams weren't so mushy. I like chunks in mine. The fries were somewhat sweet. I'm not sure if it was cinnamon or brown sugar. The cauliflower was crunchy and savory. I would like to go back and try the fish and grits.

Our bartender was very nice and she explained Patent 139 brews in small batches and features beer from local breweries. My husband ordered a Neon Blaster Blonde and buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower were tangy and spicy. Definitely a good choice to stop in when in Chandler.

Very nicely decorated with their theme. The street view seating was shaded and the misters were on which kept it cool. Street traffic was a bit loud but not too bad, the front parking buffered the noise. Our server greeted us quickly and was jam packed with suggestions of comparable commercial beers to their brand of beers. Not going to lie, their brand is delicious and actually a bit better than the commercial brand We had their Dead out & Dont F it up. Dead out is a must try, I'm not in any way a dark ale person but this was by far more tasty than the Don't f it up. However both were wonderful. The food is not a reason to go. We both had tacos and shared onion rings. The meat was cooked perfectly but the sauce was less palatable, flavors were too overpowering and drenched sauce. It killed the flavor of the meat itself. When mentioned it to the server, she simply shrugged and stated they do have "heat", I said that it was too much on there, lifted a piece with my fork and it was dripping, covered. Heat was not the issue, too much was. The sauce itself was tasty, but took away from the dish. Had it been on a chip of a fry dipped into it would have been better. Duly noted, next ask for it on the side, let the meat itself shine through. Lastly, the onion ring were truly disappointing. Arrived a very cool room temperature. They arrived few minutes after the tacos, and after reminding the server as we had ordered them. Almost felt as if they were ready on time by the kitchen staff, she was purely overwhelmed and simply, forgot. Small portion and my opinion not an option on my future visit again. Soggy and very greasy, perhaps would have been better if served hot and on time. Worth a visit, may go again. Maybe. Definitely go for the extensive list of brews, here is where they shine.
