I was in the area and my friend wanted to have Thai food for lunch. We wanted to give this place a try since it had four stars on Yelp. The menu was a little questionable since they had more Vietnamese food options on the menu rather than Thai food. My friend wanted to order the Thai Noodle Boat but asked if it was prepared the traditional Thai way with beef blood. The waiter asked the chef and came back to state no its not prepared the traditional way. So my friend decided to order the drunken noodles instead. We had ordered spring rolls and beef salad as appetizers. I ordered pad Thai as an entree. The spring rolls was not your traditional spring rolls it had mango in it. The beef salad was not anything like the Thai version. All the dishes were extremely sweet. I would say this restaurant is not an authentic Thai Food. If you are looking for Authentic Thai Food this is not the place. read more

Paradise is not a place but a state of mind. I had been wanting Thai but I also wanted to try a new place. A quick search on the Yelp app later and I found Paradise Kitchen! They serve both Thai and Vietnamese food here and it actually ended up being exactly what I wanted. I ordered an order of Fresh Spring Rolls with Tofu ($5.50), the 1/2 Duck Curry Noodle -1/2 Duck ($23.95), and a Thai Fried Rice Dinner with beef ($11.95) on the Yelp app. The given time was precise and my food was hot and ready when I went to pick it up. Let me tell you that not one bad bite was had. I don't think I'd order their spring rolls again though because they were a bit cumbersome to eat and pretty much exploded from the crazy amount of noodles, lettuce, tofu, and shredded carrots packed inside. This appetizer was pretty much a meal in itself. As for the half duck, duck curry noodle dinner, they actually forgot my noodles and gave me rice instead which was a little disappointing since I was going to have Thai fried rice on the side as is. But I'm not mad! That curry was so insanely good and the rice absorbed every drop of that good good curry. As for the Thai fried rice, at spice level "hot," it was amazing. It came in a huge box that nearly buckled from the weight alone. It was crazy good. Seriously some darn good food here! Minus the exploding spring rolls and noodle mishap, I was pleased. Located in a strip mall on Alma School & Ray you'll find this little gem .. The owner is a one man show.. he takes your order, makes the food, delivers it to your table, refills your drinks.. welcomes new diners in, takes phone orders.. pretty effortless! And he does it with a smile!! The place was empty when I walked in, I asked the owner what he recommended.. Thai basil with chicken .. medium heat and a side of egg rolls.. food came out timely and hot!! The egg rolls were a little greasy but overall the food had lots of flavor, and the serving sizes were generous. Wow. What's not to love about this place? I have had a bad streak of luck with Arizona Thai Food, being let down by places like Chon Thai, Thai Basil & Yupha's. So, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered off of UberEats, but hey, I was starving, and Thai is my favorite cuisine. First off, the food came VERY quickly, like around 30 minutes quickly, which is both good and a bit of a red flag as good food takes time. The one thing was that I wasn't given any utensils but that's no big deal. However, I was not disappointed by the quality of the Pad Thai. I was quite caught off guard by the portion size. HUGE! For only around $11, there was probably 4x the amount of food I usually receive. And, it was still HOT! Flavor wise- it was perfectly Mild like I requested- with a sweet hint. I also appreciated how many vegetables/peanuts were included- some restaurants like to skimp on that. It even came with some sort of Crab Puff- that was good too. With those humongous portions, I'll be sure to check it out again. Also I hardly ever give 5 Star Ratings, so don't take this lightly Paradise. You broke my 1 Star Thai Food Streak! read more

We were nearby at skateland and I ordered for pick up from here. Not sure of the name of the salad I got but it had beef in it and every part of it was delicious! A really nice serving as well. The parts that were supposed to be cold and crispy were and the dressing was light,refreshing and sweet. Really good! Several times I thought wow this is just so good. It felt like I treated myself! I included a photo but it's deceiving because that salad is deep and layered and it was damn delicious. I also ordered the Tom kha gai soup the one with coconut milk and it was so good. A little spicy but just perfect with lots of chicken and veggies inside. I love soup and could not stop eating this even when it was temperature wise too hot lol. Also the lady working the register was very helpful and nice and did such a nice job with the food and packaging. She was very sweet. I was pretty happy with my first trip here and definitely will be back. The employees were friendly, I ordered online for take out which was super easy, and the prices were good. The food was tasty. I got the yellow curry and drunken noodles--no complaints. The crab buffs (not sure if it's a typo or intentional) are probably my new favorite of anywhere I've been in recent history. As far as spice goes: I handle southwestern kinds of spice better than most Asian kinds of spice. I think I got level 3, and for me it had a nice flavorful spice but was still very much edible. If you're used to more from your Thai cuisine definitely go up that scale I've seen a few reviews complain of the smoke smell. I don't know if it is from the restaurant or not, but I do know there is an American Legion right next door and wonder if that might be contributing. Either way, I was there for pick up so it didn't bother me. Give it a shot if you haven't yet. Definitely worth it in my book. read more

Stopped in here for a quick lunch since my daughter had a half day off school and this is close to my CPA office. No one in here but since it was just before noon I did not have any worries. We are huge Thai food fans as we spent last fall break in Phuket for 12 days and had a blast. My daughters favorite is Red curry and it did not disappoint here at all. In fact she lived it and it was a huge amount of food with a cup soup and spring roll to boot for $8.95 so very reasonable. I opted for a low carb option (no rice) and tried the Tom Yum Soup with chicken - which was also amazing. The soup had a very tasty broth and some spice to boot layered with basil, chicken and many mushrooms that were not crispy but not soggy either. Great customer service, I ordered for delivery and shortly after received a call from the restaurant, she asked if I had tried their lemon fish before and explained how it was made as some people aren't aware it's not cooked with heat but with lemon. I'm glad she did as I briefly read the description and was under the impression it was cooked and had a lemon dressing. I changed my order to the salmon with mango salsa, it was so good! The combination of the warm salmon and sweet cold mango with onions was so delicious. I also got the crab puffs, equally delicious. My fiancé ordered the pad Thai dinner, which he loved, we got mild as we weren't sure what to expect with the heat as some places are super spicy even at the low spice options, it was as advertised so next time we will get the medium heat level. Good food and great service. We ordered the atom Kha hot pot which was tasty. However, the pineapple curry was less desirable. The green peppers were raw and just placed on top of the curry. They only provide a little scoop of rice on the side. The dinner price is expensive which doesn't even include a salad or soup. I would try out the lunch menu for cheaper options. This place is delicious and affordable. The service was top quality. I came with a group and we had the red curry with chicken, the pho Thai, and the fried rice with chicken. You get to chose the spice level which I personally love because I like my food spicy. I got the level three hot and it was the perfect amount of spice! 3pm in the afternoon, and the other Thai places in the area are closed. So headed here to get the Thai fix, and so glad we did! Walked in, place was empty, with only one (owner?) person there - host, server, and cook. And he was very nice and gracious. We had pad see ew is my usual baseline Thai dish for comparison. Here, is was perfectly smokey, savory, fish saucy, and one je ne sais quios spice that I have never noticed in a pad see yew before. Truly good. And the pad Thai was not smothered in sweet peanut butter crap sauce like some places. Just well balanced and texture rich. We had chicken in both, so I can speak to the other proteins. However, this is definitely above the regular "good" Thai. Other customers did walk in as we were there. All of their food looked good (but they didn't share). I was excited to see that they had curry noodle on their menu!! First place in Arizona that actually had it on their menu. First time I've had curry noodle with chicken was in Utah. The curry noodle here was filled with flavor and spices! I asked for medium spice and it was perfect.. The dish stayed hot the whole time I was eating it. Just how I like it. My fiancé and I were craving Tom Khai Gai and gave this restaurant a try after reading good reviews online. Let me say this place delivered and then some! Please stop smoking cigarettes in or behind your restaurant. It is disgusting and worse than any bar I've recently been to. The smell is so strong I stood in the restaurant for 10 minutes waiting for my food and came home and my family asked why I smelled like cigarettes. There are vegetables and food laying around to be prepped that is absorbing the smoke. You will never have customers coming back. read more

So happy to be the first to review this wonderful new Thai spot! As I am the first I'm going to be a bit... verbose. That is my nature by default and here I feel it is somewhat justified, so pardon the upcoming lack of concision. I'm one of those who rates Thai food right after sushi as far as favorite cuisines go. As such, I have tried just about every Thai restaurant in the valley [and have many favorite dishes at varying places]. Thai Paradise is newcomer but it does a stellar job of living up to its name. The decor is pleasant, bright and vibrant. The chairs are the weakest link comfort-wise, but they're not major enough of a hindrance to prevent enjoying the food. It's pretty small and as such there aren't very many tables [I didn't count but I'd guess it wouldn't seat more than 20 at a time]. Went there to eat dinner with six other hungry [or, four hungry, two starving] yogis after a heated yoga class at the always excellent Inner Vision Yoga [just one mile west of this restaurant]. Upon arrival we ordered drinks and apps [Thai Iced Tea, Iced Coffee, "Thai Lemonade," crab puffs and egg rolls]. Drinks came out immediately, and were all delicious. I am not much of a coffee drinker but I would down one of those Thai Coffees any day of the week. VERY tasty [same for the Iced Tea]. The lemonade is homemade and tasted like it had lime and also some salt in it. I wasn't really crazy about the salt to be honest, as I LIKE the puckery sourness of lemonade. One diner said it tasted like a virgin margarita, and that's pretty right on. The apps arrived and this was our first indication that we were in for really excellent service. The orders come with six to an order, which we knew would leave one person wanting in our party of seven... Not so! As the owner added an extra of each with no charge so we could all enjoy. The crab puffs and egg rolls were fantastic, but the real star of the appetizer course was the dipping sauce. Unexpectedly subtle and complex in flavor, clearly not a throwaway. Not that plasticy sweet n sour garbage you get at a lot of places, this was delicate but flavorful and perfect for balancing the richness of the fried food. The entrées arrived very promptly and all were delicious. I am a fan of a lot of heat in my Thai food, but we were doing it family style so I couldn't order anything 'thai hot.' I'll be back very soon to try that level of spice so I can comment on it. As they were, everything was very tasty. We tried several old standbys: Pad Thai, [Tofu] Red Curry and Pad see ew. All were fabulous [though I wish we could've ordered them hotter]. We also ordered some of the place's special dishes that are definitely not Thai standards. "Rama shrimp" is fried shrimp in a panang-ish curry on top of fresh spinach and served with crispy noodles. Pretty great, unlike anything I've had before. My favorite though was the "Seafood Spaghetti" Ridiculous amount of flavor in this dish. Scallops, mussels, shrimp and actual spaghetti with some kind of INSANE sauce. Didn't get a chance to try their mango sticky rice dessert, which is my favorite dessert in all of dessert-dom, but will definitely do so next time. The value of this place is phenomenal, great portion sizes for very reasonable prices. Clearly the owners recognize that serving amazing food at a great price is a recipe for success. All in all I can't wait to eat here again and try more of the menu. Like, all of it. edit: I just wanted to elaborate, as I've had some messages inquiring about the value... I had food ordered/delivered thru DoorDash. DoorDash has tracking on their App. The food was suppose only take 35-40 minutes with delivery time. The food took over an hour and the Dasher called me at the restaurant to apologize but the food took over an hour. The food arrived after an hour 1/2 later. The beef noodle special was horrible. There is nothing special about it. The sliced beef was packed separately and as soon as I opened the package, it smelt sour, spoiled. The broth was super oily. The only thing good about it was the noodle. I didn't even eat any of the broth. My husband had the Fried rice. He took two bites and ended up throwing away the rest. It was cool with garlic. The entire rice had burnt garlic taste. My son had chicken noodle (pho). He only at the noodles. Took one sip of the broth and said it was too oily. Heat levels matched the description. My only complaint? The smoke from the American Legion that shares a wall was OVERWHELMING.
