    Brown Stew Chicken

I rarely if ever leave a review on the internet however, if you're in the chandler area and you are wanting something new or some really delicious Caribbean food I can strongly recommend this place to try out. I'm not totally familiar with Jamaican cuisine so the man in the front was very nice and welcoming and gave me an incredible recommendation of jerk chicken which was by far the best jerk chicken dish I've ever had. I strongly recommend you try out this place!!

After almost five years living in Chandler, I can finally say Arizona has a true Caribbean spot I can call my own. Most Caribbean places in the Valley are either scattered or food trucks that are hard to track down. But today was different--I was craving authentic island food and stumbled upon Hot Pot Caribbean Cuisine . My Jamaican side told me this was the answer, so I made the quick 10-minute drive. The restaurant, located at Arizona Ave and Warner, immediately gave me a warm, welcoming vibe. Spacious, family-friendly, and full of that "home" feeling. The owners are wonderful--genuine, kind, and quick with service. My daughter felt so comfortable she was happily playing around while we waited. Now, the food. If you're new to Caribbean dishes, here's my quick guide: * Jerk Chicken - Spicy, bold flavor. * Curry Chicken - Mild, flavorful, not too spicy. * Curry Goat - Tender goat meat, rich curry blend. These three are a perfect starting point. If you can't decide, get a combo--I went with curry chicken and jerk chicken, paired with a ginger beer (non-alcoholic but packs a kick). The portion sizes were huge, the flavors were on point, and the price--just over $30--felt like a steal for the quality and amount of food. In my book, this is an easy 10/10. Without a doubt, Hot Pot Caribbean Cuisine is the best Caribbean food I've had in Chandler--and honestly, in the whole Valley. I'll definitely be back with my family.

This spot has been around for a very long time. My husband was Jamaican and before he passed I enjoyed this cuisine regularly. I decided to pick up dinner tonight and yum! The memories and the taste just hit the spot. This little restaurant has seats to enjoy their fresh food inside or take it to go. It is simple not fancy at all. Please don't be in a rush or takes time to get the food ready but it's with the wait. They don't make the patties in house and the person up front didn't know where they were from. I'm from NYC so if they were from there I would have ordered it. The rice and cabbage are great and the meat was moist and delicious.

Came back to dine in and it was the best decision, since I didn't have to drive 35mins home before I got a chance to eat. lol. We ordered the oxtails and curry chicken. Best hands down, oxtails were in full not just pieces and bones. They were extremely flavorful and just right. The curry chicken was delicious and had no leftovers. We came hungry and left overly full. lol Service was great! Staff was friendly and attentive. Always a must when on this side of town.

Review of the food truck: I was so excited to try this place because it was a unique food truck amidst the others. I ordered the mango wings and also got to try the jerk wings. I wish the meat was fall off the bone but they were a tad tough. The sauce was very rich and plentiful. I could've used a more punch flavor but understand that that doesn't always suit everyone. The fries were sad. Underseasoned and soft. They tasted like frozen fries from the grocery story. They would've definitely been elevated with a spicy/salty seasoning to go with them. The staff were very nice and were trying to crank food out of there quickly to not keep everyone waiting for too long.

    Too much frosting. Coconut Rum

Such a quaint family spot! It doesn't have the most inviting colors but the vibes are comforting. I get my food to go and I love it because the boxes keep the heat in very well. The jerk chicken we got today fell off the bone and was so flavorful although they could've been a bit more saucy. i suggest you ask for extra sauce! The rice, beans and cabbage are THE side of the year and they pair very nicely with the chicken and ox tails! I'm actually excited because they give you so much! The plate definitely has enough for lunch the next day! The coconut rum cake was my choice of dessert but it was a bit too sweet! The cake was good but there was a lot of frosting!

First time to Hot Pot, and I can say I was not disappointed. Everything was fresh and on point. Mac and Cheese was elite, cabbage seasoned exceptionally well. Jerk, was juicy, good flavor, not dry. I'm big on customer service and being treated well; and Denise at the front was pleasant, and made sure we were squared away. I'll definitely be back. Bless up

    Jerk and Curry chicken!

Amazing food, quick and attentive service, was a great choice for lunch today! Definitely will be back!

Small portion plated...three bites going in the trash. Pissed cause I'm hungry.

Never again. multiple times I've wasted money. old burnt smell taste oxtail not hot. AZ food continues to sucks. 70 ish bucks on lunch. I don't ever write reviews just take the loses. My JA mother in law and bajan fam are rolling in their graves. cant even use them for catering scared of a disappointing crowd.

    6 Pieces Jerk Wings

I love Caribbean food and having a new take with Jerk Wings was refreshing and delicious. The wings were smothered in Smoky Jerk sauce and were beautifully smoked. Maybe just a tad overdone but loved them! The fries were the disappointing part, were supposed to be seasoned but ended up being regular crinkle fries without much kick or anything notable about them. Zhuzhing them up in some way would make this place delicious!

Oxtails with red beans and rice, with a side of plantains.

My friend and I both ordered mediums with 75% sweetness, and it was the perfect drink for a hot, humid summer morning. Sweet enough to feel like a treat without being over the top. We also ordered matching bagel sandwiches. I do wish they offered a turkey bacon option, but the sandwiches were still hot, fresh, and delicious. The real star was the mayo aioli. I could probably put that on just about anything. The vibes are wonderful too. It's cozy, welcoming, and the kind of coffee shop where you want to linger with a friend for a while. My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.

We ended up getting the raspberry puff pastry, the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake, and the red velvet cupcake. Raspberry Puff Pastry: My husband really enjoyed this one. It was flaky, the perfect size, and lightly sweet without being overly sweet. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cupcake: This was my favorite! The cake had little bits of chocolate chips throughout, which was a fun surprise. The frosting was light, airy, and not overly sweet. The best part? It comes topped with a soft, chewy chocolate chip cookie, so it's basically two desserts in one. Red Velvet Cupcake: This one didn't disappoint either. The cake was moist with a nice cocoa flavor, and the buttercream frosting was rich, creamy, buttery, and exactly what you'd hope for in a classic red velvet cupcake. They also serve drinks and were offering samples of their prickly pear lemonade. It was delicious and super refreshing, but a little sweeter than I personally prefer. If you have a sweet tooth, I think you'll really enjoy it. Overall, it was great and we'd go back to try other things. Give it a try. The staff is also nice and provided good service.

We arrived about 15 minutes before closing and the employee did seem like she was ready to go home but wasn't rude or anything. We thought we would be the last customers but several parties came in after us. They did end up turning customers away even though it was still 5 minutes before closing which was a bit off putting. I understand you want to go home early but if you're open until a certain time you should accept customers until then. Especially if you close at 8 pm daily, which isn't late at all. They have board games and it seems like a cool place to hang out and enjoy your dessert. Definitely recommend this place but try coming earlier when they have all the pastries to choose from and you don't feel rushed.
