Danny is the best and the others are the rest. That's all you need to know. Edit: Just found out Danny is moving to Texas. Huge loss. The only complaint is that some of the barbers stand in front of the open door while smoking. When you're sitting inside, you don't want secondhand smoke blowing over you. read more

Fantastic barber shop, I've been coming here for two years now and I've never had a bad haircut. They have fair prices too, currently 24 dollars for a regular cut. read more

$22 + tip for a regular haircut. $28 for shave fade. Just avoid the older man, his cuts are no bueno. Vietnamese barbers.

Things have really gone down hill at Damian's. I have been coming here for years, and this past year, some of the barbers are no longer here. Also, I come in for a cut, and my barber is either late or tells me that he has to leave after he finishes the guy ahead of me, because he has other errands he needs to run. This happens again and again. Sunday, there were 2 barbers and a few people in line. They turned me away, saying that weren't going to cut any more client's hair. It was 2 hours before closing. The only reason I would come here is the price and that it is nearby. I predict that they will go out of business within the next 2 years. read more

Really awesome barber shop! Gotten very nice haircuts before, the barbers here are great. I always leave knowing I got a very prime haircut

I just say, "run a three across the top and fade it down to the skin." Guess what? They then cut my hair perfectly. I love this place and recommend it to all that need a hair cut. read more

5 stars well deserved. Been coming to this barber since I moved over here in 2018 and would highly recommend I'm a picky person when it comes to getting my hair cut cause you will end up with a style you weren't aiming for or a length that just isn't want you waited. Can honestly say I haven't had that issue here haha kind of like the dentist you have to have trust that they know which tooth is the one that needs fixing read more

I've never had to go to a barber before but now that I have a son this is where I take him. Danny, the owner and his team of barbers are all very good. They are all very experienced and have the huge clientele to prove it... This place is very busy! They are so kind with my son always trying to accommodate him when he can't sit still and always offering him lollipops and he looks super adorable after his haircut :P And the haircut is only $12... read more

Experienced my first haircut from LA (I'm from seattle) at Damian's barbershop today, and it turned out great! Tuan was my barber today. I look forward to more haircuts at this place. Quality haircut was delivered, at a great pace. Tuan knew exactly what he was doing, and he was up with current trends. I will be following through with these trends next time. Update, 1 month later: I've been going to Tien lately due to my schedule. He is great with the cuts! Not sure about the other barbers, but they are bound to be great. read more

Old white dude. Can't cut. Hair. Don't get a hair cut from. Him. Fucken gave me a carrot top. Fade went to high. Told him to stop went home a fixed my hair. All the other dude they can cut hair. That it. read more

Ugh. Hate to write this but the shorter barber named Chi (chee) is careless with his cuts. It's always uneven tapers on the sides, or uneven scissor cuts, with him. He doesn't listen to what you want, either. For example, I asked for a bald taper and at the end of the cut when he turned the chair to show me, I still had sideburns, although he acknowledged the skin taper in the beginning, so he gave me a half ass'd taper that took 1 minute. The back of my head's taper always comes out looking fresh but idk, it's kind of getting on my nerves with how lazy and inconsistent he can be. He also didn't wrap tissue around my neck so many hairs after the cut were on my shirt. My haircut looked so weird the woman manager/owner had to fix my cut. It is a $19 cut after all... read more

I came here for the first time because I'm on a budget. Tired of paying $25 haircuts for a basic fade. So why not spend $13 for something so simple, right. So I show up, I noticed there was an older gentleman occupied doing the old timers and 2 other vietnamese men. I pulled up a pic of the type of fade on wanted on Pinterest, and showed it to the younger of the vietnamese guys. 15 mins later....wow. this guy has some skills. He got the fade . Shoot, it was better than some of the other establishments I go to. I am definitely coming back. Oh yes...I definitely gave him a well deserved tip read more

A few year ago I really needed a hair cut, and my usual place was closed, so I found this place, I google it and it had nice reviews,... I decided to give it a shot, surprisingly they did a better job than my regular guy... I'm their regular customer now read more

I've been going for the last 2 years, never had a bad cut! Its a pretty old school straight forward babershop, no frills no cucumber waters here, if you want that you probably should go elsewhere. 13 bucks a cut! Cant go wrong! read more

Holy crap, talk about going downhill. Walked in right now, and the guy working says "only 2 barber". I asked him where the barbers all went. "They quit." Seven dudes are waiting to get their haircut. Guy didnt seem to mind...working at a snail's pace, too. Unbelievable, and a damn shame, too. Gone are Danny (founder/owner), Efren (RIP), Frank, John, Rocio, Amy, Tony...and now Tuan. Sad turn of events. Danny should have never sold his esteemed barbershop to Phi. She has sucessfully run it into the ground. read more

Back in the day when I would have a styled haircut (fade, flat top etc) Damians was my spot where I would go. Nowdays, I either grow out my fro, or keep it totally shaved. I haven't paid for a haircut in years (do my own with my clippers) but today I didn't feel like doing it myself so I came here. Walked right in, sat down and got a 1 clip buzz cut. Damage was $12.00. Gave the guy $15 for a job well done. It was fast, clean and on point. They finish off your neckline/sideburns with an old school straight razor then hit you up with some soothing aftershave gel. It felt good! I would highly recommend this spot if you are in Hawthorne and need a haircut. read more

The first thing you see walking into the barber is hair on the floor. But an abnormal amount of hair. It seems like they didnt broom atleast 3 or more people before I got to sit down. Im not sure if they were understaffed but stepping all over the hair was uncomfortable. When I sat down, the barber asked me what I wanted and since I am not sure what I usually get, i said a fade with 1 at the bottom. I said "1,2,3,4" until the top my head but he scoffed and made me feel like an idiot as the other barbers were speaking their language and I felt like they were mocking me saying "1,2,3,4." The cut was nothing special. That's what you get for a $17 haircut. It was just awful for my first experience. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid, actually first cut ever was here. I'm not a fan of getting My haircut, weird I know..lol but, coming here over the years has been pleasant. I used to walk in & let anyone available cut My hair. I wasn't getting a cut that was complicated so anyone worked. I did have one not so good experience that led Me to stick with John. John has been there forever & he had always given Me a quality cut & enjoyed the banter. I def call to see if he's there or is not, when he will be. They started taking credit cards a bit ago but, I had to learn the hard way when the "main" guy wasn't there, they couldn't process My card. I don't normally carry cash, thankfully though, I had just enough that particular day. Unfortunately I didn't have for a tip, which I felt bad but, they shouldn't say they accept CC's if they only have one guys process & he's not always there. So, My tip, just take cash. I had been for years stopping by the ATM before going, I've just stuck to that. Hence the 4, not 5, Stars.. read more

The Barbers at Damians are professional and excellent. The shop is very clean and nice. Highly recommend them.

The only place in the south bay that will cut and fade my hair with consistency. Very affordable at $12. Don't forget to tip your barber! read more

Damian's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Lawndale, California

I used to go here regularly and stopped recently. They do accept credit cards and the price is low which is a plus, but I was never impressed with the cuts I received and feel that the english language speaking skills of many of the barbers was not high enough to fully understand how I wanted my hair to come out. I'm unsure if possibly what I wanted was too complicated for the tools/skills of a barber, or if they had in mind how they wanted to cut it and just did it. Nevertheless pretty standard barber shop, they lose points for a normally long wait no matter week day or weekend. read more

Ample parking space. 7 barber chairs with 10 waiting chairs inside. Best thing I liked about this place is that the staff are multi-ethnic. A little bit of everything puts you at ease and I felt welcomed. Got a basic hair cut which was quick & costed $12 with a $3 tip. Owners still works at this ship and has a 40+ year experience. I'll be going back. read more

I went in to get a haircut by TUAN , i asked for a fade and he gave me a crooked one at first I was trying to be nice and asked if he could redo it he then proceeded with an argument and would not fix it. After my hair cut I paid him and he had the nerve to get mad because I did not tip him. read more

Really great hole in the wall place to get your hair cut. Right next to a Colombian restaurant and Cali games. Giving a 4 star because sometimes the wait is really long. And you find yourself waiting in those chairs for a really long time. Other than that this is a great barber shop located in the heart of Hawthorne. read more

I went here to get a quick haircut. I'm very displeased with how it turned out. I gave the barber very simple directions and clearly articulated what I wanted and he did the complete opposite. I asked for a low fade and he gave me a high fade. I also asked for a line up and he proceeded to decimate my hairline. He pushed my right sideburn back a good 1.5 inches. Then when I pointed out his mistake and told him he didn't even listen to what I wanted, he still tried to just make me pay him. It wasn't until his co-worker saw what he did and told him that he needs to comp me that he finally stopped asking me to pay. Then he laughed and said he'll get it right the next time. I will not be returning here and I don't suggest anyone else do because they can't even listen to what you ask for and when they mess up, they try and joke about it. read more

Had actually plan to go next door which had a lot more ratings and prominent ratings on Yelp when I noticed the $12 price sign and took a chance. Tuan greeted me and proceeded to perform my cut complete w/a nice fade. I could not have been more satisfied for $12, and left a $3 tip for a total damage of $15 - how do you beat that? Tuan apparently works everyday except Tuesday, and both helps open up at 9 and close at 7. Kudos to this hard working barber. I'll be back. read more

I have been to this place for the last 3 years whenever I am back home from college. My first couple of visits years prior weren't that great, but recently I have been getting excellent haircuts because I have been sticking to a regular barber. Tuan is the name you want to ask for. He is always consistent and gives great haircuts. I always end up leaving satisfied. He pays attention to all the details and takes his time when cutting your hair. To top it off, he knows how to maintain a great conversation and is very friendly. Most importantly, this place is super inexpensive at only $12 for a haircut and a fade. Definitely check this place out and try to ask for Tuan. read more

Nice old school barbershop. I always get my haircut by John, so I can't really judge all the others. The price is reasonable and the location is not too bad. Nothing fancy inside, just a couple TVs over the waiting chairs. read more

I moved to Gardena in July and have been here 3 times per recommendation. The first time I didn't have a good haircut and was a little disappointed. The second time I was happy and had a good experience. Today I just got a haircut by this wonderful lady who I haven't seen in the shop before and I had to review this place because the price for the awesome haircut that I received is Amazing. I really hope I am able to see her consistently. The attention to detail was impressive! read more

It is really good. After a long search I found this place.. It is really worth.. Just 12$ and they are taking good care.

Came here for years when I used to live in the area. I always received great haircuts back then. Recently, I've returned for a haircut while in town on vacation. Tuan cut my hair and I'm happy with the results. He did not rush the job and is a professional by all means. Very reasonably priced cuts as well! I recommend this place and will return again if I need a haircut while visiting in the future. read more

This place is great. I've never waited more than 15 minutes in the half or dozen times I've come in over the last year. Tuan and company do a good job and you can't beat the price in the South Bay. I have no complaints, everything is done correctly on my men's haircut. I've shopped around and this place is the chillest and best priced, $12 + $3 tip is super affordable. Easy parking. They take credit card. Don't pay $20+ for the fancy places. read more
