The Hick BBQ (that pretzel bun is top tier)

The new dive bar of today. A blend of vibes from hipsters to the hood spanning between construction workers to school teachers. Drinks, good tunes, feel good vibes. The bartenders are usually a cool talkative crew but this day, the staff was moving. Granted, it's a Friday, after school hours, so the after work happiness is definitely there. The eats and bevs are good. No issues. I'll post my order in a bit. I say this though, if you drive, parking much like the indoor seating is a gamble. However, this spot will make up for it.

We came here last night for some snacks after the Honeywell. We had the queso and chips and a burger with BBQ sauce and crispy fried onions. The burger tasted great. The queso was flavorful and the chips great for snacking. The drinks were were a great value! The frozen margarita was good but my old fashioned was a bit sweet. The vibe here is so fun! We sat at the bar. Nice to see all the kitchy things they have, like the leg lamp from A Christmas story. At the back are pinball machines, arcades and Giant Jenga and connect 4. Saw they have a menu for dogs, I have to bring mine here sometime. We stopped to take picture at the photo booth they have on the way out. Fun night!

Great place to watch the game in Harlem! We watched the World Series last game! It get packed! Plenty of seats! Great music mixed Spanish, R&B etc! We'll be back to watch a football game!

This place is fckn awesome man! They have a selection of beers to choose from! They have your standard mixed drinks and few combos (beer and shot) but, it gets the job done! Make sure to have your ID out before entering, security doesn't play with that! Bartenders are friendly but, if they are super busy, you may have to wait to be attended to but, they don't ignore you. The music is great and you can request a song as long as you ask nicely! The food here is great! A tid bit small but, its flavorful regardless! My favorite from this spot? A good ol Frozen Marg and a nice chicken sandwich!

My boyfriend comes here to watch the games, and they always have fun specials on game days! Cool staff, pin ball machines in the back, and good drinks!

The food? Fire. The service. Top-tier. The ambience? Party time. If you're one (like me) for cheap beer and silly times, this is the place to bring a couple buddies and unwind.

I was dining at the restaurant next door in the shared outdoor structure at the Wallace. I went inside to check out the spaces, ultimately to decide what to eat and drink. The outdoor structure is very comfortable, and the inside was a spacious, kitschy dive bar -like esthetic. The place was abuzz, and the reins were flowing. I was sent in to have a specific drink.... the frozen coffee. I couldn't bring it outside, so I ended up having it later after my meal. Hand poured and delivered by an angel named 'Darling', it was absolutely delicious! I know I will come by for another when I'm uptown.

Do they show NHL games? Age restrictions?

Always taking requests for the TVs. If we get the channel we’ve got no issues throwing anything on.

Are there any vegan options here?

    Is it a dress code?

Nope! Wear whatever the hell you want haha!

    What time is happy hour?

Always! Because our prices are already too damn cheap haha!

I ate here once before and the food was okay, what you can expect at a bar. However, the service usually is okay and not terrible. Today, I had a terrible experience. We walked into a bar that was mostly empty. I have bartended for 10 years in hottest NYC night clubs like Tao, PHD, and 230 5th rooftop to name a few, and this place was dead. However, I just wanted one drink and to go on with my night. I was at the end of the bar with my cousin, she tried to get the bartender's attention and failed. After 15 min, I decided to try. I ordered drinks with her twice, 2 don julio reposado with Red Bull. Something that takes less than a minute to do. I then watched for another 20 min how she took other people's orders and did them instantly while we were still waiting. The men that were next to us told her that they wanted to pay for our drinks and she ignored them as well and walked off. I then went to the other male bartender, Jurgen, and order my drinks with him while explaining that the girl had been ignoring us for a while. I attempt to take a picture of her to give a complaint to the manager as I didn't know her name, and she saw me and snatched my cell phone and told the security guard to kick us out. The male bartender said he was the manager and told the security guard to kick us out. I realized that this Indian guy seemed to be the manager and I stopped him and explained what was happening. He then allowed us to stay and gave us the drinks on the house. He was really nice and made my night better. To the El Jefe manager if you want to hire a REAL bartender with REAL NYC experience. That can make 10-15 mixed drinks in two minutes, and does not discriminate (because this is what it felt like, like she was just hating on how absolutely gorgeous we were and didn't want to serve us) against gender, beauty, race, etc and will get you really good Google reviews, fire her and hire me part time. And also, two drinks here cost $63 which is insane for uptown. Jurgen made sure to add automatic 20% after the bad service he provided :) I added photos to show how slow it was and she still ignored us for 30 minutes when we were just trying to pay for drinks. UNREAL!!!

It's an interesting mix of classic American bar energy with a Peruvian twist, which makes the menu way more fun than your typical pub. Even though it was packed for the holiday, it never felt overwhelming. Lively, but still comfortable enough to actually enjoy your time. I lucked out and found Broken Skull by Steve Austin here--funny because I'd been searching for it everywhere and almost ordered it online. If you're into craft beer, definitely give it a try. Didn't go for Taco Tuesday this time ($25 unlimited tacos is tempting), but I spotted birria ramen on the menu, which already guarantees I'll be back. Food-wise, the mushroom burger was the star--perfectly cooked, juicy, and rich without being too heavy. And the fries? Crispy, golden, dangerously addictive (and I'm picky about fries). Service was warm and attentive despite the crowd. Overall, a fun, easygoing spot that somehow balances energy and comfort. Definitely coming back.
