As a pediatric speech-language pathologist who has worked in early intervention for many years, I am particularly impressed by Dr. Carter's clinical acumen when it comes to child development. When she refers a child to my practice, she frequently identifies subtle delays and qualitative differences earlier than most healthcare providers. She recognizes that development is more nuanced than whether a child has simply met or missed a milestone, and her referrals consistently reflect that depth of understanding. Dr. Carter is intellectually curious, scientifically minded, and an excellent critical thinker. She considers the evidence, but she is also willing to look beyond the obvious and think creatively when a child's presentation doesn't fit neatly into a box. Dr. Cobanov herself is thorough and for families with routine pediatric needs, this office may be fine. Unfortunately, our experience with the office staff and overall responsiveness was extremely frustrating. On multiple occasions, we contacted the office regarding urgent concerns and paperwork involving our son through phone calls, portal messages and even the texting feature, often without timely responses. As parents of medically complex children know waiting days, or oftentimes in our experience, weeks for communication is simply not acceptable. Too often, we had to physically go into the office just to receive a response. The final straw came when we respectfully requested a basic medical summary letter for our son's school records outlining his diagnoses and care needs. Previous pediatricians and top medical specialists had always supported these requests and advocated for our son, but Dr. Cobanov declined. For families managing complex medical needs, strong communication and provider support are essential. We have since transitioned to a different local Redlands pediatrician whose office has been far more responsive, supportive and engaged in our son's overall wellbeing.

I knocked at the door and asked why they were closed? Instead of coming to the door and talking like a professional she began to motion as to say go away. Upset at this time because we drove over 20 miles to have my sick daughter seen, I began to speak loudly so she could hear and said how SHE specifically was unprofessional and we wanted our daughter seen. She began to laugh. I expected more from this clinic but with the horrible staff I was unfortunately disappointed. The staff never returns calls/faxes to the pharmacy when I am trying to get his food and medication. They never submit the proper paperwork to insurance without me having to call a million times. The latest two events just happened with in the past 3 weeks. 1st, my sons acid reflux medication was no longer available so the pharmacy and I both called the doctors office for a different medication. We did not hear back from them at all. I left several messages as did the pharmacy. I finally found a pharmacy that had one box of his medication in stock and had to drive over an hour to pick it up. second, I called in my sons formula a week before he was due to run out.. The pharmacy sent the doctor a request to authorize the refill. 10 days later, we still dont have autorization. The office sat on it for 8 days before even submitting it to insurance for approval. I call and call and all I get is bad treatment. The do not care about my 6 month old or his needs. Needless to say, I have filed a request for a change of pediatricians with my insurance company. What ever you do, do not take your kids to this office if they have any special needs. You will be spending countless hours trying to do their job for them.
