I did try several of the crafted candies , a salty dog and moscato both were delicious and decadent . I also tried a few truffles, a pistachio and a hazelnut both delicious , the hazelnut was my favorite . The chocolate is rich , creamy and not overly sweet . Perfection ! The shop is small and packed with lots of delicious sweets and decorated with an old fashion vibe . Since it is so close to Easter there are chocolate bunnys galore ! Besides the chocolates Nancy makes herself she also offers other sweets as well. Nancy offered us a full size sample , so generous! I purchased some dark chocolate almond bark ,raspberry cream dark chocolate dipped candy and milk chocolate pretzel bark ... all so delicious! She told us we could order one and the amount of time it would take to have one made. We asked if they did cheese boards to sit and have to eat now, and I quote, "No we are not a cafe, we don't serve food in store like that". As we continued around the shop many more couples entered the store. We worked our way back around to the cheese counter to place our order. Once it was our turn the blonde woman, who originally snubbed us as we walked in, asked what we needed. As we started to order she asked us to hold on and called another girl from the back to continue helping us. The other girl was very friendly, and informational and even made some recommendations. We purchased a number of cheeses and other accoutrements. As we were checking out, a couple walked in and asked if they did fondue. The blonde woman was friendly and set them up at a table in the back to have fondue for 2. We proceeded to take our items and leave. If you like Brie you need to try the Truffle Brie! If you are in Riverhead or touring some of the vineyards on the North Fork, you should hit this place. We drove by on the way back from afternoon golf on a Friday. From the size of the crowd, I thought it was a Beatles Reunion Concert or something. The locals told us that it is REALLY GOOD, but evening waits can easily exceed an hour. Parking looked tough. We dropped by the next day around lunch time. No line, easy parking. The menu board has over 40 flavors, which include some intriguing ones such as honey cinnamon, honey lavender, blackberry ginger, avocado coconut. I did the cinnamon, the wife opted for the lavender. They were REALLY UNIQUE AND REALLY GOOD. My daughter has some food allergies, and we were impressed by the careful listing of potential allergens on the menu list. Next time I'm out on the east end of Long Island, I'll be going there again and getting some quarts to go. I just advise you to either go off-peak, or be prepared to hob-Nob with a lot of locals for a while in line.
