I've been coming to Magic Fountain since I was a kid, and for good reason! They have delicious ice cream from a rotating menu of flavors that has so many interesting concoctions. On my most recent trip, they had Dubai Chocolate and Spicy Mango, both really fun and delicious in their own way. I ended up getting a scoop of the North Fork, and it was delicious. My friend got a vanilla milkshake and gave rave reviews as well. There's usually a line snaking out the door (the inside isn't very big), but they've got a good system for keeping things moving, so don't be dissuaded. If you're driving to/from the North Fork, make the drive even better with a stop here!

This is one of the best homemade ice cream shops on the Island, yes it's on the East End in Mattituck but so definitely worth the trip. They have over 50 flavors and priced right for your enjoyment. Great store where you wait in line until they call you in, there are benches outside where you can sit and a lot of people start talking to one another... the power of ice cream, highly recommend and they make ice cream cakes as well.

I really enjoyed my gluten free coffee ice cream. Yes - it is a bit touristy Yes - the prices are a bit high Yes - the line can get quite long But - everyone seems to be ok with that and just loves the ice cream - including me. I LOVED it. A pro-tip: order online and just pick it up at the window and skip the line.

This place is THE BEST ice cream I have EVER had, and that's no understatement. This place has been part of the Mattituck community for many years and for good reason. They have well over 50 flavors, all which are homemade on site including weekly speciality flavors like cucumber, goat cheese or lavender. No matter that time you go, especially at night, this place always has a long line and is jammed pack. Despite the long line, the staff is unbelievably quick with getting orders out. They're also extremely friendly. It's a casual place to go after the beach, date night or if it's hot and you want a snack. This place needs to be on everyone's list. As a local, I come here once a week. I truly can't articulate how fantastic this place actually is.

I love Magic Fountain!! I've been here several times but for whatever reason, I never reviewed. I love their creative flavors and creamy delicious ice cream. Their scoops are generous and everything is super fresh. Homemade and scrumptious. The service was great and the prices were reasonable for the amount of ice cream that you got. We just got back from Boston and had some proper homemade ice cream as well but it was so pricey. I think it was also in tony Cambridge and Magic Fountain is much more basic, but in the best possible way. I had the pralines and cream and rainbow cookie flavors. Both were excellent. The Pralines & Cream were a proper PNC but not too sweet. I loved the Rainbow Cookie which I've had elsewhere. The base had a nice almond flavor to it and I was surprised that it was pink. But pink is my favorite color so...bo complaints from me. The other rainbow cookie icecream I've had was a vanilla base with big chunks of rainbow cookie, which had the signature almond flavor. I liked both but I'd give the other place a slight edge because I prefer big chunks of anything in my ice cream. :-) I can't wait to go back to Magic Fountain again. Definitely one of my favorites on the Island.

I've been to Magic Fountain a few times and enjoyed it each time. You place your order inside with friendly staff (you can try a flavor or two to be sure you like what you're ordering) and there's an extensive menu of flavors. The outside has a few benches and a cute mural and some vintage inspired signage in front. I can't wait to return this summer!

On the way home from picking up a Christmas Tree, we drove past Magic Fountain, a mom and pop ice cream shop out in Long Island. Ice Cream in the middle of winter? Why not? The inside looks similar to most other small ice cream shops. Unfortunately due to COVID, they do not give out samples. The kids each got a small cup, but I opted for the sampler, which is 12 small scoops served like mini cupcakes! The black cherry pistachio was my favorite...my least favorite was the purple one...not sure what flavor it's supposed to be, but it smelled and tasted like scented soap! Kids all liked the ice cream. Seems to be freshly made with a lot of different flavors. Too bad they are an hours drive from home...

Proof of time I'm writing this review.

Arrived at 9pm and young girl said sorry can't let you in it's 9pm. I drove 45 minutes and they refused to serve me. While 10 people were inside of the store. She said let me speak to the owner. Comes back and said owner told me to turn you away. Never had magic fountain and never will attempt to again. Ridiculous Owner of store want to speak to me you can email me krgrestaurants@gmail.com.

My young children were excited to pick strawberries, but the extreme heat made it difficult for them to continue. Since they were unable to finish filling their individual baskets, we combined what they had picked and politely asked if we could exchange it for one of the many pre-filled baskets available at the front counter. We had already paid and were simply trying to accommodate our children's comfort and safety. The older blonde woman working at the front was incredibly rude. Rather than listening to our request, she raised her voice and spoke harshly to both me and my child. There was no reason for the interaction to become confrontational, especially when dealing with a family and a child who was clearly uncomfortable from the heat. Customer service and kindness go a long way, and unfortunately neither was shown during our visit. Because of this experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend Patty's Bunches and Berries to other families.

I have always loved this place and considered it one of my go-to restaurants. That's why the changes I've experienced recently are so noticeable. I ordered my usual Coke, but unfortunately it was flat. I also ordered the hamburger I've enjoyed for years, and this time it simply didn't taste like the burger I've always loved. The portion of French fries was also noticeably smaller. Normally, I wouldn't care about the amount of fries if the burger was still as delicious as it used to be, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Since the new ownership, it feels like a lot has changed. The service was very slow, seemingly because there aren't enough servers. The changes behind the bar have also affected the drinks, which just aren't as good as they used to be. I understand that businesses change and new owners may want to bring their own ideas to a restaurant. But when you've been a loyal customer for 20 years, you notice when the quality, service, food, and overall experience change. I truly hope Legends can get back to the quality and service that made longtime customers like me keep coming back year after year. I stood outside and the clock struck 2pm, and a nice gentleman opened the velvet rope for us and said "come in, we were open." Not knowing if this was for the kids or not, we walked in and saw one of the most interesting interiors I have seen in awhile. It was fun and different. The manager made it fun as well as he has a great attitude and happy to help in terms of recommendations. The menu itself is big and you will need some help. The first thing was needing to get food to two little hangry ones, so we asked for noodles, which he got on immediately, getting in a pancit order. That came out first and my wife and I took a few extended moments as the menu is extensive. I ordered the chicken and waffle with bang bang shrimp and my wife had the steak with rice and onions. Both dishes were flavorful and definitely enjoyable.
