This review will be horribly biased, because I'm probably addicted to pistachio macarons by now, but that not withstanding, this place is delightful. They have your usual selection of vanilla, chocolate, lemon, and pistachio macarons, plus fancy ones like cassis and yummy fleur de sel. I first visited for their macarons, but have come back for other goodies. Their chocolate almond croissant is heavenly. Go ahead and break your no-carb diet, because in 60 years, you'll be dead, and you deserve this chocolate almond croissant now. This place is for you if the little things, like a perfectly crunchy croque monsieur, make you happy. I was bumming around town with the boyfriend (who has fixed more than one crappy, stressful day with a box of macarons, because he rules!), oddly enough, after the last hurricane. We were pleasantly surprised to find this place open. The girl behind the counter was playing awesome music (Arcade Fire, Yeasayer, The Talking Heads...Whaaat? :P), and she was very sweet, totally believing me when I said I needed all the pistachio macarons, and she offered to go back and get me as many as I wanted. What she actually did was offer us a ridiculously awesome discount on the pastries, because they weren't freshly baked, on account of the evil hurricane-induced power outage. They were as yummy as ever, and she made us really delish coffee, and our afternoon was so much brighter because of it. read more

I came here for the wine tasting and did not expect to have such fabulous food and desserts! They have an in-house sommelier and their foods/pastries are made fresh daily. The tasting was so delicious and fun that I signed up for another one.The salmon salad and quinoa salad served during the tasting was superb. I would love to buy that stuff in bulk. I've come in and gotten the pastries from time-to-time. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and do not mind explaining every item. I believe the front of the house staff are also the bakers but I could be wrong. Hands down, they have the best croissants and macaroons in town. They are worth every penny and calorie. I personally love the almond croissant as well as the mushroom croissant (I don't even like mushrooms!) They also sell great wines at every price point. read more

They have croissants with all kinds of fillings, but you can't go wrong with a plain either! Definitely the best croissant I have tried in Miami, hands down. They also have many flavors of macaroons and the 5-6 I have tried have all been delicious. The staff I have interacted with has been friendly and has answered any questions I had with ease. They have some beautiful cakes that are so masterfully made, it would almost be a crime to eat them (..almost). As far as French bakeries go, it doesn't get any better than this in Miami. I've tried nearly all the French bakeries in the area, and this one tops them. The best Macarons, always taste fresh, never taste like fridge, and the flavors themselves are wonderful. I've tried a handful of their pastries/desserts and they never disappoint, both visually and taste-wise. I've sampled their ice cream and it's delish, too. To think I've lived and worked in this area for SO long, I'm ashamed I've never tried this place. I decided to FINALLY give it a shot and went on a Saturday morning. Once you walk in, it feels very quaint and cafe-like. The staff was nice and greeted me immediately. I told them it was my first time and I wanted to look around. There were SO many delicious pastries, cakes and baked goodies to choose from - it was hard to choose just one! There was also a wine section on the left side on the inside. Considering it was 11am on a Saturday, wine was out of the question... in hindsight, what was I thinking? I digress. After looking around, I decided on 4 macaroons - caramel, chocolate, rose petal, and praline. They were SOO good! I almost wanted to grab 4 more but I restrained myself. I spent $11 on a mixed berry fruit tart, a three-chocolate small cake (can't remember what it's called, but had almond chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate), a mango macaroon, and a twisty chocolate crunch (can't remember the French name). There was no way I could eat it all, so I had the store lady cut the cakes in half, and I shared with a random couple who happened to be there. It was all very delicious! I wish I had known they served real food as well, like a La Madeleine (sandwiches, quiches, etc.). This is not noted on their website, and I suggested they add this as well. I understand if their website is primarily for ordering cakes, but I think it's a shame they don't at least mention this, especially for someone like me, who was scrambling within the strip to find something to eat during a tropical storm. All major credit cards are accepted, as your card is swiped using a card reader attached to an iPad, and you sign using your finger. Technology is wonderful for small businesses! You also can request a printed receipt (as opposed to email) if you have to submit original receipts like I do for work. I will definitely return to try their regular food! read more

I do think this place is amazing. The macarons are delicious!! Their pastries are flaky, buttery, fresh, and everything you'd expect from a very authentic french bakery. My one issues was the quiche. It was overcooked and therefore not as enjoyable :(. The cheese was burned and it wasn't as fluffy and "custard-y" as I'd liked. That said, I will return to buy their cakes, tarts and pastries for parties (they are sure to impress). It is a bit pricey... The croque Monsieur was divine but really small. AHHHHH! Theres nothing really to say about this place but the fact that everything you buy is delicious! It is a small location across US1 from the Dadeland South Metro stop. They have baked goods, sandwiches, tea, coffee etc and a wonderful wine selection. If you go please pick up an Almond Croissant. It is rich, buttery and doesn't have the heavy flavor one could image with a nut base. Definitely an upgrade from just a plain old croissant. Croque Monsieur, Turkey BLT, nicely warmed with Decaf Latte for me and Hot Chocolate for the Mr. were absolutely delicious! I could not stop saying OMG OMG OMG!! My taste buds were in heaven! We got a complimentary taste of the vanilla Macarons because there was a little misunderstanding on the size of the beverages and they wanted to make up for the wait time. Those were equally fantastic and really nice of them to offer. They had bottles of wine on ice that you could sample, as well. Everything you read here is 100% true. This place is just wonderful. Absolutely delish! They have the best croissants in Miami. They have so many different flavors to choose from, plain, chocolate, almond, blueberry, apricot, apple and raisin! All of them are delicious, buttery and super flaky. You can't go wrong with any of the ones you pick. They also offer them in mini sizes if you want to have more than one or just a small snack instead of full size. The pastries are also to die for! My favorites are the St. Honore and the Crunchy. Both are super rich and delicious! All the pastries and sweets are to die for. Also when you're there try the Chouquettes. they are small bite size pieces of choux pastry (same as a creme puff) covered in pearl sugar and baked to perfection. Be careful though because they are super addicting! This is definitely the best french bakery in Miami! I have been to the other one on 144 and Us1 and they just do not compare! read more

French bakery with sweets and wine shop...sign me up. Their seasonal items vary. Came looking for their raspberry Ispahan but sadly they didn't have. What I did find was Guava macaroons and were they good. L'duree will always be my favorite but the guava flavor here is a plus. They had a very pretty sponge cake called Charlotte Rouge got one of those to go. Had my cake with some sparkling wine and it was simple perfection. Many delicate flavors layered together were perfect. Mascarpone, cherry, raspberry and pistachio. Yum. read more

Viva Le France! What an amazing find. The macaroons are amazing. The caramel and pistachio are highly recommended. The environment was great. The place was clean and very well decorated. They have a rack of wines and champagnes that is cleverly labeled for BBQ, after dinner, or celebration (for those like me that know little about wine and champagne). The desserts looked amazing as well but we went straight for the macaroons. The service was great as well. I was offered a sample immediately of three or four different macaroon flavors. It is the destiny apparently of all good places in Miami since the working force in this town is sadly mediocre at best. It always reflects on the food and service. This place is heads and shoulder above every bakery in the city. The macaroons are excellent, the best I've ever had. The cakes are a work of art inside, outside and they also taste great. There's also a nice variety of ice cream, the Banana Bread Pudding had me hooked for weeks. You can also find their products on several farmers markets and event throughout the city. The Macarons here are, hands down, the best I have ever had (I have had the ones from Ladurée in Paris, but I'm only counting the ones I have had here in the US). They have about 14 different flavors of Macarons and different prices based on quantity. They make fresh breads and have a great selection of teas. I have ordered gift baskets for delivery. It's a different option if you are tired of giving gift cards. They also sell sandwiches and many French pastries. They have an extensive wine collection with varying prices. I had the pleasure of having the owner help me select a bottle of wine this week. He was very knowledgable and wanted to help me find something in my price range. I ate lunch here twice a week for about 6 months. I would like to see some soups added to the menu but the sandwiches are a great, fast option for grabbing food in the go. And a healthier option than most fast food restaurants. They have wine tastings and wine and food paring events. I have even seen groupings for these events( I haven't bought one yet but I'm thinking of attending one for a girls night). The staff is friendly and attentive. I will definitely be back. read more

My husband always comes home bragging about coming here for lunch with his co-workers. We finally decided to come as a family. AMAZING! The customer service was wonderful. We ordered so many things and I was still left wanting to try more. That means we have to go back. We ordered two sandwiches: turkey, bacon, and Swiss and the prosciutto and mozzarella. Both very good. We also had the chocolate almond croissant and some Macarons. Of course, we had it all with cappuccinos and apple juice for the kids. My daughter had one of their yummy chocolates and she was so happy. My son even said "this place is great. We need to come back." That's what we will definitely be doing. This place is wonderful. A few weeks ago, having become disappointed with Publix's version of a French baguette, I decided to start exploring local bakeries for a better option. This was my second stop (after Le Royal). I walked out with a regular croissant, a mini almond croissant, and my goal, the baguette. There were a lot of items to choose from at noonish on Sunday; the macaroons looked especially tempting. The croissant was lovely, buttery, and flakey; I turned it into French toast the next morning, and it was perfect for that. I'd never had an almond croissant before, so I have no basis of comparison, but this one was wonderfully almondy, crunchy-flakey, and very sweet. The baguette, my original goal, was a disappointment. While it had a good crust (especially pretty to look at for the pattern of its slashes), and the crumb was tender, its air bubbles were so big that I was unable to use about half the loaf. I'd been planning to use it for tomato bruschetta, but the holes were so big, the topping fell right through. Some parts of the bread were just a thin ring of crust surrounding an empty center. The baguette did, however, have good flavor. If I want a baguette good for dipping into olive oil or to make into breadcrumbs, I might buy a baguette from Atelier Monnier again. But if I want a baguette that I can use to hold any kind of topping, I'll buy elsewhere (like Le Royal French Bakery's baguette). read more

I recently had a chance to sample their Parisian Macarons and Chouquettes. I tried 3 different flavors: Hazelnut, Chocolate, and Coffee. I have yet to try a good French Macaron that I like. I like the ones here at L'Atelier. It's light and yummy. I like the coffee and hazelnut. This was my first time trying Chouquettes. I found them interesting, light, and yummy. Initially I thought they tasted so familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it until I looked up what a Chouqette was. A Choquette is French Cream Puff rolled in pearl sugar. That's why it was so familiar. I love them. Sweeter than the regular cream puffs without the fillings. Yummy! You can sample some on Lincoln Road on Sundays. Customer service is probably the very best I've had. And I don't take customer service lightly. The first time I was here was years back and my friend took me and since then I've never ever looked for another bakery. Been here countless times, my favorite French bakery, and I always manage to be served by the owner! Great and fresh ingredients, your money will be well spent! I know for sure it's much cheaper than any other macaron places around which I find to be a bonus for the gem that it actually is. Can't vouch for the place as whole because I only had the small berry tart. My opinion: The crust was just right, light and crumbly; the custard was refreshing and airy. The fruit was extremely fresh and stable on the tart. The best part? The flavors were not overshadowed by too much sugar; every ingredient had the chance to make itself known in what feels like it's natural state. What a nice find. Beautiful shop with incredible looking cakes. The cakes look like pieces of art with macaroons on them. I stopped in for a loaf of Zack's sourdough bread which was good. It didn't have a fantastic sour dough flavor profile but it was a large crusty bread that was worth a try. The sandwiches look good and the service is fast. I encountered a Farmer's market on Lincoln Road on Miami Beach a month or so ago but did not have any of their offerings. This time it was the goal. The lovely vendor, Atelier Monnier, had a gorgeous spread of French Macarons and I submitted willingly. I would suggest you find them early in the day if they are in a Farmer's market to make sure they are as cool as can be, even in their display case. These bundles of joy came in every flavor like Raspberry, Pistachio(my favorite), hazelnut, chocolate, rose petal, passion fruit, vanilla, Coffee, Caramel, and Cassis. This last flavor was pretty unique. It was like a tart violet with a pleasant scent. I also had a bite (or two or three) of their bread pudding with was delightful and rich. I love that you can find this vendor at a bunch of farmer's markets around Miami AND they also have a new boutique in South Miami. read more

I love this place. Everything is delicious! I've now been to both the dadeland and brickell location and have seen the owner working there every time. That's always a good sign to me. I've of course had several of their delicious sweet treats including the crunchy cake, macaroons, ice cream, eclairs, and chocolates. I couldn't tell you which is better because of course, the French know what their doing in the sweets department. My husband and I have had their prosciutto sandwich and Brie with ham sandwich. By far, the prosciutto and mozzarella with pesto is one of the better ones we've ever had. Seems like a standard sandwich you would find at a cafe but the French bread makes all the difference. You really can't go wrong with any other salty treats like croissants, croque monsieur, and pastries. A true French delight. We go frequently and will continue to do so. read more

This review is only for their macarons, which are so good! I was so happy when I came upon their booth at the Farmer's Market at Jackson Memorial Hospital today. I was CRAVING macarons and had been asking people where I could find good macarons. Every thursday, there's a farmer's market in the quad in front of Jackson in the University of Miami School of Medicine campus. They also go to the UM main campus on Wednesdays. They mentioned that they also go to other sites, but I don't remember. I'm so glad that they come here every Thursday. The flavors they had were: pistachio, chocolate, passion fruit, vanilla, caramel, hazelnut, currant, and coffee. They ran out of caramel which I really wanted, so I got the pistachio, chocolate, and coffee which all were delicious!!! What I like about these macarons is that they're not dry. They're crunchy on the outside but moist on the inside. At first glance, the cream part looks clear, so it looked like paste rather than cream, but upon eating it... CREAM it was. Price: I really don't think I can complain about the price. 3 for $5 and 10 for $15. I will definitely be visiting their booth again now that I don't have to drive all the way to Dadeland to get their macarons. I got their brochure. I was impressed to see that they have wine tasting every Fridays from 7-9 PM. Maybe when I have those rare windows of study-free weekends, I'll visit their actual bakery. read more

This is how every bakery should be !! I stumble on this amazing bakery thru Groupon years ago for a wine tasting. The wines and the paired up combinations were great! This place welcoming and Delicious , delicious and delicious!!! I absolutely love it! I have been here soo many times over the years ! They have a big variety from salty to sweets and different wine selections !! The macaroons are very reasonably priced and delicious! (Less than what you would pay at Whole Foods or food market) . The quiche is very well made! I always ask my husband for one of their cakes for my birthday every year! The absolute best is the 3 layer chocolate cake !
