Super cute place to relax and have a cocktail or spend some time with friends while listening to…read morelive music. It is an outdoor venue with ample seating in comfortable chairs with a terrific view of the water. We went I. The evening so perfect time of day as not too hot. They only have a few shaded spots. The entire area is well appointed and you can tell tight was out into the customers comfort. There is an upstairs balcony to accommodate people as well. I believe there is an indoor bar that is small and a lounge area in the historic house for the winter months. This is located along a Main Street in a small town so parking is hard to come by. They do have a small lot in the back for four cars. This lounge is part of a bed and breakfast as well. The staff is lovely and super attentive. They is one gentleman that walked around and made sure to check in with everyone to make sure everything was okay and that everyone was having a great time. There was live music as well which was terrific. Most all drinks are rum based, but they do have some vodka/gin concoctions as well. We ordered the old fashion with rum and the margarita. The old fashion was very tasty and was served with Luxardo cherries! The margarita was also good and had the perfect balance of tart and sweet. They do have snacks as well as very good cookies. This is a wonderful hidden gem that had a lovely atmosphere, amazing views, talented and attentive staff, and just an easy and relaxing vibe. For sure a great place to check out!

I'd say that's the only thing that's lacking here. I know they're not a full blown kitchen but it's fine if you're not starving. All the servers we've had communication here with were awesome!

With the spacious building, it would have been nice if they had a rooftop. We enjoyed our drinks. I had what they called a smash burger. What I will serve was not a Smashburger. The menu had that the patties would be crispy. But that was a regular hamburger. I enjoyed my side dish of mixed vegetables which consisted of spinach, red and green, bell peppers, and onions. My cousin had a crabcake sandwich along with a side salad. Next time I'm in town. I definitely will stop by. I had a wonderful Server by the name of Jason!!! He was really cool and was good at his job.

Ruined Mother's Day dinner - Poor management and bland food…read more We booked a reservation for Mother's Day at 4:30 PM two weeks in advance, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, we arrived to find no table held for us. We were told we should have "requested" a table, despite the booking system offering no such option beyond "Inside" or "Patio." Even after being moved inside, we were still forced to sit at a high top. The food was equally disappointing. The nachos were a fraction of the size shown in the promotional photos on the wall. The cheesesteak and fries were completely unseasoned and lacked any salt. For a holiday meal that we planned well ahead of time, the below-average service and lack of basic hospitality were incredibly frustrating. We won't be back.

After finishing a great lunch upstairs in the historic Bayard House, we wanted to check out the…read moreHole in the Wall bar in its basement. Looking through the glass panes in their door at the bottom of the steps leading to the back yard and C & D Canal, it appeared that the lights were off and that it wasn't open for business at 3:00 p.m. The door wasn't locked, so I opened it to step inside to try for a better look. It was then I saw a woman behind the bar who appeared to be setting up for business. She also saw me and asked if she could be of service. I asked if the place was open? She explained that it was, and she would be happy to make me a cocktail, however, they rarely had customers this time of day midweek, and that if I was hungry the restaurant above would certainly be happy to take care of me. The conversation continued briefly as she explained the two businesses had a common owner and shared a kitchen with a slightly different, but mainly overlapping menu. The large dining room next door was shared, although there were several tables in the shadows as well as a few barstools. The darkness seemed appropriate; like a cave where many things could be hidden from view and likely to instill a sense of secrecy and even conspiracy, for example, a perfect stop for the Underground Railroad or a speakeasy during Prohibition. Realizing I was taking up her time, and that she had better things to do than listen to a stranger's fantasies, I excused myself and exited the door I had just entered. She smiled and nodded, as she continued wiping the glassware in preparation for the night's guests.

The bar tender was very nice, very courteous . Then the issues began to emerge. Keep in mind what time it is and there are only 6-7 people in the bar. The men's bathroom was filthy. Like there was excrement on the wall, trash cans over flowing and toilet paper on the wall, stuck to it. All over the floor. The bar tender said something to the manager and the excuse was that it was the bait parade the night before. They have had over 12 hours to clean the bathroom. The nachos were absolutely gross. Poured cheese, 3 jalapeños, cold chicken. Two years ago it was a mix of cheese and smoked chicken, and delicious. I hope the owners read this and take note. Your saving money on cheap ingredients will lose clientele. A gross bathroom should have you shut down. Do better. You have a great location and a special little bar.

We weren't out for a super expensive dinner and everyone wanted something different Pizza: The pizzas are excellent, yes even the GF crust. Sushi: had two specialty rolls, one we have never tried and it was fresh and very tasty Lobster Mac and Cheese: GF pasta and again it was delicious. From our experience the upstairs price for what you get is hard to beat in value and consistent food quality - from pizza to steaks, pasta or seafood they have a wide variety of options in both price and cuisine.

He invited us back out to give the restaurant another shot - and we are so glad he did! We weren't sure what to expect for the second time, and to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Every single part of the experience was phenomenal. We tried a new appetizer (I can't remember the name but it was a crab appetizer). The crab was fresh and overall, delish. We ordered the Hairy Chinn sushi again, as we did love that the first time. We both got cocktails from their menu, and they were both so unique and refreshing (we even ordered a second round!). I tried a chef special, which was the Picanha & Charred Scallion. When I tell you, it was absolutely perfect! Everything, even down to the olive oil mixture was tasty. My fiancé ordered the crab cakes and he raved about them as well! We ordered a side of Candied Brussels sprouts - and they were easily the best Brussels sprouts we've ever tried. We couldn't resist dessert and got the crème brûlée. We loved every bit! The service was 10/10, and our server was great. She was attentive, friendly, and knew the menu well! Valet parking moved much quicker, and you can't beat the beautiful view of the boats and the water. We had so many great things to say about our experience that now our families are planning their visit too! We are so grateful that Matthew reached out to us. Inviting us back has certainly turned us into loyal customers and we cannot wait to come back!
