Communication was extremely poor--many of our calls and emails went unanswered, and we often had to follow up repeatedly to get basic information. We also found ourselves continuously having to check if they were doing things properly. For example, they neglected to take moisture readings before removing the drying equipment to ensure that our house was indeed dry. Although they apologized, the same issues continued throughout the project. Dealing with a home mitigation situation is already stressful, and the lack of communication and clarity only made it worse. It is incredibly unsettling not knowing what is happening in your own home. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Harris Restoration, especially for insurance-related work, where clear documentation, transparency, and consistent communication are essential.

This is all one big lie. In my 40+ years as a home owner I have NEVER worked with such an unprofessional and incompetent contractor. This company took 3 months to perform a job that they originally estimated to need 2 weeks. And their work was incomplete and extremely poor quality. I had to hire a second contractor to clean up and complete the job. WARNING: You will most likely hear these statements: (1) "There is no completion date because we have no way to know what we will find once we get started." Translation: We don't know what we are doing. (2) "We need more time because of various complications." Translation: We don't know what we are doing. (3) "Our website and our company name say 'Restoration' but we don't do that any more. You need to find someone else for that work." Translation: "We lied. We never had any intention of bringing your property back to its original condition. Tough luck for you." As just one example of their incompetence, I had to tell the company owner to clean the filters on the ductless system, and to remove the attic insulation. WARNING: You will pay for nothing but a lot of excuses, and your property will be wreaked.
