Wendy is the best! Also, their basement is loaded with some of the most advanced PT equipment I've ever seen.

I had sessions mostly with Russell and Paul who are both very kind and knowledgeable therapists.

She helped our baby over a handful of appointments (~2 months, every couple weeks) to tackle torticolis, which was so successful that we were able to avoid having to do any baby helmet treatment (usually ~$2000 because it's typically not covered by insurance since it's considered cosmetic). Our baby had a flat spot on the side of her head early on, so with the recommendation by her pediatrician we went for a helmet consultation relatively early around 3 months. They said treatment couldn't start until baby had sufficient neck control and the treatment would likely need to be combined with PT. To get ahead and because we really didn't want to do the helmet if possible, we pursued PT as soon as we could. It was impossible to find anyone in our insurance network and everyone we looked into had rates that were about the same. My own PT for postpartum recovery and other locals highly recommended Kids on the Grow, so we went with them! They also came to our place for all of the appointments, which was extremely helpful as sleep deprived first time parents. With baby PT you need to be involved and do "homework" with your baby in between appointments, but they make it really fun and it's wonderful to see the progress!! Initially we did have some issues contacting their office because they didn't get any of our emails or phone calls. My own PT had to help connect us via email. Otherwise, once we got a hold of them the staff who we also communicated with were very good. All paperwork was done digitally, which was super convenient.

The first night was not favorable, no staff greeted us and the person that first entered the room was solely focused on inventory of her belongings and not helping her into bed or other important firsts. However, much to my surprise, day 2 through 7 were much better. The nurses are very efficient and caring as well as the physical therapy and occupational therapy teams. One nurse, Wesley really stood out. Truly exceptional! My advice in general is visit your loved one often in this type of environment, but Harmony overall is a very good choice!

Multiple employees, including employees (CNAs, nurses) that have direct interaction and contact with residents. Many of whom are older folks who might be more susceptible to illnesses. I don't know, are there any of those going around in 2022? Can't be anything more than sniffles I suppose. One nurse in particular was kind of a jerk. I had to ask the nurse/nurse assistant to put her mask on since I'd seen her coming in without it. When someone asked her something--about how long something might take--her response was a kind of flippant, snotty "it takes however long it takes". I think the question was really more how far is it, is it crowded or whatnot, will I have to wait... to which she could have answered either without the biting tone or simply been a bit more kind.

We spent two weeks doing in home OT & PT and this man got me going on the right track. By the time we parted I was well on my way to recovery. Fast forward to this January where I had a total left knee replacement, a different ballgame from the hip. Again I was fortunate enough to have Peter, the Zen Master of Physical Therapy. He set me up with a list of stretches and motion exercises to get the new knee operational. Made sure I knew the proper ways to move, getting in and out of bed, in and out of chairs etc. We worked on the motion of the knee, bending and straightening, which helped immensely when I went on to outpatient therapy. He definitely took me to my limits but never past. By the time the two weeks had past, I had exceeded the goals my doctor had hoped for. All because of Peter. Thanks brother, you're the best...
