I have been a long time client of the Elmhurst Athletico. I have seen PT's come and go over the last 5 years and the one thing they all have in common is there dedication to the client. The care that I have received and the friends I have made has made rehab more tolerable. I actually look forward to my visits. Laura, Kayla and Hope have given me excellent care and information regarding the numerous surgeries I have endured since 2018. I am rehabbing from my 7th procedure so I consider myself to be the perfect person to write a review. My care has been first rate. The staff gives me the motivation I need to push myself to improve. They're friendly, courteous and caring. I consider them all friends! Also, the Manager Katie and the front of the house staff, Jessica and Joe couldn't be any more accommodating. After injuring my knee playing tennis, I received an order for physical therapy from my orthopedist. I decided to go to the Athletico in Elmhurst because of its stellar reputation and proximity to my home. During the two-month period I worked exclusively with Katie McGlynn. When we first met, she asked me what my goals were with PT and I said, "Just get me back to where I was before the injury." I consistently worked with her three times a week and she provided at home exercises for the in-between days. She was professional, friendly, attentive, motivational and highly knowledgeable. We worked on flexibility, strength and balance as well as focusing not just on my knee but also my core and hips. I have not only gotten my knee back to where I was before, but with emphasis on my hips I have gained additional distance in my stride while walking and lateral mobility on the court. It all starts when you walk in the door....it is so friendly and welcoming, you just feel good about the day cause every PT there makes you feel that they really care about you and the pain you have...they do. It is a genuine "family" atmosphere there. Remember that Feeling good and positive inside is the first step to conquering pain. I have been an active tennis player for over 30 years. I developed sever shoulder pain and thought my playing days were over . After trying to do some home remedies, I decided to contacted Athletico of Elmhurst . The intake review was very thorough, diagnosed the problem and outlined a plan for rehab. Brooks was very knowledgeable on the cause and we began a rehab program. What was impressive , was his questioning and diciphering of the cause of my pain, carefully working at relieving the pain and working to rehab the shoulder. I couldn't be more impressed by Brooks ability , knowledge and caring . The entire staff is friendly and professional . The staff at the Elmhurst Athletico office are first rate! They work well together, conferring about patient care. They attend continuing education conferences and share new information with each other. The care they provide for their patients is obvious when you watch them work. They work hands on with patients never leaving them waiting. I have not been kind to my body over the year and each new pain gets treated separately. Rene has guided me to take better care as I walk and move. I can walk further and do more since starting physical therapy at this facility. Since then, I have been working on my physical therapies with Laura Campbell who is very professional and I really appreciate her positivity and great attitude. I would highly recommend the Elmhurst Athletico. I had surgery on my Achilles' tendon which requires a lengthy rehabilitation. Katie did an excellent job adjusting my therapy to challenge me over the many months I attended therapy there. They were very accommodating and had flexible hours. I received a text message the day before my appointments which was always very helpful.
