I saw dr. O'Reilly for knee pain. It was suggested I have knee surgery. Got an injection that didn't help. I called to see what I should do next and the person I spoke to suggested I get another injection. Turns out that person was not a medical professional, but I don't find until I'm in the exam room, doctor says sorry and shouldn't be here. They bill me anyway so I try calling about it and nobody wants to talk to me. I left messages at his office, on My Chart, the billing department. I even called the number to schedule and they said they will send a message directly to him. Heard nothing. How would I be able to trust these people to do surgery on my knee. read more

Did not help me at all. Real waste of time. Went for 5 injections. Only seen the doctor once and that was on the 1st visit. He was with me for about 2 minutes. My insurance fully cover it because I'm paying for a full coverage plan. I could see why many insurance companies won't cover it. read more

My knee had been bothering me for over a year. I visited 2 different doctors, who basically did nothing but say I am getting old and have arthritis to boot. I figured I had nothing to lose by trying the Joint relief Institute where 100% of my costs were covered by medicare. I had Ahnna (Not sure about spelling) who was a delight.She gave me all 5 of my injections and after only the first one, My knee felt great!!!!! So I am hopeful, however, they were very Honest and explained the 5 may only carry me for 6 months or so, and that when it starts hurting again, to come back and redo the treatments. Their ads on tv state that Medicare covers the services. I have medicare part a and Medicare part b as well as a Medicare part g supplement and I keep getting bills. I paid an additional $141.16 and now I received an additional bill for $115.84 for a service 7 months ago. this is fraudulent. I called them and spoke to someone who took a message and my number and stated I would get a call back but no one has contacted me. read more

Where to start with the Orland Park Illinois location of the joint relief institute. This was a place for 6 months I brought my mother to this place under positive reviews and the best medical approach and treatment for bone on bone knee pain and a confident attitude that the staff and medical team know their stuff could not be more disappointed with the result and treatment we received. The beginning of the year insurance changed and as many experienced insurance covers all but what you need, this place was unreal we arrived for a booster for some pain relief in agony and were not even given the courtesy of a professional person to person to attempt a resolution to this from insurance we received notice over a tablet and the tablet was even collected after the notice that they would not help us from the pain. This was addressed in the most unprofessional manner after apparent lies that they could be of any assistance at all. The goal here is not to negatively review but many people trust their medical health each day and we should be able to believe we are more than a medical insurance card. read more

Do all of your homework with your insurance company before you even think of coming here. Make sure the Joint Relief Institute is in network, learn your copay, determine if your copay is the entire flat fee or if there will be possible billings that you will need to pay yourself, and discuss your deductible with your insurance agency and how it might affect your payments. You will not be given a clear-cut or definitive answer by the Institute. The insurance specialist that I spoke with did not appear to know her stuff. read more

I received the weekly series of gel injections at the Edina clinic and I saw no improvement. The staff was always efficient and friendly and very willing to answer questions. I had an appointment for a follow-up visit last week and was contacted before my appointment and told that the provider was ill. I visit the Orland Park location for my second injection. Medical assistant put me in treatment room with me thinking I'm going to get my second injection. Instead she put in treatment room closed the while she waited for the billing department to come talk to me about a bill that i wasn't aware of!!i set in that damn room for over 30 minutes! No one never came in the room to say a word to me! I have i was originally told that Medicare covered everything! For the past two years i never received a bill! Nevertheless to say I walked out of the room after sitting in there for over 30 minutes! Without any communication or injection!!! This place is getting more and more unprofessional and lack of customer service by the minute!!! I AM Done with this bunch of unprofessional parasites!!! I went here for gel injections and i really liked it. Never in my life have i had fluid on my knee until i started to get injections. It was very painful and i had it removed two times. I still had fluid 5 days later after i had fluid removed the 2nd time and i made an appt and they said on the phone insurance might not cover it again but they made the appt for me anyway. I go there and the actual doctor came in and said that i probably do have fluid after feeling my knee and said we can not drain your knee more then once a month due to it causing infection if you do it more then that. He proceeded to say id be on an iv with meds and possible surgery if that happens. So i went home. Come to find out i know someone else who comes here and this person has been having fluid on their knee as well. They have been draining this persons knee once a week. Wow how strange that is. In the mean time i decided to have knee replacement so i canceled my appt to come back. The call center told me that i should not do the surgery and come back and try different gel injections because the surgery has a 30% chance at failing and continued to tell me how its not good to do surgery. I told him i was told i could not get my knee drained more then one time a month and he said it was due to insurance. I told him then i was lied to and do not appreciate that at all. I really thought this place was trustworthy. Just very disappointed. Would of been nice to tell me good luck with your surgery and im sorry the gel didnt work out. What a racket! Not happy!! Edit: they said their executive team were going to call me and nothing. They know this whole thing was just wrong im sure. My wife has been going to Joint Relief institute for a couple of years. She has always paid her deductible at the time of service. Recently, we received a invoice from them for over $500.00 dating back to April of 2023 ( 17 months ago ). If she knew this from the beginning she would of never received all the shoots. I arrived 10 minutes early for my recent initial consultation appointment at the Oak Brook office. I sat there for 40 minutes, and I was never called in to see the doctor. The receptionist saw me sitting there and never bothered to update me about the situation, so I left since I had other things to attend to. After such a terrible customer service experience, I won't be back. I was made to feel like they didn't care if I was there or not. They were rude and unprofessional. I also sent further details to their contact email, support@jricares.com. I'll see if they ever respond to that email. UPDATE: Joint Relief Institute never replied to my email to them about this situation. It appears that any negative feedback is swept under the rug by them. Any business needs to take negative feedback into account in order to improve their business practices. I want an apology from the Joint Relief Institute for how poorly they treated me. read more

I have been going here for three years. I have never felt better and the injections make me want to get out and do the things I love; swimming, going to flea markets, air shows!. Its a series of injections, given each week for 4 weeks. I have had them before at another place, but they just used to stab around and not get into the joint. .. this place had the xray that they can actually see where the gel is getting into! The staff is courteous and very friendly. After receiving knee injections from the joint relief institute for over a year, I feel like I can leave a respectful and honest review of the services and process. Note that I can only speak for my experience with knee pain. The process involves three steps being fluid drain, steroid injections and finally lubricant. The treatment can only be administered once every six months. My issue is that the treatment works almost immediately and lasts for perhaps 2 to 3 weeks. The fluid drain and steroid treatment offer immediate relief and the the expensive lubrication treatment, in my opinion is absorbed into the body within a few weeks since the pain seems to come back in full force after that period. I have blue cross blue shield PPO and was stunned to learn that only a small portion of this procedure was covered. Large bills stated coming in the mail even though JRI said I was "covered". Makes me wonder if the insurance companies don't take this process seriously since the coverage is so weak. I have stopped going to the JRI and have learned to manage my pain with cold treatments and Advil when needed and have achieved the same results as with the injections. My primary doctor has also advised that prolonged exposure to steroid injections can even make the knee condition worse! read more
