Less than 5 months after having knee surgery, I ran a marathon. That's right. Dr. Rawal IS incredibly gifted. My scars are minimal and he clearly got me back to running in an unbelievable amount of time. Dr. Rawal is not much like others in his profession. I never waited more than a couple minutes in his waiting room (what??? Yes, I am sure I'm talking about an orthopedic surgeon). He spent time with me explaining my diagnosis, showing me the MRI images, answering my litany of questions, allaying my fears and truly caring about me. He also got me in for my first preference of surgery date. On my surgery day, he calmed me down when my anxiety began to kick in. He also showed me pictures from surgery both in recovery and again in my follow-up visit. I couldn't have been happier about my experience with him at the Hinsdale Surgical Center. I highly recommend and endorse Dr. Rawal for your orthopedic surgery needs. You will not find another surgeon as customer service oriented AND talented as him!

I'm sure that all of the surgeons are outstanding in their specialty. Dr Rawal is the bomb. This man's skills are outstanding if not gifted.

I had scheduled surgery this morning. But even before today I had to come for bloodwork, scans and…read morea pre-op counseling class as a precaution. Honestly I was, at first, thinking this was a lot. But I quickly changed my mind. I was assured they knew I chose the right hospital! Registration was so easy, the associate was extremely professional but also had such an amazing personality. She could see I was nervous, she took the time to stop for a minute to let me know I was in good hands. She wasn't saying that just to say it, she has experienced all kinds of services and she would never go anywhere else. I feel bad I forgot her name because this was 3 days ago. 8/17/26 6:30 pm is when I met her. Fast forward to today, arrival was 5:45 am I went up to the second floor and check in was smooth - all of my information was accurate so I just waited for my turn, I made sure to get names this time! My journey began with Pre-Op nurse NATALIE, best beginning to my scary day! Her bedside manner should be standard. So kind and patient, explaining everything. She raved about the ELMHUST Team in comparison to other facilities/ experiences. The next step to my journey was surgery, Nick was my OR Nurse, again explained what's happening and the team that would be in there. Margaret, Anesthesiologist Nurse and Dr Bautista, Anesthesiologist . Just as amazing Margaret heard my surprise with the OR table and helped to reassure me. Dr Bautista was fast but clearly explained what his job was and what the procedure would be. Margaret had a CCU nurse but I couldn't remember her name ( I'm sorry) she was so sweet smiling the entire team did Great! Next stop over to Post Op and Wendy! I don't remember much but I do know she stayed close, she was kind. She explained everting went well and the Dr had already notified my family. I think I slept a lot of Post OP because she said after a little while they need me to stay awake, she told me where I was going next and I was rolled away! Off to Observation a new unit in the first floor near the ER. It was really nice- clean and definitely everything new. STAFF! Kudos to all of them for their professionalism, kindness, comforting words and supportive comments. Everyone was GREAT!! RN: Ricky PCT: Elizabeth RN: Jaquita PCT: Xavier PCT: Marilou Literally everyone was a little ray of Sunshine. I didnt have any bad experiences. Apologies for my winded review but if you chose Elmhurst Hospital for your Outpatient Surgical Services you will not regret it! PS my Surgeon Dr Ryon Hennessy and his PA are from Orthopedic Specialist. I will do a separate review for that team. Also Hospital OT team, I will do a separate review but still GREAT

I was told by a nurse to park outside the main entrance because my father would be brought down shortly. I waited for about an hour, but he never came out. I called Customer Service for an update, and they told me that he had been released a while ago. However, no one brought him down to me like I was told they would. I then spent about 20 minutes looking for him because he had given me his phone. When I finally found him, I learned that he had been told something completely different--that I was supposed to wait outside of his room for him. They also told my father that I wasn't answering the hospital's calls. However, I answered every single time they called. I would repeatedly say "hello," but there would be no response on the other end. So I was very confused and frustrated to hear that they told him I wasn't answering when I was picking up every call. This resulted in my father and I getting into an argument because we were given two completely different stories. This could have easily been avoided with better communication between staff, patients, and their families. Overall, everyone I interacted with was kind, but the communication definitely needs improvement. Please work on making sure patients and their families are given consistent, accurate, and clear information. Thank you!

The doctor I saw seemed to be running a race she spent less that 15 minutes with me at all appointments and seemed to be on autopilot just trying to get me in and out as fast as was humanly possible. When I went to call the office to address some side effect from a haphazardly rushed procedure I went in for I was told I was not in their system as a patient which blew my mind as I had made multiple appointments with them before but when it came down to a problem they caused I did not exist??!! I was given the run around by employees that did not want to give me the time of day because according to their "system" I was just a crazy lady calling the wrong place. Well after some deductive reasoning and a few call backs I came to the conclusion they had my information wrong in the system and I was able to eventually be directed to someone that cared enough to check for me! And I was right! They had my information all messed up but were able to correct it all for me. So 5 hours after my initial call I finally have someone call me back to address the post procedure issue I was having and all I get is OH THATS JUST A SIDE EFFECT SORRY WE DID NOT MENTION TO YOU BEFORE THAT YOU WOULD BE PHYSICALLY DEBILITATED BEFORE WE DID THAT, OOPS SORRY GOOD LUCK LIVING LIFE WITHOUT YOUR RIGHT ARM! I would never trust my heath to these doctors ever again, they care to little about their patients. I came out of here in worse pain than I went in. An absolutely frustrating experience that I hope to never have again.
